Namaskar Jason. I m a born Hindu and did not care about the principle of sanatan dharma much and did nothing more than only worshipping diety for worldly pleasure. But as I am maturing Iam slowly realising what eastern philosophy is. I am presently in path of practicing spiritual meditation and truly relate to your understanding of eastern spiritualism. I can clearly see that you are on a higher level to spiritual consciousness. I believe with this amount of clarity of mind, if you meditate and realise yourself, you will be enlighten very soon. You truely are one of my aspiration. And I believe you will help many people of west to truely be a seeker and be enlighten and be oneness with the ultimate to find eternal bliss. Also to know who they are (atma), to look beyond the body, and not to only look outward in the world of duality, in search of temporary happiness and pleasure. Feel pity how abrahamic philosophy have not allowed them know the cosmic energy and who we as conscious being are. Please give them various technique of self realisation, such as (spiritual meditation) which may help in the process of enlightment.I feel you as the right soul to show the way to the west. Om shanti shanti shantihi.🙏🏻🙏🏻

I think the abrahamic religions are given in and for Kali yuga, when the human consciousness is at the lowest level. Commands and instructions for people deep in Maya.
However, there were some scholars and teachers who were connecting the abrahamic god with Brahman. For instance sufi scholars like Rumi or Al Arabi. When you read their teachings you understand that God is everything and in everyone and we are drops in an endless ocean, where drop is of the same content as the ocean.

It’s something life changing to realize non duality! When we see that following with our own effort is futile, that’s when a big picture is shown to us. It was a faith problem all along.
Heaven and Hell are states of Mind.
The “kingdom of heaven “is within.
Try living w/o knowing you are one with The Unlimited Source, it is separation from the Creator that is hell and there is much “weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
Living with the remembering is heaven. Both heaven and hell are found right here in this life. Mindset determines everything, it’s so true!
There is only Brahma-Sri Ramana Maharshi’s final truth.
If you understand the bible intuitively it’s mostly correct. It’s not literal, Every religion has a specific perspective of the same thing.
    Nothing is separate. Nothing.

Thankyou so much for that delivery. I could feel that information comming from an opened heart and it touched tge deepest parts of mine :) i found that
Islam being the most evolved Abrahamic religion have filled in most of pieces of the puzzle missing from the 2 premature Abrahamic faiths.
The concepts you described are very similar to those at its core starting from
ArRahman the All giving and sustaining lord.
The word Islam itself, which means surrender, let go of control.
Its Slogan ‘La Ila ha illa Allah’ literally means nothing exists except Allah which is the ultimate One unNamable reality.
Tauheed is the core of islam which means everything is one with Rahman and duality leads to doom.
Nafs is the false sense of i which we need to overcome.
Fitrah is the spirit of Rahman within us and all creation.
Tajassum al Aamaal literally means our deeds are creating Karmas we will face in Barzakh, which is our upcoming life after that.
Qiyamah is when all souls unite back with its source and all false illusion perishes.

Informative as always. I watched the video you recommended. It remembered me of a similar tale about Lao tzu and also an intellectual and charming „ gangster“ and a family member of the gangster pled for help from Lao Tzu or something like that. Obviously the premise was different than the one that you recommended to me with the alleged roles we are stuck to and should act accordingly cause the system wants us to. That’s at least how I understood it. Tho my I could go into deeper context and understanding about the lecture, but I’m not here to write an essay. That’s ur „job“, just in the form of a video tho.

    • @JasonGregoryAuthor
      @JasonGregoryAuthor  4 года назад

I'm stoked you enjoyed that video my friend. The premise of that video has nothing to do with the system, but more so to do with the health and sanity of the individual. A role is played, one needs to know they are playing a role to ultimately distance oneself from it to come into harmony with our true nature.

since we are asking questions, there are many thematic and heroic narratives that evolve from each other and influence each other over the millennia. I have always seen obvious thematic rhymes between Jesus and Socrates. this makes sense for the fact that the area of Jesus was Hellenistic. voluntarily died for a higher purpose etc. but there are rhymes and evolutions between the Sumer and old testament. and Zoroastrianism and the new "One big vengeful God" of the old testament and Judeo/christian psychology of God. Egyptian god Osiris and Jesus.
And then you have the many gods of Greece that make up a kind of alphabet of gods and stories, as well as archaic compendium of myth through the ages and the free time that was offered to some of the more dominant empires of the more recent age of the written word, state and elite art and architecture. but my question is about the parallels, rhymes, familiar themes and similar narratives between the old Vedic stories and Hinduism with any of the central asian or asia minor/mediteranian myths and religious stories?
I was fascinated by the study and lectures of Joe Campbell and I love to look at the connections of the different civilizations, their historical timelines, the themes, narratives and symbols as a kind of evolution time table or a family tree.

Nameste Jason I have a question. Is there a difference between Hinduism's and Taoist approach to experiencing Self realization? I have noticed so much similarities between Hinduism, Buddhism and Taoism.

