I just finished doing this installation on my ‘76 Bonneville. Having this video is like having a master mechanic looking over your shoulder while doing the job. Thank you for this and all the other videos you produce. Great job!!
Professor todd , thanks for doing this video, it's good to see a professional bike builder take the time and effort to explain how to do things .
Thanks again 👍👍👍✌
Thank you so much for this fine introduction to installing a Pazon Ign. I have recently bought a 68 Triumph that wasn't holding idle and by watching this I found that it was just too far advanced, once I corrected this it is now running nice and smooth. Who ever owned this bike before me and installed a Pazon Ign didn't know how to fine set it at the end with the timing light, made a world of difference. You have a customer and student for life. Really appreciate all the time you have put into these educational videos. They are truly wonderful, wish they would have been around when I was a kid, but in those days computers were something out of science fiction and the most advanced type of video education was the black and white TV set hahahhaa.......
Mm BB
Best ever video's I've ever had the privilege to see, beautifully presented, plane, clear and concise.
As someone said it's like having your own personal mechanic 24/7.
Wish I had the opportunity to buy one of your bikes.
Keep it up, Great.🤩
Hey bud, great tutorial my Bonnie needs a new Pazon and I’m crap with electronics but now after watching you I’m ordering a new one and will self install.. cheers... if you make it to England my doors open for a coffee or beer
As always, great video Todd, and great insight from an experienced professional!!!
thank you for your 1hr12min of learning. Great work, so very useful.
clear instructions, showing every single detail, everyone could follow,
reassuring for any novice taking on the installation
Thanks for the sharing this process! We went through it on my 850 Norton pretty much step by step pausing to follow along as we installed also. Worked great! Recieved all my engine electrical from y'all. Nice to have a business that you can trust and have some support if needed! My bike is alive again after a 25 year nap.
Adding to my earlier comment regarding my stuck in the wrong position magnet for the Pazon ignition. I used a slide hammer on the m8 bolt that threads into the centre of the magnet. Very easy. I used the two finger puller on the head of the m8 bolt. The timing is done now and it is perfect.
Great video! As others have said, that attention to detail is what makes the difference,.... i.e. The close up view of the proper wire crimping technique. Thanks again, and keep them coming.
Excellent patience and easy to understand wish we had all this information in the60s happy days. Many thanks
I rebuilt my '72 Tiger 750 twice in 3 yrs.....man did I do a lot of things wrong. You gave me inspiration to try again, well done thank you.
Really helpful video (like all your videos) - I'm just about to fit exactly that system to my TR7, which is also negative earth. Your simplified wiring diagram is also excellent. Thanks very much for this - If I was in the US I'd make a point of visiting to buy you a beer.
Thanks for the great detail here. I have been stumbling around trying to decide which IE to purchase for my 1978 Bonneville. You made my mind up for me, Pazon sure spark and a pair of Tri-Spark 6V coils on order for my T140E. Gonna use your video as reference.
Awesome, super glad you found this useful! Happy Wiring!
@@lowbrowcustoms Spent a wet day in the garage today fitting the Pazon. Re-watched your video last night just to boost my confidence a little. Apart from my T140E being +ve earth, I followed your guide.
One observation: On my bike the coils are located to the rear of the battery under the seat. I had to get a little inventive on placement of the Pazon Module to enable the ignition trigger wires (Y/B & B/W) to reach their intended terminals.
The hardest part of the whole job was removing the old Auto Advance Unit, but some gentle heat combined with an improvised slide hammer tool broke its 44 year old grip.
On the bright side, the bike fired up 2nd kick, which it hasn't ever done before.
Just need to tidy the wiring up a touch and then strobe-time the ignition tomorrow.
Thanks again for a great video.
Excellent and thorough step-by-step instructions with lots of unique tips on how to make the change to the Pazon ignition go smoothly. Thanks for taking the time and effort to put this online.
Thank You for taking the time to do a step by step install. I am a mechanic myself but unfamiliar with brit bikes. All the videos I have watched have been easy and FUN to follow. Its as if I am watching myself. Thanks and keep up the good work
Great video, question for you, if you don’t have the cover with the pointer, how do you strobe time the bike to get the timing spot on .
Excellent Todd, I have recently purchased a 1972 Triumph Trophy x USA. It's in need of a lot of love and $$$$$ but I'll get there. The Pazon Ignition System will be a definite purchase.
Excellent instructional video 👍
Really enjoyed this video - I never got round to doing this on my 1973 T100P back in the day. Brilliant explanation of the ignition system.
