thx my bro im on vacation rn but returning tomorrow and i aim to use the ps5 preview to play hardcore for the first time ever so im watching so many vids of you rn to already get ready
Using Silk Touch on nether gold can allow you to smelt the block directly into an ingot. Using Fortune 3 on nether gold yields 8.8 nuggets on average which is slightly less than an ingot. TLDR use Silk over Fortune on nether gold
I love using the bed method in the nether for opening up big spaces for ancient debris cuz it's way cheaper than TNT. (in case people don't know, placing a bed in the nether explodes the bed like tnt so make sure you place a few blocks in front of you, like 5, and stand back before the bed explodes).
I am going to add something in silk touch defense that it is a must have. You should have two picks both diamond or netherite. Silk touch every ore block you mine. Let’s say you go mining and come across 3 stacks of gold ore, 2 stacks of diamonds ore, and 6 stacks of red stone ore. This all adds up to 11 slots of inventory vs possibly 2x or 3x in broken version of it. Then simply fortune break everything back at base. You can essentially come back with 2x or 3x the amount of ore every single mining session
But is that really worth the time it takes to replace and remine all the ore blocks ? You could be spending that time already smelting or crafting with the stuff that’s already ready with just Fortune.
the best way to mine netherite is actually not included in the video. Similar to the best diamond method, it's better to mine for ancient debris in lava lakes, using a fire resistance potion, and the composter x-ray glitch, as netherite is very commonly exposed at the bottom of lava lakes. All you have to do is set up the hopper x-ray glitch next to the lava lake at the same y-level the lava ends, and look for any debris you can see. Then drink a fire resistance potion and use either enderpearls or an Elytra to get over to the place you saw the ancient debris, mine it, and repeat the process. The method is EXTREMELY dangerous, and pretty expensive, as it takes a decent amount of gold to get the potions from piglin bartering (unless you have a brewing stand oc) but is worth the yield of approximately 6 debris per minute (almost 4 times faster than the top method described in this video). Alternatively, if you don't consider it cheating, you could use a resource pack to make the lava clear, and another resource pack to make ancient debris more visible (ex. making it either blue, or white) and forgo the composter x-ray glitch to increase the rate to about 13 debris per min.
@@TheAetherGamerthis is not x ray. You are doing the same underwater caves technique that is used for diamonds, but instead of water, its lava. And the texture pack just makes the ancient debris stand out more so you don't accidentally miss it. But maybe the composer glitch might be considered cheating since it's a GLITCH. Keep in mind I never tried it because I will always just dig in a straight line for 1000000000 blocks. Idk why I even watched the video to the end, I already have full netherite.
@@HiHi-ve7qj You're comparing apples and oranges here. You can see through water in vanilla very easily, which makes the underwater cave technique legit. In this case though, you are using either a glitch or *external* help (resource pack) to see through lava. There's a whole reason why your vision under lava is obscured in vanilla, and you can't see anything, even with night vision. It's because the developers intend for it to be that way, probably because of this method. Bypassing that can definitely be considered a form of cheating.
@@TheAetherGamer yeah fair enough, but there are many exploits that are not intended game features that are commonly used in many farms, so it really depends on the line that you want to draw in the sand. Personally, if I have a super efficient portal iron farm, I don't consider it cheating, even if the developers certainly didn't anticipate that specific usage. I also extend this towards the method I mentioned, although it is pushing it a little bit (that being the composter glitch, not the texture pack. I could see how people would consider that cheating). Minecraft is a game where unintentional features/glitches are part of the charm of the game. It's also important to note that I'm sure Mojang is aware of the composter glitch, and to my knowledge, they haven't patched it, so you could make an argument for it being an intended feature, just not initially, such as rail, sand, string, tnt, and carpet duping machines.
