Yes mam Mrs Susie, that stuffer is built like a tank, hopefully with some maintenance, it'll last a long time!! And yes mam, hopefully I can get some sausage done up this weekend!! Thanks for watching Mrs Susie!! Dan
I don’t really know anything about making sausage, I’ve seen little bits and pieces of people doing it but that’s all, but having said that, the equipment that you’ve put together for your setup looks like it can’t miss! Whatever kind of stuff you buy if it’s got weight to it, that’s good. If it’s light, it’s got plastic in it and when plastic fails there’s not any coming back from that. Just like our cars today, when they fail, out they go and we get another one. I’m looking forward to seeing all of this equipment in action and learning with you about this process!
No sir, I try to buy decent equipment because I'm big on longevity, little maintenance and this gear should last a long time!! I'm ready to sure enough put these guys to work!! Thanks for watching sir!! Dan
Congratulations on the new equipment! That's going to make life easier over hand cranking. I appreciated that you shared about how you selected this brand. It's really helpful for anyone looking to purchase.
Hey Mrs Gail, I hand cranked for a while and yes mam, this new equipment will make short work of grinding and stuffing sausage for sure!! Thanks for watching and supporting mam!! Dan
Hello there mam and welcome to my home in the sticks, glad ya stopped by and gave my channel a look!! Thanks for watching and do come back and visit when ya can!! Dan
I love it, Dan. I like how you explained why you went with each brand you choose too. That would help me decide too when I go to purchase me some equipment.
Yes sir Ronnie, heck brother, I did months of research, mainly because I didn't have the cash saved up, but when I noticed everything was on sale I had to go with it!! Thanks for watching bro!! Dan
Well, I went ahead and went to Amazon and saved them jokers in my cart for when I get the money up haha. It may be a year or so but I got it saved and know what to get now! If you got links to share let me know and I will make sure to use yours if I get them.
Hey there Mr Jim, I've made sausage before on a friends equipment but I've never made summer sausage yet, recipes are a little different from what I hear for summer sausage, next thing I may build is a small wood smoker!! Thanks for watching sir!! Dan
Awesome!! We really like our Hakka, we've been looking at getting a bigger one down the road as we've been processing a couple hundred pounds of deer sausage lately!! Thank ya for watching and do let us know how the stuffer is working for ya!! Have a good weekend!! Dan
Hello there Kelsey Bang and welcome to my home in the sticks, glad ya gave my channel a look!! Purty excited about the new equipment, hopefully I can put them guys to work over the weekend!! Thanks for watching and I'll sure step over to your channel and give it a look!! Dan
Thank ya for watching and commenting georg cantor, welcome to our community and the channel!! I haven't had not one problem with the Hakka stuffer as of yet and it runs flawlessly!! The only thing I'd do different is purchase a bigger stuffer that holds more product!! At the time I was only processing 50 or so pounds of deer sausage when I fist purchased this unit, I'm processing several hundreds of pounds of meat now and this stuffer will do the job just fine, I just have to reload the cylinder often!! Hope I answered your questions!! have a good week,m stay safe!! Dan
oooooh ! wow, very nice equipment, sausage making on a larger scale ! i did get quite excited looking at the hand cranked equipment, which is my favourite, great video ! looking forward to seeing them working. thanks Dan take care
,,,very good Dan,, man it don`t get no better that making you own,, i enjoyed watching this video for sure,,T,,F,,S,, green onion sausage i`m going to have to give that a try,,,
You're all set now! You're freezer is going to be well stocked with sausages. Great to have such a variety. Looking forward to the videos of you putting all this new equipment to use.
Hey Mrs Michele, funny you spoke of the freezer, I was just looking at buying another upright freezer because I done run outta room already lol!! Hopefully I can put this new equipment to work over the weekend, supposed to be raining all weekend!! Thanks for watching mam!! Dan
Hey dan some nice new shiny gear. I still need to pickup a mixer but I'd like to get a 40lb mixer cause I hear they really don't hold the capacity they are rated for. I've read blogs that 20lb mixer run better with 15lb and the 40lb with 35lb. But I guess I'm not surprised nothing runs great maxed out.
I've read the same brother, but heck, it's just me so I'll probably run 10 pounds batches!! I'm gonna put these guys to work this weekend Lawd wills!! Hope all is well at your home place brother and thanks for watching!! Dan
Shoot brother, I'm tickled pink over the equipment, I finally got ahold of some natural hog casings, I'm good to go now!! Thanks for watching brother!! Dan
Hey There! I'm new to your channel. I ran into your channel just in time as I've been looking for a stuffer and came to the same conclusion as you did. Also looking at a meat grinder so I'll check the one you have out as well. I haven't finished looking at your videos to see what kind of smoker you have, because I want me some smokes sausages. By the way, do you have a favorite recipe for a good Andouille sausage? Just thought I'd ask. :) Thank you for this video, it helped me to know I am on the right track.
