      @@dadarknezz One question, what if i can make the sound but cant make it loud enough? I trying to get ear piercing lvl of loud ( like when i use the regular "blow the candle" style) but as soon as i increase the air pressure the whistle stop.

    • @dadarknezz
      @dadarknezz  2 года назад

      With lots of practice you can increase it very little at a time. Just increase the pressure slightly, just above what you can usually do, and then try to find the whistling sound again. That's what I've done to increase the loudness of it, but I'm sure it can be increased much more than what I've done, as I don't have the spaces to practice being loud XD

    Saw this for the first time today and tried it.
    Interesting, I’m now making a sound that’s different from my normal day to day whistle. Not loud (yet), but certainly a slightly higher pitch. That tip about the air coming from below the tongue helped. The drawing was incredibly useful. How long did it take you to get it that loud? Was it like right away or within a few days?

    • @dadarknezz
      @dadarknezz  3 года назад +3

      I'm glad to hear it helped! Honestly, that thing about the air coming from below is something all other videos i've seen leave out, and it took me soooo long to figure out, so i thought i'd share it with others :D
      It took me several weeks/months. But it all depends on the amount spent practicing. You can basically go 2 ways when practicing: You can either practice getting it right on first attempt (it's pretty embarrassing to fail XD ), or you can improve the loudness of it. I personally chose to improve loudness for a while, and then later practiced getting it right on first attempt. I know it's possible to get it much louder than what i do here though ^^

    • @dadarknezz
      @dadarknezz  3 года назад +1

      You can make it louder by using more pressure. To train this, you should do it in tiny steps, so you just use a slightly higher pressure. When you keep pressing the limits to how much pressure you can use as well as keeping the whistle, you will slowly get louder and louder

    When I do it I’m only getting air that sound about like an “S” sound, or an air hose or something. It’s high pitched but it’s only air, no whistle.

    • @dadarknezz
      @dadarknezz  3 года назад

      The tongue is the hardest part as well. You should block the small gap between your upper teeth and lower lip. Then while maintaining s little bit of pressure in the mouth (like when you try to blow out, but the tongue is blocking the air flow), try to pull the tongue straight back, so a very small gap will be made between tongue and teeth, as well as between tongue and lip

    Can you vouch for these claims?
    1. The tongue's tip should not touch the lips or teeth.
    2. The sides of the tongue should brush against the upper teeth but not the lower teeth.
    3. When the tongue muscle is strong, the notch on the tip of the tongue develops over time.
    4. The tongue should cover all of the upper teeth, with only a small opening in front for air to escape.
    5. Teeth should be used to pull the tongue tip back by tightening the sides of the tongue.
    Do you have any more suggestions? Why don't you make another video with new tips, as this one is your most popular on RUclips?

    • @dadarknezz
      @dadarknezz  2 года назад +1

      I believe that sums it up pretty well, although i don't think 3) is correct. For this method the tongue strength doesn't matter much, but positioning and control over the tongue matters - which is something you'll improve on after learning the whistle as well :) 5) is probably correct, though i don't think it's something you need to pay attention to, as it's the natural way to move the tongue, but i don't think it's a wrong statement
      Haha yeah i guess i could make another one, but i'm not really sure what to add - only different angles to see the tongue. I wanna make other youtube videos though and i plan to make a separate channel for some of it ^.^
