Apgar Village in Glacier National Park is a great place to launch your Glacier National Park travels. Apgar Village is the place to go to rent Kayaks, Bikes, Canoes, and Paddle Boards. Apgar Village offers a few places to eat a tasty meal followed up by an ice cream.
We went to Apgar Village in Glacier National Park and rented a Kayak to paddle around the shores of Lake McDonald. When we finished our trip we went to Eddys for lunch, walked around the shops and then finished our afternoon with Ice Cream. Make sure when you visit Glacier National Park you make some time for a stop at Apgar Village.
If you do want to rent a Kayak or Bike, I recommend getting a reservation. Without one the wait can take a while.

Had them for years when we lived in New Hampshire and loved them. We rent now rather than own, less stuff to travel with.

Hello from Kalispell Montana. Just watched your Apgar Village video. My wife and I got married at the Ampitheater on MacDonald Lake in 2003. Still live just a few miles away. Every year I’m blown away by how busy the park has gotten in my lifetime.
Hello from Columbia Falls Montana. It's been our first stop in our new life and it has been a great place. We will definitely be coming back in a few years to enjoy the parts of the park that were closed this year. Simply amazing here.
Do you need to rent kayaks or can you just bring your own and avoid the whole reservation thing? Thinking about a roadtrip soon and wondering if I should haul my own yaks up there. So many gorgeous lakes.
You can bring your own but there is an inspection process you have to go through. As soon as you enter Glacier you will see a sign directing you to the inspection station. Same thing for each county i believe. We have learned a local sporting goods store Sportsmans Skihause rentS them for 30 to 40 dollars for a 24 hour period.
