We’ll dive into the fascinating relationship between agriculture and conservation, learning why rice is being planted on the island and how it benefits both farmers and wildlife. Plus, you’ll get a close-up look at a rice harvester in action!

Starting out with a Blooper AND leaving it in the presentation says everything about your love for Faith, Family , Career and Life in general Tara! I very much have always appreciated your desire in keeping The REAL in your REEL! No glossing over or hiding anything! When you show up, we Fans are going to get The Best of what you got! Was great to meet both Jared and Frank and listen to their explanations and descriptions of all they they encounter in their work! The one BIG take away for me was when Jared stated that the Island itself was self sustaining! They take in no monetary help or aid! Simply Brilliant! These videos REALLY should be in classrooms too. You do such a great job covering so much in a short period of time Tara! THANK YOU! 🍎 Hoping as always that You, AJ, Master Waylon and extended Family AND Chickens, Doggies and other critters are all doing Awesome! Only 39 Calendar Days till Spring so Stay Strong And Keep Strutting! I'm quite certain the mosquitos and bugs are LQQKING forward to seeing us humans too!🤣 MOO From COW-lumbus, Ohio 👋

Tara, great to see you back at it, and good to see the process of helping nature to survive and prosper. It's important to try and keep a balance of man and nature.
Yes it’s all about balance.
Loved it!!

It feels great to bring the series back! I hope you enjoyed today’s episode
So 😎😎to see how crop diverse our Nation really is. Here in Wis we are corn [grain-silage], soybeans, alfalfa, kidney beans, potatoes, cranberries, etc. 👍👍💯💯
I'm excited to share with you hoe diverse California is! It's amazing how many crops are grown here.
Was nice too have seen your still around. How's your Dad been?
He’s good! Just chugging along with work. Hopefully he’ll make an appearance one of these days.
Has your dad bought in to this and converted to this and help produce a bigger rice surplus in the US? Sounds like California
My dad no longer farms. He does land leveling full time
What were he feelings of the farmers having the conservation group buying the island that was once was owned by farmers?
I'll be honest Robert, the island hasn't been owned by farmers during my lifetime, and possibly my dad's either. The last 2 owners were also large organizations. So it's been in this type of practice for a while.
Too bad programs like this are going to lose their funding.
I’m sure they work hard to keep it going!