    Jason
You talked briefly about the difference between East & West theology
My question 🙋🏻‍♀️ is WHY do you think or What factors contributed to the West creating or portraying a Punishing God outside of us that judges and condemns ?
( As I was taught as a child by the Catholic Church ⛪️ )
I am looking for an answer besides the obvious Power, Control of the masses, Greed , etc
You said that The God of the East is not the same as the God of the West
Does the Dao and Brahman teach
    Love, Compassion, Kindness ?
I arrived to thinking that Dao, Krishna, Prophet Mohammad, Buddha and Jesus The Christ were essentially the same
and all had the same message of LOVE ? Can you explain please
    🙏📐📐📐💗

At different levels of physical and psychological and even societal development and growth, different rules, dos and don'ts, and prescribed/ preferred behaviour apply. A sapling growing to become a tree, needs a barrier/ fence for its protection from cattle and goats, so that it can grow into a strong and sturdy tree. After maturing as a well grown tree, there is no protection of a fence needed, and the tree can be fed on by many cattle, without danger to its growth and existence, and further the tree even liberally and copiously produces fruits to feed other birds, animals and humans, and all thrive in harmony.
So also in early stages of personal and societal development, religious dos and don'ts are the prescription to enable and nurture your growth, and the fear of an angry or punishing God, serves like the fence to the sapling when it starts growing.
But just like the fence has a purpose and is useful only for a short period of growth, so also limited is the use of the principle of a Fearful God and being God Fearing.
Further personal psychological and intellectual and behavioral growth on the path of spirituality, leads one to see God in Action and underlying Every thing and Being, sustaining the Universe and its Harmony. The Fear of God, can then transform/ transcend to Love of God, and obeying his rules as an expression of that Love.
At any time and in every age, there will be in Society myriad people with myriad levels of psychological/spiritual understanding and development. Some will always be there who are at the level needing protective fencing and guidance facilitated by starting with Fear of God. Others will be at various higher stages of development, and would be moving towards God Loving. One in a billion will be so highly experienced and evolved to see God in All and even reach the realisation of Brahman, I am the All.
The issue with Abrahamic religions, is they are stuck at the level of the Fencing for the Sapling, though quite a few Christian Mystics did progress to stage of God Loving or even God Becoming. But their Realised Truths did not get organised acceptance and propagation by the Organised Church/Ulema, who are eager to Control and Govern through Fear element.

I totally agree with the Brahman and Dao part. I personally believe the Abrahamic understanding of God is focused on worship of the personal manifestation of Brahman which the Hindus call Ishvara. You touched on Ishvara for a second, but I don't see why you wouldn't agree that Ishvara and the God of Abraham are not the same?
I am all for Advaita Vedanta and understanding the ultimate reality, but I also believe that Bhakti, worship of Ishvara or the God of Abraham is still a path to realizing the ultimate reality which is beyond the personal manifestation.
I think the idea of the Abrahamic God governing the world through His Will is just a way to explain the way of the Dao.
Do Hindus believe that Ishvara is at the same level as the Atman? I had not heard that before. I had thought that the Ishvara was the recognizable aspect of Brahman that we can worship through Bhakti in order to realize Brahman. But that Ishvara is also Brahman but not necessarily Atman.
Maybe some further explanation on the relationship between the Atman, Ishvara, and Brahman would be helpful as well as a response to the question is the God of Abraham the same as Ishvara?
    Thanks so much!
    Shanti Shanti Shanti!

The God of Abraham although possessing similarity with ishvara is not the end goal of Hinduism and even then can you why not just believe in the god vishu or Shiva which embodies ishvara

was waiting for this video for a while. Abraham, sounds like Abrahman, which can be interpreted as A- (the contraction of AN = Non) and Brahman, resulting in we are not Brahman, we are separated. (parody explanation but in a way makes sense ... ) Found that one letting go and accepting the Tao is the most simple thing that we can understand, but the most difficult to sustain, it's a long way, we just need to keep going.

It's not clear who is the doer of actions. Are we imprinted with the code(vasanas) and we live a predestined path from birth to death OR is Brahman the inner controller in the form of mind that controls the body. Please share your knowledge.

What is the purpose or point of the "material world" in this view? This philosophy seems to be saying that we mistake our body-mind complex as our identity due to ignorance. If our true identity is Brahman yet we mistakenly identify with a body-mind complex, does this mean that Brahman has fallen into ignorance?

The water analogy is a bit confused, ‘the rivers power becomes your power’. No that is not Classical Chinese thinking.
In terms of water it’s more like taking a handful of water out of the river as your own water but realising you’ve now lost the connection to the whole, the separate handful of water is no longer the river. The power or virtue is realised by our bowing before the river as we offer the water back with grace and humility, only that deep treasuring allows us to intuitively sense that which cannot be held. It’s more like that on the whole.

Hello I'm new to this channels. I loved content and I'm subscribing ❤️ I have few things to says,
    1. I think saying brahman is eternal which existed before time and will exist after time will be an understatement because ..by saying this we are first accepting time..but for brahman time is non-existent.
    2. Also I have a little doubt that how maya veils brahman. Beacuse if brahman alone exists then how maya can exists and covers it?
    Dhanyavad 🙏❤️
