  • Not many, whether inside or outside of local racing are aware that jockey Paul ‘Country’ Francis is close to achieving the significant milestone of 800 wins. Country goes about his work quietly, without any fuss, and is totally committed to the profession he has chosen. In this exclusive interview with Quickgallop.com and its RUclips Channel - The Quick Galloper, this quiet and unassuming lad from the country recounts his career in the pigskin from the time he started to now.

I do believe that this jockey has the record for being involved in the most "DEAD HEAT" finishes in the world. In one year I think he was involved in like 6 of them. Big rider country Francis.

I remember his first winner, was an apprentice race his second ride for Noel Ennover. The first to ride a winner from his batch was The late Kemar Lynch, R.I.P. It was the first apprentice race for his batch. I beleive S Ellis and P Parchment also came from that batch.
