- Do you like incredible quantity and attention to every little detail? You have come to the right place. Since I am a big fan of the trilogy of the movie " Back to the Future ", from an early age I dreamed of such a time machine in the role of which was the DeLorean car. As soon as I had the opportunity to rework this model, I took on this project with zeal, it was a fan job for fans of this great franchise. For this video I put all of myself, all my patience, all my skills and very, very, very many hours of my life, I hope true fans and connoisseurs will appreciate my work. The attention to detail in this restoration is simply stunning. The interior work looks like a well-used car interior.
Thank you, I really appreciate your comment)
Attention to detail ? Are you kidding me. For one the seats don't have any brown or dirt if that what is they were was going for. The exhaust fans are not brown they are black. Not to mention a ton I mean a ton of other errors. Was it a good restore? Yes it was. But to say "the attention to detail is simply stunning" is wrong. I see this as them creating their own version of it not really a restore.
@@thatscienceguy9458 go do your own man. Stop hating. It's better than what you can at least
@@shikharnegishiggy8752 Haters are gonna hate
Yeah. The attention to detail when they faked the aging on it is awesome!
Your attention to detail is unbelievable. At first I saw you sanding down the plastic wires and was confused. Then I'm like, "Oh, he's putting real wires on there" Excellent work!
From something not even a wrecker would take, all the way back to looking like it just came off the factory floor. Stunning job.
he destroyed it him self first
how many factories that you know pre-weather the interior panels of the car? 🤦♂️
Fantastic work. I especially like how you got the carpeting effect on the floorboards.
Dr Emmett Brown would be impressed, I can hear the words, "Great Scott!"
Prob not since the time machine is back 👀
Bloody hell, judging by the looks of it at the start I’d guess the flux capacitor went ballistic during time travel ?! I hope Einey was ok though!!
@Stella Hohenheim 😪 Nooooooo!
That turned into SO much more than I was expecting.
Excelente 😱😱...
It's been buried here for 70 years, 2 months, and 15 days. Astounding.
Yeah but it has an arrow in the gastank.
Stuffed it into an abandoned mine.
Hey Marty those are my Initials this is where the DeLorean is
Anyone think it looked good rusty? Like how it would of looked if left covered up back in the Wild West film if never uncovered till the modern day.
You would actually add that one to a collection just to add the futuristic touch to the line up. As to your question, yeah. Hadn't thought of it that way until you mentioned it, hehe.
Diecast metal can not rust
yea, but the stainless steel body won´t rust ;)
Tbh, it looks more like its been in a fire somewhere but underneath things.
@@craiglittle5118 probably salvaged from a house fire.

Enjoy watching you work. I was a professional model builder for years and always like to see high quality work from skilled builders.
Hats off to you, sir! Model building is an amazing joy!
That is unreal...You are extremely talented with restoring Severely damaged cars. You blew me away with this build...major Kudos brother!!!!
Just curious...do people just dump their junk on you? Do you find them at thrift stores? Do you buy potential projects, or what?
My god the precision and the attention to detail on the tiny flux capacitor glass... wow! I’m impressed!!
Я, как увидел проводки, сразу о работе вспомнил.... Потом вспомнил что видос смотрю, сразу отпустило =) Слаботочкой занимаюсь =))) отличный видос, спасибо ! =)
I would have thrown that away 100 out of 100 times, thanks for keeping it alive! Recycling, done right.
I was almost expecting this thing to go Back to the Future...incredible.
That car has gone back in time with that restoration. Symbolic and poetic...
From basket case, to a masterful work of art… 👍🏻
It’s crazy how they took a totally ruined and dirty delorean and turned it to make it look like one of James Bond cars if he had a delorean so cool.
There’s only two words that can describe this restoration ... GREAT SCOTT!
The interior carpet is such a cool trick that turned out amazing!
Wow, it does remember when the Delorean machine was buried in 1885 and for 70 yrs. And of course repairing the time circuits are a tricky task.
This actually seems like the future of the back to the future where everything has become a mini version. The attention to the details was really very awesome
Thank you )

This delorean should be in cyberpunk
I have 4 of these cars. One for each movie and an additional BTTF 1 for my kid. He completely destroyed it. Dang brat..
The 3 of mine are still in good condition. But all 3 together can't match the additional detailing and customising you put on yours!! Fantastic work!
Thank you, I really appreciate your feedback)
Sounds like you need to have one of yours... restored. Might know someone who could do that for you.
@@donhartfield Thanks for the offer, but only my kid's car was destroyed. The 3 of mine from all 3 movies are still in perfect condition. Besides, I'm in Asia, the cost of restoration plus shipping could well buy me a brand new one. Haha