Thanks for a good video, I just bought a bike with this ignition and I've never had one before, always had points on my triumphs.
Thanks! I've got my grandfather's 71 Trident here in the shop now. I'm going through it and debating how I want to breathe new life into it. You've shown me a few tricks I hadn't thought of. Appreciate that. Wiring is definitely my next move. I'm still debating Pazon over Boyer. Any help with the old Triple is appreciated. THANKS!!
Feel free to call Todd and pick his brain 1800-935-5050
@lowbrowcustoms I think I'm good thanks. I just wonder how many people don't know +POSITIVE ground.
Thank you very much for this video ! as I endeavor to install the electronic ignition on my 1977 Bony 750 I had many questions ...but you answered them all ...THANK YOU
This is so bad ass my friend.
I was under the impression that wasn't possible... I am happy to see i am wrong.
Where do I send the check
Love how simple and beautiful that maroon bike is. Thanks for the lesson.
Todd, thank you for this. I just finished watching the Lunmad version and it's comforting to see the info in sync. I may end up with Pazon but it has the boyer on it now. Just need to check it out. See if it's viable. Mine is a 1971 TR6C motor on an old '63 Tiger frame with a springer front end. The way you thoroughly covered this subject will keep me coming back to Lowbrow for lessons and parts like that Antigravity Battery, for instance.
Out Standing.....A+...This is the best instruction i have ever seen on you tube........
Exceptional detail and great quality too! Really like all your tips and tricks from your experience. Installing a Pazon in my Bonneville tomorrow. Thank you very much. -Kirby
As usual Tod a great big help to us all. Keep it up.
Great video....well explained especially the alternate ways of doing things...very impressed with this gentleman...
Just ordered everything I need for my 1967 T120R....good video thanks
Absolutely brilliant well explained i have now prescribed watching this in view of doing my xs 650
i dip the wire in silicone before crimping them and shrink tube, just a title added waterproofing . thanks for doing this video.
Seriously one of the best companies to buy from or contact for advice.
thanks so much for the love!
@@lowbrowcustoms Thanks for being such a reliable group of folks. My Triumph and I thank you.
A master class. Thank you for this video.
Great video. Thanks for taking the time to explain the process step by step.
You are the best to explain how to do
Thanks man, definitely gonna help me with getting the T120 humming.
Nice tutorial Todd, thanks, thoroughly enjoyed it.
These Pazons are great, my bike one kick just about every time.
Enjoyed watching this. Great attention to all the little details. I'm lucky to have a Boyer already installed by the PO, but I'd been wondering how it works since the manual only shows the original ignition setup. Time to go check whether I've still got old coils.
i like your work ethic and the pace you move along . great vids . ty
Thanks, this video helped me to remove the ingition rotor. Made a simple lookalike slide hamer 😀
Thank you for the instructions. I'll be trying to get my Triumph chopper running this year. I'll be buying a lot of parts from you.
Good work Todd.
You're my hero. Thank you so much for this wonderful video!
Way above my capabilities, but great to watch a professional in action.
Thanks for this. This will be my next mod. I’m sorting out my 66 t100 with points that I’ve heard started. I found out my battery has 6v and it’s from 2011
Very good video, thanks for sharing your experience
Hey Todd, you are an awesome teacher mate!!
Excellent video very detailed great job 👍
Thanks Todd for making this video. It helped me get my '69 BSA running again.
Great video!
Amazing video as allways thank you!!
Many thanks! Todd... the real number one!
Thanks very much very very informative video
You really are a gentleman sir.
well done great help had one done not convinced he did it right now i can check it out 74 tr7 he said he had trouble getting a reliable timing mark ??????????????????
Great video very informative and really well explained.
excellent work fella
Awesome video! You guys help me out more than you know. Would this work on a 1979 T140E?
Amazing! Thank you so much for this video. Heading over to your website now to order some parts :-D
HI Todd ....Great video, I have a 71 BSA with the inspection cover, I followed the video a few times still no luck . other than the rotation position is there other tricks for BSA
In Manitoba I would solder the connector to the wire then shrink wrap it. The pot holes are deep here after the winter.
thanks, really helps with installation.
nice job, very helpful !
Great one Todd and crew. Is that the Lowbrow 4" stretch 2" drop Triumph 650 hardtail?
Nice job mate🇸🇪👍🇦🇺
Sir I really appreciate your detailed instruction on the pazon installation, a job well done!!.....Furthermore I would like to know what is the correct cam for increased proformance.....Thanks in advance.
