  • In this video I show you how I made this bookshelf in the shape of the MD11 airplane , with CNC.
Because I do not have my own CNC, I go to my local makerspace/fablab 'de Kaasfabriek' (cheese factory) which is located in Alkmaar, The Netherlands.
For this bookshelf I used one sheet of 12 mm birch plywood and for the horizontal parts 6 mm birch plywood.

This is such a creative way to incorporate plane to a furniture. Great job!

I love your videos and have a cnc myself. Your videos give me great inspiration which ive seemed to have lost over just a few years. It would have been awsome if you incorporated a few small leds in that shelf. Take care and keep on doing

Really awesome project! Can you tell me what kind of screws you used to secure the plane the way you did? I've never seen that before and looks really secured on there. Thanks for sharing your video!

Thanks for watching. The threaded bar I used to secure the shelf on the wall is called a dowel screw or hanger bolt.
