    Arguably the best o line of all time. They don't get mentioned with the greats, but they should. The zone blocking was on another level.

    T.D. was the best player in NFL, with one of the best Oline ever and a hell.of a lead Blocker with Howard Griffith....awesome teamwork.

    • @user-so5mr8sm6z
      @user-so5mr8sm6z 5 месяцев назад

      He didn’t need Howard Griffith, TD was already first team all pro in 1996 without him. They should’ve won Super Bowl that year if coach used him correctly against Jacksonville.

    Arguably the greatest RB season in NFL history if you also take into account team success as far as the Broncos going on to win the SB. From 96-98 there was only 1 RB that was better, and that was Barry.

      @lucashenderson2775 3 года назад +5

      Shannon Sharpe said on TD's Football Life that had Shanahan not pulled him in the 2nd halves of games so much because they ran up such huge leads (understandable), he would've passed Eric Dickerson.

    • @dfgccgggff7963
      @dfgccgggff7963 2 года назад +1

      Lucas Henderson he essentially only played 14 games because he missed 8 halves, so he rushed for 2k in 14 games in my mind

      Always underrated and somewhat forgotten sadly; he was the best back in the NFL in the late 90s; better than Smith, better than Sanders. Only Riggins compared with him in the playoffs

      @@lucashenderson2775 Absolute facts! The Broncos during their back to back championship runs commonly built up a lead that the regulars were often pulled before the 4th quarters.
      TD's stats are obscured by the team's dominance during their championship runs.

    2:02 shannon sharpe is an underrated blocker, it may look like he just fell over but his fall allowed that tackle to move up field and block a safety which really broke the play open.

    Greatest season for a running back ever. His total running yardage including the playoffs is a nfl record. Cap that off with a nfl mvp and Super Bowl winner. I forgot to mention, the second player on that list is also Terrell Davis in 1997. 2,476-1998. 2,331-1997. Super Bowl mvp in 1997. He’s literally in the hall of fame because of those two years.

    This was the team that I truly felt would go undefeated. They just beat KC and any challenge was over. Betting-wise you expect a letdown against the Giants after a huge divisional victory (the point spread was over 10 if I recall). However, to lose outright was stunning.

    TD may go down as the greatest pitch, zone blocking scheme running back in history. His innate ability to read the defense and make his 'cut' from 3+ yards from behind scrimmage was 2nd to none.

    The only running back to have 21 touchdowns and 2,008 yards in a single season. No one comes close! And TD had 7 100+ rushing yards along side Emmitt Smith in a single game. Only Emmitt was in 17 playoff games to Terrell's 8. Terrell Davis is the second best rb in pro football history. Second only to Jim Brown in my opinion. 🏈 But TD accomplished much more than Jim Brown! In that regard, Jim Brown is a distant second to TD.

    Think about that he was sat out for 8 quarters which is 2 games. He could easily beaten Eric Dickerson's season rushing record, but they kept him out. Sadly the next season the ACL tear that changed his career.

    Davis was overworked. Shanahan would be running him in the 4th, ahead by 28 and 2:09 on the clock. His career would have lasted longer if not for bad coaching.

    T.D. literally scored 2 long ass runs for a 2 touchdowns within 1 minutes and 45ish seconds in the 1st quarter game clock (not sure how much real time passed in real life though, you know like commercial breaks after touchdowns gimmick) in this video. Lmfao. Damn...and score another the same game, I think? If I saw that correctly.
