Seems you take a car, give it to some youngsters to play with in the dirt for a while then 'abandon' it for a week or so. Then you strip and clean the car. Nice job but is it really a restoration? What if you just took the car and washed it? Same result?

Looking to do this as a hobby. Where do you find the vehicles to restore.
By the look of them he makes them look old himself, Die cast metal does not rust nor does plastic.
I restore Tonka Toys and buy them on Ebay, but they can be spendy.
It's all fake. He buys them new on eBay. And then leaves them outside in the rain and mud to "weather" and then he "restores" 😂
Just look for Tonka's toys, or any other manufacturer that used steel to make the body, you will find them easily on E-Bay.
Be aware that restoring a rusted toy requires knowledge about the products and the machines necessary, even though you can start with simple tools; there's no need to take a sandblaster or anything fancy at least at the start.
Look for the cheaper models possible and start experiencing on them, it's necessary to understand how to intervene on it and the type of damage done by the rust and how to better restore them, it can become pricey, but if you will succeed there's lot of collectors that maybe will commissions you to restore their toys if you will become good enough, anyway it's a niche field, so don't expect to become the #1 immediately, prepare to wait a lot, just don't give up.
And now the bad news: in case of these models they are Die-casts ones, it means that the alloy league used to make the body can't rust at all, unless you use some aggressive chemicals products and other things like pastel pigments, put them in the dirt etc etc.... to simulate the rust like he did, and these rule applies to all the toy car made by Maisto, B-burago and other manufacturers like them.
So in this second case you can just do a customization not a restore, sorry for the spoiler.
If you decide to do custom versions of these model I would suggest to be honest about it, In my opinion it will give you more followers in the long run, don't use click bait titles like these, please. :)
