Kyosho kind of revived this with the " First mini-z " series of cars & there was a hop up motor for the palm runners as well, should be basically the same as the race tin 14,000 rpm motor if you want a little bit more speed out of this little car, though you probably can't run a single cell lithium battery then with the 14.000 rpm motor in without burning the board. Called the palm runner x-speed motor PRW01 & ofc you can buy any mini-z narrow tires for it as those are dry looking & cracked. Also are the wheels removable ? Kind of looks like they are using the same 2mm wheelnuts as the Mini-z's so might be able too swap out the wheels or put ball bearings in even, might be poor lighting though so it just looks like they are removable while they are press fit. As well as most 90 & 94mm wheelbase Kyosho mini-z autoscale bodies that has the proper height on the front end too clear the chassis & would fit the mini-z mr01, mini-z awd ma010,ma020 & mini-z fwd for example & that perhaps has been reproduced again like the Skyline R34, ae86,rx7 & others. I'd equate these too basically the same as the Auldey race tin which has both licensed body cars & more fantasy looking cars, they aren't bad for a toy grade, specially with a simple battery upgrade too a single lithium ion cell & are very popular too mod in asian countries too hit pretty crazy speeds with a relay mod, modified motors & like 9v batteries on the relay turning reverse into turbo basically. There was also the Tyco Canned Heat at one point which are fairly close too the race tins as well if not basically rebranded with their own licensed bodies for the gen 1 & gen 2 chassis of the race tin.
