The best thing about Dave’s videos is that he refuses to talk about things that are outside his scope of expertise. That’s really refreshing, someone that admits that they don’t know everything.

So true, "Core needs to be defined." It's one of those words that get's thrown around a lot.
I use the definition of, all muscles between the bottom rib and the knees. Essentially, it's everything that attaches to the hip, which is our "engine", so to speak. Nonetheless, until we're all on the same page regarding the definition, most conversation is meaningless.

Yes, since the psoas attaches below the hip

Good mornings, all back extension variations, staggered-stance deadlifts, overhead yoke holds, side planks, gymnast planks, pause squats, front squats. Train with a 2 : 1 lower-back to abs ratio for core training. Also these combined with squats and deadlifts will make your core stronger for squats and deadlifts.

He fails to skip step one, that is proper intra ab pressure. That comes with breathing exercises, learning how to stabilize your pelvis against multi plane resistance. I have said it 1, 000 times there is no one core exercise, cause the core is multi functional, it works synergistically with you erectors and glutes. Yeah, I hear the yells" I know that!". But how many people can bear crawl 100 feet without puking?
