Seen a lot of videos showing how unreliable these yank tanks are. Not just Chev...but I'll guess you'll keep justifying what a great truck it is after all the $$$ you wasted on it. Sort of like dumb Grenadier owners.
The beginning of this video was so positive, so nice to see you all in a cheerful mood. And then... oh guys, I feel with you. Hoping it is fixed in the meantime.
The joys of being the owner a walkinshaw converted vehicle! I think a lot of issues people are experiencing are related to components that have been relocated due to the right hand conversion. Hopefully you start to get a decent run from that vehicle moving forward. When they are running without issue they are a pleasure to tow with. We had a axle failure on our caravan in the NT which grounded us for over 3 weeks but once it was all sorted it became a memory of the past.
You know we’ve got a 200 series & our heart says wow those US trucks are nice but this is the type of thing that keeps us in our 200. Yeah I know anything mechanical can have issues but it’s more the time off the road I can’t accept, anyway hope you guys have a better run in the future, & your video content is top notch.
Our hearts go out to you guys. Hope you get it sorted soon. Your Chevy isn't the 1st vehicle on the back of a tow truck. People seem forget this & stop blaming American vehicles. We've experienced a few lemons & 1 from new which wasn't American. Sometimes you feel like the Universe is against you but at the end of the day, you're all still together & safe. Stay positive & safe travels from Albany WA 🥰
Sorry to see you are having troubles. I see everybody’s point made so far and some facts are bogus 😂😂😂 Hope you get sorted and it gets fixed properly. The US utes and trucks unfortunately have to carve their way through OZ just like all the other brands have. Hang in there it will get better. My tow vehicle is also a US truck I knew what the possibilities could be but hope to have a clean run. Love your videos Cheers Johnny&Rene
G'day, guys ,you have been having a really rough time lately. The problem with U.S. trucks converted to RHD a major job done in Oz. Do the trucks still have factory warranty? I have heard the company who does the conversion has to cover the warranty ?No matter what, they try to tell you how comprehensive the spare parts are, how many dealerships are there Australia and what level of parts do the stock? ,image if u were really remote? This shouldn't be costing you guys a bean. A LC 200 with a Jmacx rear axle would be more reliable ,with Toyota dealers & spare parts in every second town. Keep your chins up, safe travels
Hi guys, you two must have really pissed someone of along the line. Bad luck seems to follow you along, but what can you say yes it could happen to anyone but it’s you again. Well good luck and hope your luck changes for the better you deserve it.🙏🙏😤 Jon🇦🇺
I cannot believe the 16 day time frame. That seems a bit ridiculous Wishing you all the best Hopefully this gets resolved quicker Thank you for sharing
I can see why you guys were shattered when your 200 was written off. These Chevs remind me of the Holden Camira, although they didnt take 16 days to look at. Old mate drove off with yah hitch. Good luck guys
We sympathise with you and your family this appears to be an example of shocking customer service and can't see any reason why it would take so long to look at your vehicle and could be a simple fix. Parts are still yet to be ordered from the states. We can't see any excuse in the delay. From Mark
We wish, we'd fix it ourselves if it didn't void our warranty if anything serious were wrong or to go wrong after the fact, if you want to do that with your $170,000 car, go right ahead!
That’s so bloody annoying. Our 1500 Ram just stopped in the middle of the road in western Queensland. After 4 hours a tow truck carried us the Mount Isa where we waited 6 weeks to have an electrical problem in the fuel pump sorted. Very frustrating. We feel for you guys hope it gets sorted quickly.
Sorry mate, you are way too forgiving, for a new vehicle that expensive it should perform ‘reliably’. I know you are at the behest of the GMSV and hindsight is a great thing, 2500 diesel 😉? . I looked at the Silverado read the reviews and forums and didn’t give me that warm glow, for the v8. I then looked at the diesel but I wanted the new interior.I appreciate financial challenges in making decisions of such a magnitude.. I know that new cars can have issues but it’s not the first of the model in the line. I have a 23/2500 ram 6.7 Cummins 45000kms🍺best decision I made.
Not here to rub salt in the wound I feel so sorry for you guys twice been stranded in a new vehicle. I have never been a cruiser man couldn't understand there high resale value with so Many kms but now we're looking into tow vehicles with 3.5 ton actual towing capacity and seeing the problems our friends and other people having with american trucks looks like a option. I hope you get it looked at under that time frame surely
Don't rush and push hard for a good deal. It's a buyer's market at the moment. Not many cars moving.. if ya have money ready to go you will get a good deal on a 2nd hand 200
Oh my God. Guys 😤 Can you guys take a trick 🤬 This is so upsetting to see after everything that's gone on over the last 12 months especially 😢 I'm so sorry this has happened Surely the Showground can use compassionate grounds to extend your stay? It's a very sad society we live if not and should be publicly shamed if not.
You guys certainly are not having a great run - 200 written off, now Chevy breaking down with water in petrol which can happen to anyone and now this… Need to be pretty resiliant! Trade in both on a custom SLRV or OKA - 🤦♂️
It's been a pretty rough 12 months! We'll either get there, or give up haha The travel life is getting very mentally demanding that's for sure! That'd be great when the girls move out haha
Oo no 😢 your driving over a country that was helped built by landcuisers 😇 yanky stuff and Chinese stuff have only been here a short time , thats why im still sticking with my old faithful girl , i hope things get better 4 ya 🙏 gee how ya going to go when it runs out off warranty , im not trying to bag ya im trying to talk myself out off buying one and updating which bloody scares me , i personally know a guy that bought a new chev and the motor crapped its self luckily under warranty but yer not good , needed a new motor , so chev don't want to stock spare parts in Australia
It’s not just a Chevy thing, it’s a new car thing and yanky stuff (GM) has been here over 50 years mate, remember holden? Plenty of cruiser issues too when they went to the v8🤷♂️! Modern vehicles
Your tow vehicle makes my Range Rover look reliable.
Hahaha oh I bet! Trade?
My LR disco4 is. Did the lap no issues. Like any car, look after it

