Hi Jon can I ask have done soft top with bird poop on I've cleaned one today couldn't get all out with koch chemie po ,an app even green star by hand an drill lightly thanks wayne
I have the MJJC, but it's now not working very well and seems to be producing really watery foam. I changed the filter on it but it hasn't helped. I've moved over to my secondary foam cannon (one from MATCC) that is working pretty well, but I'm looking for a new primary. Probably going to wait for the one from Active to release and give that one a try, as they really seemed to be listening to community feedback while designing the unit. Hoping for good things from that one.
The BigBoi cannon looks interesting and you can pick it up for £60. I’m currently using the MJJC V3 S, The bottle is quick connect and clear with 100ml markings. Foams great too.
I use this everyday for my detailing business and I can say it’s not great build quality. The bottle has broken twice and the dilution of solution to water has went from 1:10 to 1:13 after about 6 months of use. The filter is clogged up even after cleaning and they don’t do replacements

Chiming in from the US. Not sure if you're able to get the Griots Garage Boss foam cannon in the UK but if so, it's excellent. Fully stainless stainless steel and it doesn't leak when you shake it up. You can use metering tips with it or straight up and just diltue your chems. I gave up on the new PF wide mouth because of the trash engineering. Every time you open it the top comes off so the 1/4 turn feature is useless.
you can really torque that plastic bit down though mate. Ive put a bit of thread lock in and that bit seems to be holding. But yes my gut instinct is the design will wear out the little tags that hold it in. It does not feel great. Griots Boss cannon you cant reliably get in the UK. but I think its also 70 quid.
@@ForensicDetailing thanks for the reply John. Agree with you. If someone is paying 70 quid you shouldn’t have to modify it to make it better 😎. It should work great as designed this is the biggest flaw with MTM. Sad because I love mine but need the wide mouth so I switched to griots. Hope you can get those soon.
Just got the Griots this month, I do like it as well as the MJJC V2. The build quality is also better and foam more consistent with zero leaks or back spray. Hi Jon, maybe time for another best snow foam lance video, updated for 2024? :) I find the 22.3 a very lazy, poor design update and I baulk at the prices for most of these new lances. They seem pretty darn expensive for me, bordering rip off, for what are cheap looking plastics! Even the generic Amazon one has increased in price since all those years ago sadly and there's not much to them. A good cost vs performance analysis of the market would be fab. 👍 Or, if thats unlikely to happen, what are some of the top options for that £30-40 ish bracket you mentioned? (I half toyed with the idea of getting a Griots when on holiday there but those opportunities are few and far between).
The griots boss looks the bomb. Other than that prolly mjjc pro v2 is good. I think mtm have been perhaps lazy because we know they can do so much better. I hope they do better
@@ForensicDetailing Yeah same, I know they can do better but they are asleep at the wheel currently. I keep reading about a Mjjc pro V3 but not seen anything yet (one guy said he expect it to be rather expensive , £100+, as all Stainless). Pro V2 on their official website is £72 which is pretty scary for something Chinese made!! Not sure I could ever spend that amount for it. What I'd absolutely love though is for a British brand to come along and completely knock it out the park (a BH of snowfoams if you like) and for it to be UK made...however thats very wishful thinking I think!
I see in2detailing have the V3 MMJC cannon for £50, it lists 12 improvements over the existing cannon. I bought the V2 after Johns review/recommendation, very happy with it. Be interesting to see what you think of the V3.
Perfect timing - i was literally about to buy the MJJC. I notice there is a version 3 out now? Any thoughts? Ive also heard that the foam produced is thick but dries out quicker than other cannons due to a dual aerator or something. Wondering can you relate / comment?
I've got the V3 and find the bottle great. Really like the non threaded connection & although taller, still stands upright fine. It looks more premium in my opinion compared to the pro. I personally remove the added foam inserts as they make the foam ridiculously thick. It's fine for something like BH Autofoam but for thicker foaming products it's a hindrance imo.
John, if MTM start offering some of the ideas you suggest, I reckon the cost would be even more prohibitive, it's already expensive as it is. On the other hand, why don't you design one, get it made and see what interest is out there. Fresh Layers might be infested in collaborating on such an idea. Interesting content as always, thanks.
millions of tooling ideas I have written down. the more interest you have in detailing the more all these ideas come to you but my landing gear is down, the channel is more a means to early retirement for me than a means to spend my life running a business (which is nothing but stress). every area of detaiing I look at the designs and theres is opportunity. trigger sprayer designs, lance designs, machine polishers, buckets and grit guard systems, brushes, microfiber innovation etcetcetc. some good companies out there with some great ideas and drive to bring things to market. vast majority of the businesses though in detailing that dont innovate. the world we live and breath, they are not even aware of it. Take Karcher for example. Im not even sure 99% of their staff know what a snow foam lance is.
If 3 different chemicals were available in one compartmentalized bottle you have every surface of the car coated with the wrong chemical application. Murphy says so and he’s generally right, it is, after all, law.
could do but you could color code your chems. I could pre dose say snow foam, wheel cleaner, contact shampoo in my containers. put tiny amounts of Koch CB or CG or CY dye. dose out into your lance. could see that being usefull to someone.or a better means to go lance to nozzle (seen a few ideas out there on that but they all look budget) but theres endless ideas. Even like a hinged mechanism to fill it so you dont have to take the bottle off and set aside the main bit while you fill up.
@@ForensicDetailing I think it’s a brilliant idea, it’d save me and others lots of time and frustration fumbling around attaching and reattaching. I wrote that tongue in cheek of course. Were I still doing detailing professionally I’d be drooling over such a foam cannon, 1st in line to buy for sure. I recall when I owned a detail shop one of my employees called saying come to the shop ASAP, Porsche 930 issue. He’d sprayed the BBS wheels with chrome wheel cleaner, it’d etched the aluminum chalky white. It took 2 people 6 hours to polish out that mess; the owner would have had us killed if he’d seen it. Love your channel/videos, fabulous content and my go to for entertaining and educational viewing. Cheers!
