    that's a great example. I can see widgets being flown across the screen with this music setting the background.

      @@HelloComposers awesome! I’d love to know more about the plug-ins you are using and why. Also it would be great if you were able to zoom in on the channels as you describe them. You could even go deeper into the entrance and exists if each instrument and why, great job moving that piece along so nicely. I really enjoyed it!

      I guess from an arranger standpoint that would be fine, but I don’t want to get too in the weeds in production. This channel is more about musical decisions. But which instruments to use are certainly part of those decisions.

      Thank you. I really wasn’t sure if this type of content was going to be interesting. I also realized I probably need to go more into my decisions for what chords to use based on some theory things that we often don’t think about but are important to know WHY we do what we do.

    Very interesting. I feel I have a ways to go on some of the technicalities since it has been so long since formal music training as a child. Right now I play around a bit with GarageBand, but it sure is fun/addicting to try and create stuff (I just need more skills to make final products as opposed to "good enough" to show someone else who can then produce it professionally.

    Hey Eric! Great Job on this video! I always like to see other composer's workflow. I love that fact you explain chord progressions, seems to get neglected in much of the content. I love the format of this video. Looking forward to see what comes next!!

    • @HelloComposers
      @HelloComposers  2 года назад +1

      Yes, I have a lot of video ides for theory/composing related things like chord progressions and chord possibilities in certain keys, ABAB and other song forms, etc.

    I often find that I get 4 chords but get stuck when looking for the other 4 🤔 I should probably brush up on my theory rather than doing everything by ear and feel. The number system makes sense. Interesting to see your thought process.

    • @HelloComposers
      @HelloComposers  2 года назад +1

      Well four chords are fine and there’s no law against using only those. Corporate music needs to be as background as possible. Thanks Lee!

    This is amazing, Eric. Good job! You mentioned you based this composition on one of Steve’s tracks, although it is truly an original piece. This is a very productive way to start writing. It could be interesting to see how you go over a reference track and pin down the essential elements in terms of style and instruments you need for your own work. Thanks for sharing such valuable content. 👏🏻

      Good ideas. I don’t use reference tracks much, or if I do it’s for the rough chordal arrangement. But yes great idea!

    Why use the microwave to make tea? What's wrong with using a kettle?

      The real dilemma with making tea is whether to make it in the mug or teapot or, for the REAL corksniffers, whether to use a teabag or loose tea.
      There's also the use of bone china, but I can be clumsy when it comes to washing dishes, so that's a no-go.

      All kidding aside, I must say, not being a coffee drinker I actually do enjoy having a teapot and making tea the old fashioned way. It’s very relaxing. Target has a brand of tea called Harney and Sons. They have a flavor called “Hot Cinnamon Sunset (or Spice)” that is to die for and requires NO sweetener. And I still don’t get the milk thing gov’nah.

      @@HelloComposers The milk is only added to the regular black or breakfast types. We drink Punjana at home and look for Belfast Blend, Irish Breakfast or English Breakfast if out.
      I don't think milk is added to the Camomile and other fruit and herby types. I could be wrong though. I'd make my own chill-out tea occasionally in the summer using leaves from home-grown lemon balm.
