As a New Zealand born Kiwi. I want to give people some advice. You really need to protect yourself from employers in New Zealand. Many of them often lie on Job adverts or once your in the job, they want you to do 3 jobs in 1 or they advertised a full time position but once you’re in the interview they only offer part time or casual employment. So, here’s some points to consider. 1) Many jobs advertised in New Zealand are often “part time” or “casual” i.e. they may offer you 2 shifts a weeks. 2) The bulk of jobs range from $21.20c to $28 an hour (depending on the industry your working in) 3) Don’t be surprised to see 100s of law, math, or science graduates working low pay positions. 4) Wage theft or the manager not able to get enough hours each week is the norm. 5) Most contracts only offer 16hrs a week with the chance to get addition shifts. Hope this helps. This has been my experience. Really think twice about coming to New Zealand or at least Christchurch. Auckland maybe better for more stable employment.

What does a migration advisor do? I know they cost quite a bit but do they just advise what should be done? If they charge you like 5000 NZD then that's only the migration agents cost?

Hi I applied for an accredited employer work visa every thing is perfectly ok but 18 years ago I use to live-in New Zealand entered on a false passport absconded from detention center stayed there for two an half years then marry to a new Zealand girl there but still they refuse me at that time now I have apply again for AEWV what do you think will INZ Approve my visa or decline.Regards.Imran.
If INZ has a record and the officer sees it, then yes, your AEWV might be refused unless granted a character waiver or special direction (if applicable). You may also be affected in the future if you try to apply for residence. It depends on how accurate their records are from 18 years ago. I am a migrant from New Zeland and I wanted to go back but due to this pandemic the Borders got closed in 2019 and my work Visa Expired. Could you tell me the further fate of migrants as in will we get work visa?
Did you not qualify for a border exemption? Some migrants trapped offshore qualified. Basically the only thing to do now will be to get a new job offer (maybe your previous employer can re-hire you) and apply for a new work visa. This won't be possible until 2022 sometime.
