I remember coming up with a version of Silentheart that used “corrupted” versions of physical mantras Instead of using Ether, they used dread stacks Using a mantra completely went through the dread stacks, but were *very* powerful in exchange Example: Strong Left with full dread would summon those ghosts next to you that would punch with you, creating a big shockwave that sent opponents flying on top of the regular punch Example2: Strong Leap would summon a ghost above you as leaped, which would throw you higher into the air. Landing on an enemy will apply knockdown and insta guard break Example3: Master’s Flourish will create 2 more sweeps after the original animation, the color of the second and third sweep match the tattoos. Here's a rework idea I had: Silentheart Rework ideas, not final Remove Silentheart as an oath and instead, make it a sort of "starting attunement/origin" Upon picking it, you will start the game with no ether nor tempo bar, instead being given a Dread Gauge (replace ether) and a Rampage bar (replace tempo). Silentheart will get a set of mantra equivalent depending on their attributes. Meaning that they won't be using classical physical mantra. Most of them will be revolving around sharp and strong attacks. And also, they won't be called mantra. Silenthearth will also not have a resonance, instead receiving a gift from the dreadstar in late game. The Dread Gauge will be a red segmented bar, starting with 10 segments. The number of segments is affected by willpower/intelligence/charisma. Having 10 segment of the dread Gauge, you will be able to press G to fill your Rampage bar. The Rampage bar is technically a single segment and cannot be heightened, and will be the main gimmicks of silentheart. It can be used as a sort of vent by pressing G when full, making you flashstep, becoming invisible for a few seconds while "teleporting" you in a certain radius around where you were to escape a combo (but can also be used to try to start one). That way we can also replace the red vent thingy that is just lame tbh. The Rampage bar will also be used in other ways... Using a Prowess (silentheart mantra), a part of your Dread gauge will be consumed depending of the move. But your Prowess can also be empowered by using the Rampage bar (effects are to be determined by devs) by perfect casting it while having the rampage bar full. (Silentheart prowess won't have the classic perfect cast mechanic, it will only be used in this case.) The resonance progress that other player gain will be converted into something else, that the dreadstar will use to grant you with an equivalent of a resonance for silentheart, as they reject the song.
fun fact : mani katti proccs shared misery and you can stack it with nlk, idk why it counts as an m1 so you can basically kill everyone in the depths with 1 mani katti
you forgot to mention traits, since silenthearts dont need erudition or songchant they can just put 6 into proficiency which just gives them 30% more weapon scaling for no drawback whatsoever
One other way of fixing sh dmg is by removing its ether anf replacing it with a dread stack bar, and overflowing only procs on max dreadstacks, combingin it with dread stacks being used as a resource it forces sh to either play with a dmg boost but no moves or with moves but less dmg
ngl with the enchants on mani katti n such it would be fine you would just have to make enchants that work with stacks like deto only proc 1 stack on those enchants which would end up making it fair with this rework imo

