awesome rig btw!! im just about to wrap up my 66 ford 1-ton 4x4 5.9/nv4500 np205. just drove it for the first time in 5 years the other day.i love burbans tho!:)
Beautiful burb. Perfect stance, square body, Cummings, couldnt ask for more. Maybe put a serious turbo in it. But other then that perfect man. gd luck with it.
+06Duramax97Powerstroke I have a 6.2. Even stock, it'll spin 33" tires on dry tar without trying. Turbo'd, they make pretty good power, plenty for a DD.
For the amount of towing and other work we do on our farm the 6.2 just isn't enough. It's great for a DD, in fact I actually just picked up a 6.2 Blazer from an auction a few weeks back that I plan to daily.FCFordLord
Thats a lot of weight for a 1/2 ton. Read up on half ton swaps with the 12 valve. Its doable just a lot of work needs done to the frame to support the weight
Wow another square body with a 5.9L boat anchor motor swap. How original. Swapping ISB's has become the sbc swap of the 90's. Idk why people can't just leave them in the pos dodge trucks they come in when there are pleanty of other far superior motors that could be used
Rusty Shackleford I'm not a Cummins guy by any means, but other than a typical small or big block Chevy, what is a good engine for an old Suburban like this? Particularly for longevity and range/efficiency, and also doesn't mind getting a little wet with all the flooding that's going on in the country. Is a diesel even worth it in a suburban like this?
When I see clean conversion vehicles like this I think to myself why didn’t they do this from the factory. This is bad ass!

How hard was it to hook up your th400? I got an 81 k20 with a 350sb and a th400 would like to put a 5.9l in it
how well does it cool with the single fan??how big is the fan?
i was wondering how toe th400 is like speed wise without an overdrive i was thinking you wouldn't have a very high top speed how did yours go
Какой примерно расход на 100 км?
Where did you get the cummins engine from and how much did the entire engine swap cost?
nice suburban.
Did you use a donor truck? Is the inter-cooler from a Dodge?
Why did you get rid of your 6.2L with the Banks Kit? And why did you choose a Cummins?
6.2 is an awesome motor but it has absolutely no power.

Rick Tatorship crickets....
Rusty Shackleford Dude, Cummins engines are legendary for a reason
If dodge platform never had Cummins dodge wouldn’t be nothing today!!! Chevy would have been a way better platform!!!
12 valve cummins is as good as it gets in the medium duty diesels
