- Despite a heat wave stretching through the Bay Area, a woman in Marin County who works to provide clean water to homeless residents in encampments by Highway 101 in Novato was told by city officials to stop doing such.

It is illegal to leave a dog in such inhumane conditions. Why are the officials responsible for that not being criminally charged.

While law enforcement has legally reached out to protect animals with regards to being left unattended in a hot car, the same law enforcement has determined it ok to abandon the needs of human beings in such unethical conditions. They are going as far as to condemn and impede those who seek to provide the barest of minimum life sustaining needs such as water. 💦

I've been homeless. Water and where to potty is a never ending grind. You try to hold on to the scraps of humanness in case things get better. After a while you just give up and rot. When the demons in my head give me a break I can find kind souls who will help me get a shower, a couple of meals, and a shirt with buttons so I can get a job. But the demons always come back. When things are bad the smallest bit of help can make a huge difference. I've gotten into an RV with a water well hookup from a nice church lady. I don't smell homeless so I was able to get work. I won't give up my water. I will die first.

I use to pass out water and food to the homeless until I got attacked. These homeless areas are dangerous

If you are Christian, they cannot block you from giving food and water to the needy. That is our religion. It is in the Bible.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment or religion, or PROHIBITING THE FREE EXERCISE thereof."
Laws that prohibit the free exercise of religion cannot be made in the United States.
So it is not that our religion actually "trumps the law" -- it is that the local law itself, in this case, is unconstitutional, and therefore void.
However, in addition to that, God Himself created this world and everyone and everything in it, and His Word is above EVERYTHING, including law. So even if there were no constitution to protect our religious rights, our religion does trump law, and we still have a God-given right and responsibility to ignore that law and feed the hungry.
God's law is the highest law.

I don't know if you watch Star Trek DS9, but there is an excellent 2 part 3rd season episode called "Past Tense" which deals with homelessness. It actually takes place on Aug 30-Sept 1st 2024, which is only 10 days away
City Council in Lake Elsinore did the same!
In Tampa being homeless is a felony and prividing food water and clothing is a class 1 misdemeanor with a automatic $1000 fine. They call it aiding and abeding a felon .