The power of love is a curious thing
Make a one man weep, make another man sing
Change a hawk to a little white dove
More than a feeling, that's the power of love
Tougher than diamonds, rich like cream
Stronger and harder than a bad girl's dream
Make a bad one good, make a wrong one right
Power of love will keep you home at night
You don't need money, don't take fame
Don't need no credit card to ride this train
It's strong and it's sudden and it's cruel sometimes
But it might just save your life
That's the power of love
That's the power of love
First time you feel it, it might make you sad
Next time you feel it, it might make you mad
But do be glad baby when you've found
That's the power makes the world go 'round
And it don't take money, don't take fame
Don't need no credit card to ride this train
It's strong and it's sudden, it can be cruel sometimes
But it might just save your life
They say that all in love is fair
Yeah, but you don't care
But you know what to do (to do)
When it gets hold of you
And with a little help from above
You feel the power of love
You feel the power of love
Can you feel it
Mmm-hmmm
It don't take money and it don't take fame
Don't need no credit card to ride this train
Tougher than diamonds and stronger than steel
You won't feel nothin' till you feel
You feel the power
Just feel the power of love
That's the power
That's the power of love
You feel the power of love
You feel the power of love
Feel the power of love
There’s not much of the original car. It looks like it’s mostly new parts and custom parts. I’m not knocking it down I think it’s amazing especially the carpet work that was so cool. And the use of real wires it made it so much better
I dont think so I think it's a blood orange cider and remote control
😣🚘. I like it
With that amount of detail, I'd bet it travels back in time too!!
But he had to remove the flight capabilities, too rusted.
When I first saw the pic of how the Delorean looked before restoration I screamed, "But that's impossible" like Luke in ESB. Your skills are epic.
Thanks )
I love the detailing. I also really like that your methods don't involve machines that cost thousands of dollars and other things most amateurs don't have access to. It shows your skill off more to do these in a way that others could actually maybe learn to do. Good video!
Great Scott!
That DeLorean sure went to hell and back! Insane restoration man! You did perfect justice to that car! That's one of my all time favorite trilogies, me and my son loves these movies! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

@@GoodRestore I like watching restore videos they are cool to watch
Okay, the addition of the felt in the interior won me over instantly. Extremely good job!
Thank you )
Yeah, that was one of those completely unnecessary but hugely effective details, just like the line for the opening part of the windows. Nice touch.
What did you use to create the felt interior?
My man really went out of his way to turn a basic Delorean into a hobby grade model.
obviously it got burned up on re-entry 88 mph - great job. This is one of those iconic vehicles where the interior is as important as the exterior - a tough task mastered beautifully
Great Work man... I impressed ! 🙂

Oh another person that falsely ages up toy cars and "restores" them is impressed... Must be good then

At first I was like no he's grinding off the wiring then he put real wires and made it even better amazing job great restoration
My effing heart rate elevated.
Yup, I had the same wtf moment
I think it was a mistake. The real wires just look like small wires to me. Not like a big chunky wire but in mini.
But collectors will say: That's not how it should be so i give you 5$ XD
Not Restored.. Just Customized. This was a new model before he decided to scam you.
By the thumbnail it seemed like a real size car. What a surprise!
I had no idea that restoring the time machine would be so complex, so detailed, and such an endeavour. You did a fantastic job. Doc Brown would be proud!
Why you say would? Oh yeah he’s in 1885 right now.
Poor Delorean: '(I was so neglected, but I love happy endings.
Geeze, this must have been what it looked like after digging it out of the mine

I love the work and detail on the little Flux Capacitor, some could have said “No ones going to look so never mind” but no, this guy took the time and work to complete it. Well done 👏
"Great Scott Marty, we have to rebuild the DeLorean and go back to the future!" "Wow thats heavy Doc"

Wow, that was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. In the beginning, as you were grinding away the external cables, I thought you were going to turn this into a normal, non-BTTF, DeLorean. Little did I know that you were going to do the restoration really really well. Good job. Excellent job. Very satisfying to watch.
thats a lot of care put into smoothing the bodywork - and i like how he did the door windows. I've no idea why this video popped up into my youtube.

I don’t consider it a resto for that very reason, this is renovation with added customization.