My idea for Silenthearts and reworks is more like the following the veins are hidden Silenthearts instead of having a ether bar get a red bar that i would refer to as Hatred or Rage when a silentheart parries mantras it increases and can be manually activated which causes the initial veins to become visible indicating that youre using it Hatred or Rage will increase your raw strength and grant you one new ability to use which should be like a quick beatdown skill using a few kicks and slices/punches to deal massive damage but in return entirely depleting the bar and depending on how full it was will either deal normal dmg or a lot of dmg Silenthearts actually get a talent that allows them to use different kinds of equipment and have an infinite amount of them with an cd like bombs, Hunters brace but not potions Silenthearts casual insane damage boost is actually not active until Hatred or Rage is activated instead in base will have much more resistance to mantras which will dissapear during Hatred Rage which makes Playing silentheart more consistent so you have numerous playstyles you can pick Silenthearts vent is instead replaced with a short distance teleport with endlag that does work during stun making it much harder to vent predict them Silenthearts are incapable of using certain enchants due to them inducing the song Ankle cutter should temporarily disable jumping and silentheart crits would have a slightly increased cd in base and a slightly decreased cd in Hatred or rage
4:25 Multipliers are not multiplicative, they're additive. So it would be 1.25+1.15+1.1 = 1.5 damage multiplier. Another thing, ardour scream and overflowing dam RARELY proc together, since ardour scream takes away ALL of your ether, and you need to have 100% ether for overflowing dam.
My friends were talking to me about silentheart once and we had completely reworked the oath, which basically came down to becoming something of attunement-less demon. Basically take away all of the current moves and instead have silentheart modify existing attunement-less mantras. For example: Strong Left now is a two part mantra, first punch and then TP behind your opponent, punch them into the ground and apply knockdown. Rapid Slashes is now a huge aoe move that creates a ball of slashes instead of being a tp move, just like how you suggested they change Mani Kati. A new mantra that we came up with was a grab mantra that would slam down the opponent and pull ether out of their body, that ether then turning that grab into a random mantra out of their kit, also no longer allowing them to use it, and if it was elemental your abilities would assume that elemental effect for the next, lets say 10 seconds. Another Talent that I had thought of was basically a bell counter, since they also use the song right? I called it Out of Tune, when you hit an opponent with your silentheart induced mantras, knock the rhythm of their resonance off track. Basically, for the next 30 seconds after landing a move the persons bell is janky as hell, for example, smite would randomly zigzag around the user and has a chance of hitting them instead, or sacred field would ALWAYS be JUUUUUST out of reach so you can't reap it's benefits.

Especially when you think about how people like Toji and Maki would basically do the same thing under the same circumstances, also the fact that existing silentheart moves teleport your and send out waves of what I assume is air pressure. Could also turn ether into stamina or make each pseudo mantra take dread stacks.
Give silent heart a bar like gale that fills with mantra parries and damage done to you by mantras at full press x and u get a domain area around you where your m1s apply cleave (rip of metal armament) after 1 sec after a m1 lands another slice happens on them
I had an idea for a silentheart talent, that being something I call, silencers aura Basically when your health drops below 30% you generate an aura that persists untill you are downed or you heal above 30% The aura would be rather large about half the size of a chimes arena, and work just like tranquil circle, no mantras may be casted within it and any projectile mantra shot into it from outside the aura is instantly destroyed, anybody who attempts to cast a mantra in the aura will have 5% of their hp sapped and returned to the silentheart user I feel as though this would be cool because it kinda puts them on an even playing field (they both have no mantras, the silentheart is low but has the cool abilities and passives still) and would really fix the whole, “silentheart is bad at silencing” problem
i remember someone talking about making a sub-path to silient heart where u can still select an element and get its talents but u cant use mantras and u lose some stuff like less damage on dread stacks
I mean, people already been doing it via bugs so i really dont see problem with that Maybe also another path where you're allowed to use attunementless mantras at cost of dread stacks
Maybe give silentheart mantra steal when you inflict the debuff on someone, allowing you to use their song against them. Possibly allow two or maybe three mantras to be stolen if you hit the debuff enough and after twenty or so seconds it gives the opponent that mantra back. Maybe give the mantra a minor damage boost and automatically has bloodless to fit with the edgy theme.
Imagine if they added Gate as a move silentheart can use, like it would be a tool that would copy the last mantra that you parried from your opponent and let's you cast it once. Like a one time use mantra, that you can only use if you parried said mantra first.
I would make very little sense for a silentheart to be able to use mantras at all, since they specifically hate the song and have renounced usage of it.
as a couple others in the comments section have stated, ardour scream can't stack with overflowing dam as it autoclears when your ether bar fills up a certain % just run regular ardour instead
as a silentheart main myself, the concept you said about dread fighter is not bad at all, but the downside would be that mage builds could have even more chance, due to the mantra resistance and dmg stack + mani katti and ankle cutter could be parried easily (i didn't watch the full video so might comment again when i SEE the whole video)