Hey there Mrs Shelly and welcome to my channel!! Glad ya gave me a look!! I have not made any Andouille sausage yet but I've been doing some reading on some different recipes, as far as smoking the sausage, I haven't done that either, I'm a fan of the thin skin sausage, I like to freeze mine after I stuff them!! Sounds like your on the right track on your equipment and I will say, once you get to making sausage, you'll never buy any from the store anymore!! Thanks for watching mam and do come back and visit when ya can!! Dan
I'm a bit on the quiet side, but you can bet I'll be around. :) Thank you for your reply sir. By the way, My husband is AF Master Sergeant Retired, Combat Arms. 24 yrs, 2 mo. 6 days , 16 hours but who was counting? Combat Arms turned into Security Forces before he retired. :)
I don't know if you like Italian Sausage but I just made some of this the other day. I had to add some extra red pepper flakes though, I do like it hot. It turned out very well. allrecipes.com/recipe/35989/hot-italian-sausage/
Looks like some really good quality pieces. I would love to get into making some sausage. We are working toward buying as little as possible at the grocery story too!! As our garden has grown we have really seen our grocery bill decrease! I'll look forward to seeing your new equipment in action!! Thanks!! -Lea
Thanks for watching Mrs Lea, I'm moving towards not buying any sausage from the store at all!! Hopefully the garden can keep me away from store bought veggies as well!! Hope your having a great week mam!! Dan
Lol, I'm fixin to get after it Mrs Janette, I got this equipment because I believe it's gonna last a long time, I'm gonna put them jokers to work this weekend!! Dan
Looks like you're on your way to sausage heaven! I'm sure that venison sausage will be awesome! Now you have a good excuse to hunt more, as you have a sausage stuffer to feed....lol! Maybe adding elk and or goose hunting to your hunting activities, you can keep that machine stuffing...lol! Better get or build a giant smoker next. Keep up the good work Capitan Dan!
Ya got that right brother, I need to keep that guy fed!! I have a ton of deer meat to process so that may keep e busy for a lil while!! Smoker is on the to do list!! Thanks for watching brother!! Dan
Nice sausage maker, what was it made from again? The grinder I really like, that motor is almost as big as the one we use on our swimming pool! Okay, so we ground the meat, toss it into the mixer (I'm with you, green onion sausage sounds delish) add the veggies, herbs and spices to the meat, mix it around and then straight into the sausage maker? I'm with everyone else, can't wait for the demonstration and I request it in the style of George Foreman. LOL! :-)
Oh yes sir, I'm gonna put that equipment to work hopefully this weekend Mr William!! The stuffer is made out of stainless steel, your correct, grind up the meat, add spices and into the casings they go!! I plan on making some patty sausage as well!! Thanks for watching sir!! Dan
Thank ya for watching Mr Tom, welcome to our community and the channel sir!! I like to interject humor into the videos if I can lol!! Preciate ya commenting on the video, have a good weekend!! Dan

That looks great Dan, I'm ready to see you make and cook some sausage. I have had that same grinder for about 7 years now, it works awesome. I haven't seen stainless tubes before, those have to be better then the plastic ones.
Thanks for watching brother, I heard that grinder was a beast so I rolled with it!! The stainless tubes were a plus on the stuffer, I'm ready to get some sausage going!! Dan

Yes sir Mr Bob, I did a good 5 months of research and ended up with this equipment, longevity wise, they should last a long time with proper maintenance!! Thanks for watching sir and have a great week!! Dan
That's some sweet looking Gear Dan. You made a video a few months ago about some shelving you bought @ SAMS for $99, I think you should have bought 2 of them LOL. I can see you in the future walking around the shop scratching your head thinking "where the heck did I put that Insant Pot ?" :-)
Lol your right brother, I need to get another one for sure!! I'm running out of shelving now!! I gotta find shelving for all the new gear soon. Thanks for watching brother!! Dan
so a few months later, how does this stuffer work for your deer? I think I'm going to buy it for those 1lb wild game bags and stuff my ground venison with it.
Hello Snakepit Bytes and welcome to my channel!! The stuffer has served me well as of today, I have processed about 40 pounds of green onion sausage with no problems!! I normally process all my sausage during the winter months because it's so hot during the summer here in MS, if I had access to a refrigerated room, I'd be stuffing sausage year round!! Hope this answers your question my friend!! Dan
Hey Dan, after watching your video I went on Amazon to buy the Hakka Sausage Stuffer. After I read the description I was concerned when it said, it had resin beveled gears. Does that mean the gears are plastic? Btw I really like your videos. Thanks
Hey Mr Grant, thank ya for stopping by and watching the video!! As far as I can tell, the gears on my sausage stuffer are metal, it could be possible that Hakka has made design changes after I purchased my machine. Hope this helps ya some sir!! Have a great week!! Dan
Lol hey Mrs Martha, yes mam I actually do!! I'm super excited about getting some sausage in the casings!! Thanks for watching mam and have a great week!! Dan
