They never said? So basically, this couple misplaces an infant in an alley by a trashbin, and doesn't air any news reports about a missing child for 10 years. This other fella finds her and just keeps her, And nobody thinks that's strange? Sure they had a good relationship.. but that's what you'd say anyways in a completely made up story. There is no way in the world this ever happened over the last century. This kind of thing *could* happen in the 19th century.. so maybe if it were true it would have happened then. But that's the only way...