look man here is what i think silent heart should do. Keep everything but for the 25% grip speed shit change it into so that when you parry a mantra, you keep it for yourself, and when you block you cast that mantra with the dammage and effects it wouldve done to you, it cost a few dread stacks and stuff, parrying another mantra than the previous will replace it.
the mani katti change is so trash, main purpose of it was (for me atleast) CHASING runners. and you basically destroy that. ty ty. vengeful pursuit has a very stupid range so its trash for purposes of catching trackstars, also silentheart still is very vulnerable . my build has 530 hp with 35 mantra res from armor and equip + dreadstacks and a guy did almost a bar with ONE hit of ice daggers + crystals. silentheart is the most dog oath from rn. and it needs BUFFS not nerfs and changes.
Just a thought for the merciless blade rework, I think if you maybe reduce the cost of manni katti to like half of your dread stacks, and then with higher dread stacks the chances to proc enchants increase capping at like 50%
If you have it to where using the moves use dread stacks why remove the damage multiplyer it would balance out using mati-kati would remove the damage multiplyer
Ardour scream take all the ether which inactivate overflowing. Even u can get ether back from m1/parry (that one talent), overflowing damage only work if ur ether stay full more than 3sec Silent heart already lack of mix up and u want to restrict its ability by adding dread stack requirement for manti or ankle cutter which make no sense to me since cd is a thing.
Silentheart should have a unique ability to summon the Dreadstar when a mantra user is knocked and within 200 meters which shoots a giant projectile that sends anyone knocked and caught in it straight to depths and unable to cast mantras for 20 minutes

I’m a firm believer in removing all song from silent heart users, so no bell or murmur, instead they are replaced with a unique substitute. Murmur could be replaced with something similar to tacet, however for a short period of time (5-10 seconds) you make zero noise (SILENT heart) and a bell substitute could be a long cooldown ultimate type ability that temporarily removes song from a single opponent (10 seconds) or in an area (3-5 seconds)

That still has the same problem as rn. The opponent can just hold S or range you with mantras and you have no way to silence them. Even when you do, they'll just run and continue when they're not silenced anymore. Silence on parry is much more consistent and can be applied from any distance. Parries extending it doesn't make sense, cuz like I said, they'll just run away and not engage. Instead, silence duration should scale off Dread Stacks and consume one each time it procs so it's not too annoying. This way you still silence on parry, but you need AND use a Dread Stack to do so.
the problem with silent hearts old silence is that if you play the game regularly you just make the other person not be able to do a key thing in todays meta using mantras any monkey with a keyboard can parry

My idea for Silenthearts and reworks is more like the following
the veins are hidden
Silenthearts instead of having a ether bar get a red bar that i would refer to as Hatred or Rage when a silentheart parries mantras it increases and can be manually activated which causes the initial veins to become visible indicating that youre using it
Hatred or Rage will increase your raw strength and grant you one new ability to use which should be like a quick beatdown skill using a few kicks and slices/punches to deal massive damage but in return entirely depleting the bar and depending on how full it was will either deal normal dmg or a lot of dmg
Silenthearts actually get a talent that allows them to use different kinds of equipment and have an infinite amount of them with an cd like bombs, Hunters brace but not potions
Silenthearts casual insane damage boost is actually not active until Hatred or Rage is activated instead in base will have much more resistance to mantras which will dissapear during Hatred Rage which makes Playing silentheart more consistent so you have numerous playstyles you can pick
Silenthearts vent is instead replaced with a short distance teleport with endlag that does work during stun making it much harder to vent predict them
Silenthearts are incapable of using certain enchants due to them inducing the song
Ankle cutter should temporarily disable jumping and silentheart crits would have a slightly increased cd in base and a slightly decreased cd in Hatred or rage

Multipliers are not multiplicative, they're additive. So it would be 1.25+1.15+1.1 = 1.5 damage multiplier. Another thing, ardour scream and overflowing dam RARELY proc together, since ardour scream takes away ALL of your ether, and you need to have 100% ether for overflowing dam.
My friends were talking to me about silentheart once and we had completely reworked the oath, which basically came down to becoming something of attunement-less demon. Basically take
away all of the current moves and instead have silentheart modify existing attunement-less mantras.
For example:
Strong Left now is a two part mantra, first punch and then TP behind your opponent, punch them into the ground and apply knockdown.
Rapid Slashes is now a huge aoe move that creates a ball of slashes instead of being a tp move, just like how you suggested they change Mani Kati.
A new mantra that we came up with was a grab mantra that would slam down the opponent and pull ether out of their body, that ether then turning that grab into a random mantra out of their kit, also no longer allowing them to use it, and if it was elemental your abilities would assume that elemental effect for the next, lets say 10 seconds.
Another Talent that I had thought of was basically a bell counter, since they also use the song right? I called it Out of Tune, when you hit an opponent with your silentheart induced mantras, knock the rhythm of their resonance off track. Basically, for the next 30 seconds after landing a move the persons bell is janky as hell, for example, smite would randomly zigzag around the user and has a chance of hitting them instead, or sacred field would ALWAYS be JUUUUUST out of reach so you can't reap it's benefits.
Silenthearts don't use mantras of any kind as they reject the words of the song.