Edit: it’s 7 months wrong or it is just me
If the DeLorean wasn’t destroyed by the train and found by someone and restored... Crazy🤯🤯
Check out "video bob" here on RUclips. He builds very accurate dmc time machines
i was gannna say the same thing
I was panicking when you started grinding off the body but then it turned out better then the original. Great idea on the flooring carpet.
Holy smokes! What a great work!
Probably one of the greatest restores I've ever seen.......marred by the fact that the exhaust vents are not black anymore.
In the movies, they are not completely black in the first episode.
In my opinion this is one of the best you've done.
I think with thinner wires it would look a little more realistic , but I'm just saying that because everything else is perfect.
Nope
Unfortunately, I didn't have thinner wires

She's never looked so beautiful before!
Aside from the first time we see her of course.
That's just wow... The level of meticulous attention to detail is astounding. I bet the restore looks better than the original brand new.
I did find it a bit ironic to put all the effort put into cleaning the small details, but turn around to make it look worn and weathered. 😅
The headlight sticking out reminds me of when Johnny 5 got his eye knocked out.
I’ve never been handy like this. I admire folks with this kind of talent.
Grew up in the 80's and I still think the car looks futuristic, loved the cyberpunk aesthetic.
One of my favourite of your restorations. Great job.
It's like you took the car back in time!
OMFG those detailings are killing me
Marty McFly (Then): "Wait, Doc. Are you telling me you built a time machine....out of a DeLorean?!"
Me (Now): "Wait, are you telling me you restored Doc Brown's DeLorean?!"
Yes to both! Thank you so much for restoring this small representative of such an iconic film. 😎👍
Thanks )
It's dope that you added actual wires to give it that movie like effect just earned my subscribe.
For all the amazing attention to detail and work in the restoration, I have a few questions: where did you get the replacement tires? And the replacement lights and dashboards? Because I can clearly see the cleaning and painting of the body but when you start applying the accesories: were those new or cleaned up? And the tires and tail lights....
There is no doubt he does nice work but I think the model is made to look bad for better effect. I sell old toys and the first problem is that you find them with most of the plastic parts missing. In this video the front grill and back one are half way loose but not missing. I think these videos are dishonest. My opinion.
@@seaturtledog these videos are made for entertainment purposes. Of course he cuts some corners. He might even buy two models and destroy one and use the other new one for parts but it doesn't take away from his stunning skills. But I agree that if someone wants to replicate his MO, one needs to know how every last thing is done to the fine details, otherwise it's fantasy,

Almost there , , ,
Not exactly a "restoration" so much as a re-creation.
@Stellvia Hoenheim He's not wrong. Just because it's a re-creation doesn't mean it takes any less skill for him to do what he did.
I saw my first real live Delorean on the road just last week. I was disappointed to see that it was not fitted with a Mr Fusion unit on the rear. I was also surprised by just how low these things are to the ground! A student of mine owned one a few years ago and he said you need to know two things before buying one. They leak like a sieve and you have to be prepared for every back to the future joke known to man.
I still want one though. Excellent super detailing and restoration work.
The carpet finish was a sick touch!
Still convinced that all these restoration channels "damage and dirty" the subjects prior to "fixing"...
yeah like where do they "find" the models? in the deeps of the ocean or what?
Lol, I thought I was the only one...
You say it like it's something that's not happening.
And there are obviously spare kits available for parts. In this "restoration", the tires and hubs are torched and melted to start, yet they are pristine in the final version - and we never see the work to replace them. No reconstruction of one perfect hub and tire, no molds, no casting like you would need to create identical copies to outfit the car.
I'm not saying that there isn't genuine model work going on here, but there's definitely some cheating going on. ;)
@@ObiShawn I think those were bought separately and installed, not casted.

Awesome work. I am amazed at the techniques for texturing and making it look gently used.
That's not a restoration, that's a serious upgrade!
Lovely attention to detail, but I'm curious as to where all these restoration emerge from ? They all seem to start off with the same amount of rust and debris
I wonder if these were in a flood? Maybe a whole collection of cars buried by Hurrican Katrina, something like that.
Lord knows what Hurricane Ida will unearth
@@mrbillhicks Or bury.
He ages them all with his patented aging method. He’s not on the up n up with us.
Id respect his talents if he didn’t try to make us think that he brought them “ ALL” back from extinction
I'm just curious how these cars end up this bad that they need restoring... Like, I'd imagine some are donations, but where from? A radioactive landfill or something?
He purposely distresses them beforehand!
From looking at this one, I’d say a butane or propane torch and a few carefully broken plastic parts, followed by a shallow burial in the yard to add some real dirt.
It’s all carefully crafted to make it appear like he just stumbled across these toys in a dump, or someone’s old shed.
Reality is, from start to finish, these entire “restoration “ videos are fraudulent. Not illegal or anything, but a bit of a farce.
