    1:28 Amazing ingenuity and a prime example of the artist becoming a part of the music!! His great use and execution of these harmonics gives this piece such a grand palate of sounds on the guitar. Bravo again!!!

    Che temperamento!! Pero' un notevole autocontrollo, trattenersi a tratti , quasi scomparire per poi esplodere in un crescendo di passione e gioia, alternando questi stati d'animo, le note che sgorgano come da una sorgente inarrestabile. Complimenti all'interprete e all'autore

    A lovely discovery....Antonio José, assassinated at 33 in the Spanish Civil War...aledgely disciple of Ravel ...
    And what a fenomenal play by Gabriel Blanco, marvelous rendition of the piece...

      The nose harmonic has been done before, but not often. It's quite brilliant though. Check out Goran Krivokapic playing Rodrigo's Zapateado.

    He’s good but he’s no Sean Shibe.

    • @gilbertwalker3222
      @gilbertwalker3222 Год назад

      @@yosserc his interpretation isn’t as musical, colourful or as technically clean.
      It’s pretty simple.

    • @gilbertwalker3222
      @gilbertwalker3222 Год назад

      @@yosserc I don’t even think Bianco has the better sound either. That thin, plastic, nasal Smallman sound does him absolutely no favours. It has that hollow, apologetic honk that isn’t entirely Bianco’s fault but that all Smallman’s produce. Sean’s recording of the piece is quite acerbic but it is intentional (which you have stated). His live recordings, especially at the Wigmore, are entirely different. Try Sean’s recording at West Wicklow of the José sonata’s Pavana Triste, his sound is more beautiful to my ears. When Shibe plays a note, you know it’s him. I can’t say that about Bianco. It starts at 1:08:49.
      Bianco’s minimal technical deficiencies hold his interpretation’s back, especially in that 5th Walton bagatelle, they’ve both played. Something Shibe’s interpretations aren’t held back by.
      As for the “greatest” something I was never giving an opinion on. How sage like of you! Yamandu is a strange one because he has the worst ‘sound’ out of the 3. He’s wonderfully musical and technically eloquent (as all 3 are) but I’ve always noticed something ‘scratchy’ about his sound quality.
