Had I not known the Cummins was never an option in that truck I would have assumed it's factory. So clean, the winch is slick too. I love how well thought out this build is.
A dream vehicle of mine is an M1028 that looks mostly stock with maybe an early generation Duramax. Or even a Dodge M880 with a 12V Cummins. Anyway, this is a beautiful build top to bottom and I love the M81 Woodland seat covers!
I've ALWAYS wanted a 12V/stickshift CUCV Blazer, but regrettably lack the space/know-how (or time and money to learn) to build one myself. I can work on stuff, but a full drivetrain swap is more than I can handle. As soon as I find a shop whose work I trust, I'm going on the hunt for the right Blazer and donor truck and making it happen. Excellent build!
I have the same truck with a 5.3Ls. With the original TH400. It hauls the Mail!!! I build a new 6.0 LS with a mild cam and a 4l80e that will go in its place. I stole his idea of the upholstered seat and Love it. It would be cool to see how this truck drives with a Cummins. I have been following his build for a while and it is cool to see it here on YT.
Literally the exact truck I want to build, I already have a 85 3/4 square, 94 p-pump 12 valve, all I need is a nv4500 and a lot of patch panels.......... wooooo gotta love Canada rust....
I have a similar truck I'm trying to get going. It's a c30 wrecker going k30 with a lift. I have almost everything except the lift. I need clearance and capacity. I have 37s for it. It seems if I go with 6" up I'll still have to trim the fenders. 8" seems like too much lift. I'm leaning more to 4"-6" and fender trimming or reshaping. What would you guys do? It's a shame my fenders are SooOoOooo virgin, rust free, perfect, and pretty. 😩😁😂
X Mo personally I decided to go with 35s so I don’t have to cut haha, and If your doing a k conversation I’d look into a 52, 56 spring swap and shackle flip for the lift to get max performance from the suspension
X Mo for that application I’d still go with a shackle flip for the better ride but I wouldn’t worry about trying to stuff 52” springs up front, I’d definitely look into adding bags in the rear but the c30 rear springs should be more then enough, also for the shackle flip diy4x makes a really good kit for it which gives 4-6 inches of lift depending on what shackles ya go with using the stock springs
Great work. I have a dually m1028. Does aunt do covers for other vehicles? I live in VT. Also, do you have a link for the rockhound rock sliders? Do they interfere with the gas tank?
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe I spied 6" springs with an zero rate and high steer swap? Very nice build, and roughly the same direction I have planned for my '86 m1028.
Hey man, really love the truck great job you did with it, just a quick question, I own the same truck, do 275mm tires fit on stock rims without spacers?
Sir, you are the King of the Hill with your build. I am so impressed.
His aunt did an amazing job on the seats!
No doubt!

Oh yeah, super clean. He did a really nice job.
What a great guy and so young! AND...what a great guy!
The bored when you're done I've had that feeling .love the square body GM's . Beautiful Rig .
Dave did a good job on this. Real clean.
OMG...
It's beautiful.
(with tears coming down my eyes)
Love seeing Gambino's Cummins-powered square
It's a looker, for sure.
Beautiful Chevy Pick up .....nice work ! Thanks for sharing ....love from Germany
Glad you enjoy it! Thank you.
Dream truck

Great plan - go do it!
That truck is so frickin sweet
It's a fave for sure
Dang, now I'm really pissed we didn't get further on Flat Iron with you guys! Next year... Kick ass CUCV too. Great walkaround.
There’s a good chunk y’all would have enjoyed, and walked all over. I’d love to see Things 1 and 2 doing some high speed stuff.
That truck is amazing
It's a good piece of gear.
Nice walk around! Dave did a great job on his truck.Gets the ideas flowing 👍
It’s loaded with good ideas for sure
Saw this stuck at the Mjt truck show last year. Very clean build
It's a looker
Thanks Dave for the help and info, bought my ox locker with his help.
👍
Love the build. Square bodies are hard to come by make sure you take care of it. My 86 is my daily when I get another daily I can start working on her
They’re pretty great trucks for sure.

I want your seat design bro!! Lol. Awesome build. Keep them coming.
You got it!

Remember I have to carry a load and drive on the streets also. You don't think that setup may be too flexy?

The only thing I would change is the rear differential lift blocks , really nice truck built like a rock
Awesome build
Yeah, Dave did a good job.
Anyway you could do a follow up video with a parts breakdown and build details? Would love to see what went into this, seems like he built it right.
I'll probably see him again in Moab in 2023. Could be worth catching up. Go find him on IG in the meantime.
Great work. I have a dually m1028. Does aunt do covers for other vehicles? I live in VT. Also, do you have a link for the rockhound rock sliders? Do they interfere with the gas tank?
You can get a look at the sliders at www.rockhoundoffroad.com/. I'll defer to David Gambino for the balance of your questions. Thanks for watching!
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe I spied 6" springs with an zero rate and high steer swap? Very nice build, and roughly the same direction I have planned for my '86 m1028.
It's a 6" spring with a shim to correct the caster. I think that's what looks like a zero rate.
Great Truck...Wish i could do a ride at Moab , too ! Gerold, Germany
We are extremely lucky to have these large stretches of public land. It’s a one of a kind experience.
Hey man, really love the truck great job you did with it, just a quick question, I own the same truck, do 275mm tires fit on stock rims without spacers?
I don't know the stock wheel size, but guessing it's around 16x7. I've seen 285s on those.
Great classic diesel off-road truck, lad.
Indeed it is!
GAMBINO!!!!!! Wallingford boys 😂😂
They repped the northeast quite well.
Is there a build link for the drivetrain start to finish? I'd love to see a parts list, etc.
Well done.
Thanks!
Nice rig
He did a good job for sure
Awesome 😎
It's a good truck
Have people just not caught up to you yet!? Only 197 Subscribers?! Fantastic video!
The channel is new (2 weeks old), so I’m just starting out. I’ll keep putting out my best quality, and hopefully that warrants an audience.
Willomet Motor & Fab it will, you are doing great work.
Just curious, any estimate on how much was spent on the build? It looks incredibly clean and I'm dreaming of doing my own build some day.
Find him on IG and ask!
Its like totally cool brah
👍
Almost how I'm building my 80 k20. Except I'm sticking a high pinion dana 60 in it and doing a 5 link front and rear. Just an overkill expedition rig
What size wheels he running with those tires?
What is that engine from? Thanks in advance.
What transmission does he have in it?
I think he said it's an NV4500
Willomet Motor & Fab oh cool I think that’s what I’m gonna put in mine when I do the swap
I think it would look better in desert sand but the green works too
NATO green tickles me for nostalgia, but I'm a sucker for flat dark earth, too
I live in Panama i love thats car iwant one pichup like this
It’s a good one
what is the model number of the Superwinch you have installed ?
Hit him up on IG for sure
Does he want to sell it now since he’s bored with it?
I’m pretty sure Dave will get a renewed sense of interest with a freshened up engine, and the tweak on that P pump.
I had a tan one I lifted and swapped a NV4500 into. Wouldn’t mind having another.
Different kind of life over the water. Here everything is bit too uptight for nice things like this.
Hey what type of brush guard is that
I think that's just the standard CUCV guard.
@@WillometMotorFab thanks bro
Someday when my 47 year old ass grows up!!
👍♥️♥️♥️😍😍😍🙏💰🚙🇺🇲👍
Anything is better than the turd 6.2. I put a 454 in mine
It's a swap done well.
@@WillometMotorFab
I thought I saw a video where you had a 6.2 and you liked them because you're familiar with them.
I'd wanna do the same thing eventually. what is needed specifically other than the engine?
