I can't find this kit in stock anywhere? I have looked on your distributor list, emailed many of them and ordered from 1, but it's been on back order for a while. Any chance you guys are shipping any out within the next month?

Is it possible to make a 4l60 shift almost as quick and smooth feeling as the 8/10 speed transmissions? Even with a Corvette servo it still feels kinda slushy and awkward feeling, it would be cool to get that sexy sounding pop shift that the new Camaros have as well but I guess I'm asking for a bit much haha
Hi Chris, good question. There are a few reasons why a 4L60E won’t shift quite like an 8/10 speed transmission: 1) The 4L60E uses a band for the 2nd and 4th gear shifts. The shifts take longer to apply by design because there are more components involved. Later 8/10 spd units are operated clutch to clutch, which allows for quicker shift transitions. 2) The 4L60E is only a 4spd unit and has a rather wide ratio gap between gears. Models with more gears will narrow this ratio gap, for less rpm drop and quicker shifts and acceleration. 3) Regarding the popping sound between shifts, this has more to do with engine tuning. Later performance vehicles often use a form of fuel cutoff between shifts to mimic lifting the throttle for a smoother transition. The temporary lean condition and any unburnt fuel in the exhaust can ignite and cause the pops and crackles. The good news is Sonnax offers a variety of performance products for the 4L60E that can improve upon this: www.sonnax.com/gm_4l60e. Feel free to contact our tech support team for help.
