Flysurfer hybrid 7,5m² vs Ozone hyperlink 12m² : power difference in light wind

Started with the flysurfer hybrid 7,5m², unfortunately the wind dropped and I had to take my session saver out: the Ozone hyperlink 12m².
The power difference is huge.
wind 7-9 kn at start, dropped even more at the end.

My 8 meter peak would have me on Foil in 7 to 9 knots,85kg floaty board front foot hook all helps.

I have had peaks for 2 seasons. The lowend from the peak is much better than from the hybrid. My peak 5m2 I needed 11-12 kn. My hybrid 5,5 I need 14-15 kn. But peak is not safe in cold water environment with the tricky restart.

@@yannickver Big difference in power there,yes peaks dodgy relaunch that's why I like a board with more volume at least I can paddle in when problems happen.

Not a fair comparison- between a 7.5 and 12 m kite of course the extra 3m will give you more power.

You probably could have gotten up on the hybrid if you aggressively looped it about 3 times back to back.

aggressively and hybrid to not fit in the same sentence ;-). the hybrid is not a peak or a ram air kite... it's slower en less power in the power strokes.
For my hybrid 7,5 I need 10-11kn to get on the foil. I'm 87kg dry.
