Woops one of the ball tracers at the beginning when I say I pulled it went right instead. I swear one of these days I'm going to just build a better shot tracer app for everyone in the golf world :)
Pass along the message to Chris that getting these lessons for free through your channel is awesome and completely appreciated. My consistency with my irons has improved dramatically from watching these lessons. I love the dirty ankle tip from Nicklaus he passed on and it has been my only swing thought with my irons the last couple times I've played. That tip has got me consistently compressing the ball with irons. Again pass along my thanks to Chris for allowing everyone to get in on his teaching for free. What an awesome gift to golfers
Well done. Real success is converting information into understanding, understanding into feelings and finally feelings into non-conscious actions. That journey is a lifelong pursuit. Good luck.
Being a golfer who has only been playing for about 4 years, this was an "eye opening" video for me. I have a lot of the same issues that you have throughout your series and the video's have definitely helped me gradually improve. Keep up the good work!
Chris is a GOAT. It hit home when he told you about your knee and hip flex and turn. I was straightening my front ( left handed golfer) leg to get the hip up and back. I had a tough time getting consistent. Now I can be athletic and keep my front knee as he said , and still get my hip back and up. This is what I have been working on, and this really made sense for me. Glad your doing this Vlog series. Keep it up! Well done.
Jerome, you're doing great! I would love to see you play 9 holes with Chris soon. Keep up the great work...the swing is looking very good. Great job Chris!
swing is looking great. the fact you do not come outside to in means youre avoiding a mistake 90 percent of amateur golfers probably have. that swing plane looks money inside to out. great job!
great job Jerome. I think there are a lot of seasoned golfers out there watching your channel and thinking to themselves... 'Hmm...So that's what I've been doing wrong all this time!' Fantastic channel for beginner golfers too. The exercise workout vids bring a new dimension to the channel most/maybe all other golf channels miss.
Keep it up! Your swing looks technically so good not just for a beginner but for anyone. This is an awesome foundational base to build the skill of golfing on. Coming from a basketball analogy, it’s like you have a silky technical jumper and just need time to develop the skill of hitting 3’s through time and reps.
Really great to see how far you've come. Just be careful about thinking you've figured something out. I've had a lot of those moments and hear it from others too. Keep writing down the little keys that help you the most or you might forget when things go wrong on the course.
Oh man that is Woody's just above Mission Valley off of the 15. I use to go there all the time when I lived in SD and always use to hit on that part that is above the bottom hitting bays, right where you are. Boy do I miss it there. I'm a 6 and talked w/ this SAME coach. I told him I wanted to try and get down to a 2 or better. We talked for a bit, he gave me his card but I never got a lesson. He looks like a really good coach. I have to move back there one day. I miss it.
Was trying to find an instructor in San Diego and realized where this was… I think I found my new coach lol. Thanks for the content man! Struggle with a lot of the same things
If I could give you one piece of advice, I've been playing golf for a long time. Do not fall into the trap of getting too technical. I use to play w/ this guy who was a + 2 but he sadly passed away. He told me that the most important thing is to nail everything BEFORE you hit the ball. So many problems in golf w/ us weekend warriors happen BEFORE we hit the ball, in other words nail your grip, posture and the big one is alignment. Bad alignment can cause so many issues! Good luck, you do a lot of good things in your swing.
Is there somewhere we can get a live handicap from graph over time, from you? Or any handicap stats, which can give us an idea of how you're improving over time, please?
And definitely write down your feelings and thoughts behind the breakthrough and what your swing feels like to you. Eventually you'll just play lots golf and will sometimes slip out of your game. It happens to everyone. It's great to look back on old videos or thoughts to remind yourself of what you need to think in order to swing best.
Practise without gloves, helps you to max swing at 75-80%. Stick with Chris as he has what it takes to keep you on straight path to being a good ball striker
Took me about a year to figure all this out on my own. I'm probably where you're at Jerome. Danny Maude and then JChownGolf YT helped me put it together.
The downhill lie example was genius. It’s great that someone can show you. But when coach basically, in one example, made you understand WHY. I bet his new hourly is going to $300
Just broke 100 (95 ) on my comeback trail after giving up about 25 years ago , I’ve achieved this milestone mainly due to the lessons you’ve been taking on here , thanks dude 👍
I don't know who that previous coach was, but he was not good. Smeal is the coach for you no doubt, he knows what he is doing with incremental changes.
bro said "18 hole field" 🤣 he is so inconsistent any early score can just be wrapped up to over 100. His first sign of getting things together on a course will be breaking 100. That's still +30 to +28 on most courses. His money is well spent on the lesson and not green fees right now for his ultimate goal of becoming scratch. Keep doing your thing Jerome, making big strides
Get to the driver so I can shoot my age (81). I just don't know how much more time the good Lord is going to give me before He calls me home. Thanks. Chris, you are a wonderful coach. And Jerome is so much better than he understands. Fun to watch and helping a lot. Thanks?
On impact position you are still flipping and saving the shot...the reason ? Teachers elusive on how to really release....this is where you have to dig....All the rest is just wrestling the club
Hitting balls of a practice rug is very different than on the field, you should start going to actually play and on a big course, not the ones you were going before
Your hands are what operate the golf club. No other part of you even touches the golf club. When does the "HOF" coach teach you how to operate your hands? Oh, right. They never taught him that in golf teacher school. Maybe that's why nobody who takes golf lessons gets better at golf.
Woops one of the ball tracers at the beginning when I say I pulled it went right instead. I swear one of these days I'm going to just build a better shot tracer app for everyone in the golf world :)
What app do you use
Please build a better shot tracer app. 😂
This coach is fantastic
the best! If you ever want to check him out, info on him will always be in the description and also has online lessons !
I agree!

