@@kindashabby It's like we blinked then Christmas was suddenly here and quickly gone. Now we're embarking on a New Year! I'm not one to make New Year's resolutions but just try to be a little better than last year. I strive to be kind to others and treat them as I would like to be treated. The first week of the new year I'm having dental work done which will alter my diet for a couple of weeks. The second week of the new year takes me to my 6 month check up with my primary doctor. I find that the older we get, the more we go to doctors. It's sad but true but I managed to reduce the number of doctor visits last year. ☺️ The biggest problem I'm having currently is a head cold. Living in Texas offers a challenge when it comes to weather. We had nice weather earlier in December, reaching 70's and 80's for a week. Then a cold front came in and one night got down to 17°. Then our highs were up to the 40's and 50's for that week. Yesterday I changed clothes 3 times because the temperature kept rising. I finally ended up in shorts and flip-flops since it had gotten so warm. The day before I was wearing a coat and gloves! But our weather changes so drastically and I've been rotating 4 jackets and coats! I refer to Texas as the Bipolar State because of it's mood swings of weather! I'm constantly asking Alexa or Google the current temperature before I walk out the door. I keep a jacket and gloves in my car all year long! But I guess the point I was making is the weather is the cause of my cold. 🤧 If the weather could stay the same for more than 5 days, we might have a chance to stay healthy. 😉 We seldom have snow in Texas but last year and the year before we had an entire week of snow in January. Both times it happened during the second week of January and most of the state shut down. We're not equipped to handle a week of snow! It's hard to imagine we could have snow in a couple of weeks when it's going to be in the 70's today! 😳 And no one expects to be wearing shorts in the last week of December! 😋 Thanks for the warm wishes Becky, my sister and I appreciate your prayers! 😍 I watch her progressing then she suddenly has a relapse. I'm taking her to physical therapy twice a week and it seems to be helping a lot! But we just take one day at a time. She has an area where she makes beautiful cards but she hasn't been doing that much lately. When I see her in that area, I know she's feeling better! Sorry to ramble on so much but it's early in the morning and I'm letting her sleep. She had a bad night and was in so much pain so I sat with her until she went back to bed. I try to comfort her but I often feel helpless. So I do what I can and I talk about things that make her laugh. Sometimes laughter is the best medicine! The sun is coming up and it looks like another beautiful day! I’ve been making the book page come wreath ornaments for years. I use a spray glitter blast to spray them when they are completed and they are so sparkly on the tree. I loved the poinsettias just beautiful.
I love the crafts and also I like the organization of the embellishments with cleaver use of canning supplies which are readily available and look great for safe storage to keep delicate accessories nice