@@B0x_T00l okay fair point, so what if you remove anything elemental so you could say it's just your pure raw physical strength and speed? It's not unimaginable right? Especially when you think about how people like Toji and Maki would basically do the same thing under the same circumstances, also the fact that existing silentheart moves teleport your and send out waves of what I assume is air pressure. Could also turn ether into stamina or make each pseudo mantra take dread stacks.

I had an idea for a silentheart talent, that being something I call, silencers aura
Basically when your health drops below 30% you generate an aura that persists untill you are downed or you heal above 30%
The aura would be rather large about half the size of a chimes arena, and work just like tranquil circle, no mantras may be casted within it and any projectile mantra shot into it from outside the aura is instantly destroyed, anybody who attempts to cast a mantra in the aura will have 5% of their hp sapped and returned to the silentheart user I feel as though this would be cool because it kinda puts them on an even playing field (they both have no mantras, the silentheart is low but has the cool abilities and passives still) and would really fix the whole, “silentheart is bad at silencing” problem

Maybe give silentheart mantra steal when you inflict the debuff on someone, allowing you to use their song against them. Possibly allow two or maybe three mantras to be stolen if you hit the debuff enough and after twenty or so seconds it gives the opponent that mantra back. Maybe give the mantra a minor damage boost and automatically has bloodless to fit with the edgy theme.
I mean, silentheart does require skill though it's some specific weapons that make it braindead.

just run regular ardour instead
as a silentheart main myself, the concept you said about dread fighter is not bad at all, but the downside would be that mage builds could have even more chance, due to the mantra resistance and dmg stack + mani katti and ankle cutter could be parried easily (i didn't watch the full video so might comment again when i SEE the whole video)

look man here is what i think silent heart should do.
Keep everything but for the 25% grip speed shit change it into so that when you parry a mantra, you keep it for yourself, and when you block you cast that mantra with the dammage and effects it wouldve done to you, it cost a few dread stacks and stuff, parrying another mantra than the previous will replace it.
the mani katti change is so trash, main purpose of it was (for me atleast) CHASING runners. and you basically destroy that. ty ty. vengeful pursuit has a very stupid range so its trash for purposes of catching trackstars, also silentheart still is very vulnerable . my build has 530 hp with 35 mantra res from armor and equip + dreadstacks and a guy did almost a bar with ONE hit of ice daggers + crystals. silentheart is the most dog oath from rn. and it needs BUFFS not nerfs and changes.

Just a thought for the merciless blade rework, I think if you maybe reduce the cost of manni katti to like half of your dread stacks, and then with higher dread stacks the chances to proc enchants increase capping at like 50%

I’m a firm believer in removing all song from silent heart users, so no bell or murmur, instead they are replaced with a unique substitute. Murmur could be replaced with something similar to tacet, however for a short period of time (5-10 seconds) you make zero noise (SILENT heart) and a bell substitute could be a long cooldown ultimate type ability that temporarily removes song from a single opponent (10 seconds) or in an area (3-5 seconds)

That still has the same problem as rn. The opponent can just hold S or range you with mantras and you have no way to silence them. Even when you do, they'll just run and continue when they're not silenced anymore. Silence on parry is much more consistent and can be applied from any distance.
Parries extending it doesn't make sense, cuz like I said, they'll just run away and not engage. Instead, silence duration should scale off Dread Stacks and consume one each time it procs so it's not too annoying. This way you still silence on parry, but you need AND use a Dread Stack to do so.
add a aerial attack version of ankle cutter that does more damage with a more precise hitbox