Your Coach is working hard and you are working hard to perfection.
Well done. Real success is converting information into understanding, understanding into feelings and finally feelings into non-conscious actions. That journey is a lifelong pursuit. Good luck.

Can't wait to see him teach you short game techniques! Thank you for sharing your journey with us!
I’m so waiting for that part.

Great swing session with Chris. You’re definitely making strides. Can’t wait to see you apply the swing on the golf course. Keep grinding, Jerome!

Good teacher with a phlegmatic attitude.
Dude, your swing is really coming into form. You're in very good hands!

It's amazing how the right leg can make such a difference on the backswing.
Teacher and student were great, and I learned why I was trying to get "on plane".
Need to come to SD and get some lessons from this coach

Tell Chris I said hi! His Info are in the details :)
good job Jerome, it looks fantastic
You are really coming along. Great stuff.
Things are really coming together for you. When are you getting back on the course? Need to see how this stuff applies to an actual round.
good stuff from Chris. keep grindin.
Excellent lesson!!❤😊
I'm definitely an overthinker, your journey is very constructive to watch. Thank you.
Nice progress. It's funny, I practice at the same 3 ranges you do. I've only seen you out on the range a few times so far.
Great series. What is your background athletically and why are you doing this?
Thanks again, another awesome one!!!
Coach, are you ever in Denver? Youve done an amaziing job with this kid. Jerome, Im 62, that's why I called you a kid, lol. Keep up the good work.
He has online lessons as well! Check out his info in the description if you ever wanted to reach out to him directly :)
I love these. I have a very similar swing to you and am the same age and height so it feels like these videos are made for me lol

Coach is great. You are focusing going 40 ft on 4 things instead of spinning your wheels going 4 inches on 40 things. Great stuff
Did you find that the ankle roll kept you swinging more from the inside?
Nice, good lesson!
Nice, getting better 👍
Styling bro! The swing is looking great.
is Chris close to san diego ? would love to get a lesson and i come out usually for a week in september
Yes he is based on San Diego. Check out his info in the description. Say I say hi!
This is stadium golf off the 15
Is there somewhere we can get a live handicap from graph over time, from you? Or any handicap stats, which can give us an idea of how you're improving over time, please?
You’re swing is looking nice my friend
love those light bulb moments!
great content
Great video again!
If you have ever seen Ben Hogan swing, he starts the back swing with his right bent and moves to his inseam.
very interesting

You have a long way to go bro! Keep at i
Do you pay for all of your lessons or do you get these coaches to do free social media promo or something
LOL, 17:42 ouch, I'd be in surgery if I bent my leg like that..
How much does it cost for this coach? He is amazing with you!
Practise without gloves, helps you to max swing at 75-80%. Stick with Chris as he has what it takes to keep you on straight path to being a good ball striker

Let’s goooo! A big part of this channel is for all of us to break our goals!!
That ankle move sounds so dangerous, but I wish I know how to do it
Peep the Rangers top on the camera man 2:01 love that.
I don't know who that previous coach was, but he was not good. Smeal is the coach for you no doubt, he knows what he is doing with incremental changes.
Rolling (thanks Jack) is not the same as a slide to the left!
3 months into it, still no base score on a real 18 hole field
A long journey. Slow and steady. Will be out there soon enough :)
@@JeromeRufin I understand, but it would've be cool to see how do you score on a real field before having lots and lots of classes....

@@swoldierzhg English is my second language.... Ok I guess we are going go see him play a course until he has hundred of classes lol
That question mark is a mistake, not some kind of sarcastic nonsense.

Chris seems like a nice guy but I got more value out of 5 minutes of Mike's coaching than all of Chris' coaching combined

Are you aware that every coach/pro has a differnt idea of how to swing a club? Coaches/Pros are like snowflakes; no two are the same.
Cash money.
