I just started a build on a 1972 XLH i just bought from a buddy, it came completely disassembled, i'll have to put a bunch of money into this thing but im excited to begin the project.
I know it is an old video, suggestion heat the case to 250° F and freeze the race it will drop in with minimum press. Read an old Brit manual. Only a suggestio.
Please elaborate. I know end play is critical on the flywheel but doesn’t that come into play once the bearings are installed? Crank or cam? The cams will be shimmed upon re install and the sprocket shaft play should be set by the timken bearing spacer once I mate the bearings/flywheel into the case? Or am I missing something? Genuinely trying to get a better understanding
@@WrenchingWrecked the response you gave is all the answers I need. I was worried if you were going to check all end play Crank and cams and even on the rockers and the trans shaft and gears.
I'm so glad you made / are making all these videos.
I'm so glad your watching 'em! Thanks for the support!

That would also help with this process. Especially without a press! Thanks for watching and input!
Do what ya gotta do on this
But
You need end play
There's a lot I want to say but
It is what it is