Hi guys don't feel to bad, my son inlaw has a Ram 1500, was off the road for 4 months and not even 1 year old .
Holy crap! Not ideal!
Hope you get it sorted out; I don't like seeing this happen to anyone, your attitude is great, don't think I would be as calm
Thank you, yeah it's not great but we'll get there! Only upwards from here right?

Haha I know right, it really seems that way!
We definitely wouldn’t wish this upon anyone else! Thank you, we appreciate it!
I cannot believe the 16 day time frame. That seems a bit ridiculous Wishing you all the best Hopefully this gets resolved quicker Thank you for sharing
I know! A painful wait! Thank you very much!
I can see why you guys were shattered when your 200 was written off.

Old mate drove off with yah hitch.
Good luck guys
Omg you’s have had some bad bloody luck with cars 😖🤦♀️
Hope it all gets better from now on 💕👍🏽
It's getting very painful! Things will surely only be up from here! Cheers!
Oh no it is a shame you are having problems with the new car, hope you get it sorted faster this time
Yes it’s not great considering it hasn’t even done 20,000kms. Thank you! Cheers!
You guy's must have runover a Black Cat with whats going on with your truck. Here's hoping thing improve. Thinking of You Guy's. Stay Safe.
hahaha we absolutely must have! Yes let's hope it improves!
Cheers, thank you!

Thank you! Yes not the best customer service, hopefully they get better for every other customers's sake!
Friends had the new Chevy 2 or 3 years ago they had lots of trouble sold it and got the RAM
oh no, that's not great to hear!
Hang in there guys such a shitty fn year you have had. So sorry you are going thru this again 😢
We sure will, thank you!
Doesnt look that serious, cant you take it to a local mechanic and just pay for the repair and save the drama ?
We wish, we'd fix it ourselves if it didn't void our warranty if anything serious were wrong or to go wrong after the fact, if you want to do that with your $170,000 car, go right ahead!

Wow. Mt Isa. Stay safe around there. Thanks for reaching out. Completely understand the frustration we both share.
Assuming it gets sorted , how do you even trust the truck going forward? Good luck with it all, hope it all works out for you
Yeah we know, it's a risk we're not sure we want to take moving forward. We'll see. Cheers!

Sorry to hear about your tow vehicle
Thank you!
The showgrounds are good IMO. You must know this by now.
They’re fine. Just the 7 day limit is a pain.
Sorry about the breakdown. Hope it gets resolved soon. 🤞
Thank you!
Is it fixed yet? I bet you miss travelling without issues. Bring back old time
Sounds like the cheves have the same after sales. Service as most caravans
Haha more than likely!

Got a Chevy 1500. Holden didn’t even know how to change a belt tensioner. Their service is 💩
Oh no, that's not reassuring haha!
Push to get them to cover everything. They have to want happy customers. Poor things. Bloody painful when this stuff happens
Oh we're trying! Cheers thank you!
Glad you dropped the F Bomb as this is piss poor service.
haha oh it was sooo frustrating!

Next car Toyota 300, no surprises about the American car.
300s have their own problems.. people are currently having seized engine problems
Got the LC300. Currently stuck in Port Augusta. Warning came up Engine maintenance required. Go to nearest dealer.
Back to a Toyota is very appealing right now!
Oh no, not great! Hope it's sorted for you soon!
So sorry that this has happened to u again, not a very good advertisement for Chevys.
Cheers, we appreciate it!

Shouldn't have bought a Chev haha