@@ForensicDetailingI would prefer 1/2 extra bottles with own tops and a quick release (bayonet?) to body as would save time constantly mixing/dosing. Store unused chemicals in each for next use and only one nozzle to flush clean.
MJJC performance is excellent, noticeably better than anything else I’ve ever tried, but it has one major flaw. The thread on the bottle is crap, far too soft and too easy to overtighten after which it’ll never lock properly and can fall off. I’m on my third bottle after being extremely careful.
that griots boss one came out after the MJJC. I think you mean the griots brilliant finish cannon that had a swinging ball. But if you look at the brilliant finish internals its a PA copy. :) its a never ending circle of the copy :)
Just got my mjjc , for which I blame you as always. Very happy with it tbh , particularly after using a cheap thing because I stupidly originally figured they were all the same🤦🏻♂😂
1. In late 2019 I bought my MTM from County Detailing Supplies but quickly realised that the orifice was wrong for the Litre per Minute my industrial pressure washer produces. In early 2020 research led me to MTM's distributor in America who were able to supply the correct sized orifice. They also had upgrade parts (a replacement steel filter (genuine), a stainless steel screw for the top knob (the one you complained about rusting), wide bottom bottles (version 2) and caps for these so that any left over chemical / different chemical could be stored safely. I purchased all of these and had them sent to a relative who was on holiday in America at the time. During my telephone conversation with them when placing my order they mentioned that they and MTM were working on a wide mouth version of the PF22. I told the person that instead of redesigning the PF22 the best way to do this was with an adaptor cap that would screw into the PF22 permanently and a new wide mouth bottle would screw to this adaptor and I explained that this method would mean all existing PF22 owners could upgrade without buying a complete new unit. I'm glad to see they took my advice (wish I had patented it). All of these items and the weighted filter ball for the syphon tube are available on their website. 2. I've mostly stopped visiting your channel as you now want to incorporate half an hour of a stand-up comic show into your videos instead of the concise reviews you used to do.
I think the new MTM bottle is of poor quality and just won't last. I bought one from ECA Cleaning and they admitted it was of poor quality but refused a refund. I have had to file a PayPal dispute to get my money back.
yer thats minus any adapter to connect it to you gun mate. its 54.99 I think with adapter from ECA they have 30% off deal going. but their RRP is 70 quid. still thats best price right now.
I believe the bear force foam cannon is just as good as these for the price. I paid 25.99 for the brass version ,and i should have got the stainless steel one . Anyhow the foam cannon is amazing really puts out some thick foam. I upgraded to sitimilil brand orifice 1.1 and it changed the thickness of foam compared to the orifice that came installed. Bear Force foam cannon with a wide mouth ,clear bottle, and the weighted steel ball filter. Amazong foam cannon . I would never ever spend $100 dollars on a foam cannon
MTM wins. Or the Italian one you still own 😅 MJJC is made in China so hard no from me. Why put money in their hands when I can support US/EU companies.

Not seen that. But have seen smash plastic cone and bent adjuster shaft.
Elephants trunk & balls dangling in the wind🤔
The dual thread and weighted pickup tube are both innovations from the Griot's Garage Boss foam cannon that MJJC (and others) have now copied.
that griots boss one came out after the MJJC. I think you mean the griots brilliant finish cannon that had a swinging ball. But if you look at the brilliant finish internals its a PA copy. :) its a never ending circle of the copy :)
I paid 54 for mine from eca cleaning
In Italy i paid for MTM 45€. I think it’s a good price….
In australia I paid for MTM $169.00 😭
Did you seriously just do a foam cannon head to head without actually using them (yes I know you've used them both a lot)? Are you ok Jon?
Mjjc ALL day long!
Love my mjjc cannon, but it’s definitely not worth the price
60 effing quid, eff off! Lol
I think the new MTM bottle is of poor quality and just won't last. I bought one from ECA Cleaning and they admitted it was of poor quality but refused a refund. I have had to file a PayPal dispute to get my money back.
Interesting m8. My poor quality alarm bells are triggered or suspicious but time will tell.
Waiting for the MJJC Pro V3 😎
whens it due mate?
Just the fact that a chinese brand is a top performer is outstanding
ECA cleaning £49.99
yer thats minus any adapter to connect it to you gun mate. its 54.99 I think with adapter from ECA they have 30% off deal going. but their RRP is 70 quid. still thats best price right now.
John would have been good to see the gun working and less chat 30mins of not much info more action less chat
theres shots in there of the gun in use mate.
The screw cap on the Bear Froce is really poor though. Mine broke.
I have an Mjjc pro..I bought another snow foam bottle of Temu
for 5 quid and find it equally as good. These expensive brands are a rip off.
MTM wins. Or the Italian one you still own 😅
MJJC is made in China so hard no from me. Why put money in their hands when I can support US/EU companies.
Thanks for another great video :). Btw go carnivore or keto and stop snoring, like i did. It will change your life and sleep. I have no intention in beeing rude, but i used to make the same sound when i inhale,i no longer do.
I have viral chest infection right now. voice is nakered breathing is nakered. obviously you talking to a pro athlete here. I will be back in training soon.
@@ForensicDetailing sorry for not minding my own business, but hope you will give it a go. I think about this in every video i watch.
If my presumptuations about the snoring is correct, you will absolutely love getting of carbs. It changed my life :)
@@youaakeOk buddy, noted. Now let’s get back to Detailing that is the purpose of the channel.