Is that the bike we saw Tyler make a rear fender for? Looks great in red.
its a different one... but very similar builds. todd has a distinct style
thanks best video for doing the job. Cheers Bro.
The bike is 'drop dead gorgeous', and the insight you give is just wonderful. Do you build bikes like this for clients? Could you export one to Europe?
Thanks for the kind words, sorry we dont' build bikes for others, sorry for the 1 year delay on this response...
@@lowbrowcustoms No worries. My thanks for replying!
Great video, thanks
Nice bike there... Beautiful 👍
Great Video....What year bike is that? Where did the headlight come from? Thanks @lowbrowcustoms
Hi todd
Sorry to trouble you would you recommend 2 x 6v coils with pazon or single twin spark coil
Which would you prefer
Regards Keith
2 6 volt coils
Nice video!
great video. 1 question. I want to install the pazon on a A65 BSA, would I turn the rear wheel opposite of the way you turned to line up the timing mark with pointer?
excellent video, really helped me out
Ol Harley man new to trumpets. 64 t100 gonna be quite similar to the one you're working on. Quick question does the motor know whether you're doing negative ground or positive? Thanks for any help
Excellent video and thank you!! I'm ready to do the switch over on my 68 Bonneville. Questions: I have an 12 V dual lead coil. Is this going to change the wiring or do I just eliminate the jumper wire? No condensers needed correct?
You are correct a 12 V dual lead coil can be used as long as it is in the 4 -4.5 Ohm range no jumper wire needed ,and no condensers are needed with the Pazon system
Very nice bike!!!
Thank you for this video!!!!!
Do you know the measurement at the piston BTDC for 38 degrees? I'm trying to time a 1977 Triumph 750 Jubilee and I think it has the older style primary case. Would be a lot easier not remove the case cover and use my spark plug hole dial height tool. What is the height of the piston at 38 degrees DTDC?
Great video!!!
very good and helpful video.....
Are the settings the same on a 1978 t140v
Todd, When you use the primary cover with the window, are you running the primary dry or are you temporarily running some oil in there? And when you put the original primary cover back on, are you seeing the gasket with silicone?
just curious.. if someone doesnt have the right primary cover or access to one, do you or anyone else make a tool for it? like a bar with a pointer on it that attaches with a few screws and spacers that will put the pointer at the same spot it would be with the cover? id not, you should design one - possibly even have the pointer relocatable for different makes / years
Hey Todd, do you ever wire the motorcycle with a Lucas Capacitor, instead of a battery? Everything is the same pretty much, except there was a zener diode, in place of the voltage regulator. The Capacitor in place of the battery. I had a 71' BSA 650 back in the day wired like that! Too bad that transistors we're not invented yet, back then!
Installed mine, runs great, headlight cuts motor out, what gives my brother? Headlight is halogen. Is l.e.d. headlight worth a try?
How many cells is the battery you use?
Battery we are using in this build is 4 cell anti gravity www.lowbrowcustoms.com/products/antigravity-batteries-ag-401-lithium-ion-battery-4-cell
Can you set the timing with a strobe light if you don't have the cover with the hole in it? I'm thinking i should probably get an extra cover. I'm buying an old Triumph tomorrow that doesn't come with that type of cover.
How do I move a firmly stuck magnet that was installed incorrectly behind the trigger-plate ? Yes I loosened the sockethead cap screw. I tried moving the magnet with a screwdriver. I tapped on the springclip with a wooden dowel and a hammer. Do I need a small gear puller ? Today is Sept 4th.2022. Please help.
Would this system be suited to a 6t pre unit Triumph? Single coil. Fantastic video thanks for posting.

So with what appears to be 2 trigger coils, they chose to fire in the exhaust stroke like an HD ... not as precise but probably 'good enough' for the average application?
Do you have to run 2 individual coils or can you run a dual coil?
Thank you!!!! You are an awesome teacher! Helped lots. My motorcycle used to have retarded timing of about 2 degrees with the points, probably cuz it kicked back on me once and f"@"ked up my foot. lol Now with the EI I have a good spark, all test readings are good except for zener diode that I haven't tested (another thing to learn). Tried to start it and no go, ordered a modern regulator/rectifier so I can eliminate the zener diode and rect. Will see if this works. It coudn't be because my timing is still retarded 2 degrees, shouldn't be hard to start.
Excellent, I think Pazon is good stuff. I wonder how long the hair is now
