Hi Andre, I am currently in the process of submitting my documents for skilled migration after selecting EOI in the Pool. I have obtained a C1 Advanced (CAE) certificate as proof of my English language proficiency, and I understand that C1 is a higher level than B2. Could you kindly advise whether the C1 Advanced certificate is generally acceptable for skilled migration in place of B2 proficiency? I mentioned the C1 Certificate when submitting the EOI and I received the ITA also. I want to ensure that I meet the language proficiency requirements accurately, and your expertise in immigration matters would be greatly appreciated.
Question - does this mean the Greenlist work to residence pathway is more or less useless now? For example someone can do a Masters in ANY area (doesn't have to study greenlist areas) and then work 1 year and get residence? As always thanks for very useful info shared in such a concise and factual way. Hoping you see my question. 😊
Hi, I’m wondering if I can get the points for my bachelor degree, if it is not directly related to the skilled occupation for which you want to claim the years of experience in NZ ? For example bachelor in English and then travel consultant for the occupation. 3 points for the bachelor and 3 points after three years of experience in NZ (paid at medium wage)? Does that work?
Question : What if I pursue my master's degree in New Zealand and gain 5 education points? After gaining 1 year of experience following my master's in New Zealand, I can earn an additional point, bringing the total to 6 points.
Thanks for the useful video. Can a PhD graduate from Australia with a job from an accredited employer of NZ get Permanent Residency in NZ within 1 year of that job ?
I have question, as i am having masters degree which is Nzqa Level 9 and I worked 3 years in New Zealand ICT Sales(Residential customers only not business customers) Now I moved to Europe. Does ICT Sales(Residential category) gives any point?
I am the most unlucky person here in NZ. Came here as a student in 2019, studied level 5, 6 and completed remaining paper for a year, these all took 3 years, got my PSW in Early 2022. No job in relevant field as I studied computer animation and visual effects. Didn't get selected for one off NZ residency, Second PSW options removed by the NZ immigration law. Haven't found the job yet, remaining 7 months left, couldn't get 29.66 per hour for AEWV either. No job, Unemployed for last 3 months. Got scammed and car stolen in Auckland by Indian and a Fiji Indian. Thai Auckland lord not returning my 3 weeks bond. Never ever thought New Zealand would be like this. Most of us are sadists instead of humans.
If I have a Masters degree and I have one year of experience in New Zealand, it means I have 6 points? Experience should be from Accredited Employer or not?
What about ICT sector? Is that mean applicants with master degree having overseas ICT work experience cannot apply? I have 5 points for education with 4 years of overseas ICT work experience. What should I do to get additional 1 point?
Hello sir i have recently got my Teachers registration from NZ, do i need to work in NZ for claiming the work experience points or i can claim for my work experience here in pakistan
Hi Andre, can you help me clarify if the "skilled employment" the pre-requisite for the 6 points? and does the number of the years I spent in NZ has any influence in this new system? Thank you very much!
I don’t think the time spent in new zealand matters at all, all they are looking is years of EXPERIENCE in SKILLED WORK in New Zealand. To be able to claim points. So if you are like me. Spent over 3 years, in nz. And to make it simple was washing dishes as a job. And working as a skilled job since less than 6 months. I can’t even claim one point on experience yet with their new system. AM I WRONG??
@@christopheur9758 You are RIGHT! Applicants must meet INZ's definition of "skilled work experience" to claim points. The total years spent in NZ may also be relevant for the application even those years weren't in skilled employment.

so fresh graduates like engineers, simply can not migrate to NZ? bcz based on this 6 point system any graduate would get 3 points (or probably 4?) for 16 years bachelors of engineering. And that's it, no NZ experience cz what's the point of it we still need to migrate how can someone have experience in NZ before migrating?

They could potentially get residency in 1-year assuming they meet all criteria. But it's not a "yes" or "no" answer. It depends on their case.

Job offer is compulsory or not
Can we apply and migrate without a job offer ?
There is a job search visa which leads to residence but it closes 15 August 2023.
After that you need a job offer in most cases.
