Absolutely loved your extraordinary video of Things to do in Yunnan. I am looking forward to experiencing these places in April 2022. Your videos are just the right of everything (sites, talking, recommendations). Thank you for sharing beautiful China with the world.
Nico: Well Dine!! I am American, living in Lijiang for 10 years (about six months per year) except for the past two years when I have been in Lijiang full time due to the xxxxx virus. I have actually enjoyed traveling much more during the pandemic due to the very low volume of tourists. Thanks for sharing a few of the many fantastic locations in Yunnan and it only scratches the surface of this amazing province. Jungle to 20,000 mountains and twenty-six diverse cultures to explore. Love your videos, the photography, editing, narrating, and pace are just right. i was planning on visiting the yunnan province but i am so scared of getting weird looks by the locals because i am not asian or no one speaking even a little bit of english. what was your experience?

@@neverletthisgo9213 I'm there at the moment: no ones speaks English even in the hospitality industry 😅 It's still worth it though: it's amazing. But I needed a few days of adaptation with VPNs, changing your apps habits, being lost in translation, and after a week I still have a lot of difficulties to plan activities.
I love how you visit these quaint little towns like Lijiang and Baisha as I feel like they encapsulate the essence of China. There is so much beauty and history to be found around every corner as you make your way down those narrow streets and alleys- scenes that you can't find in any book or documentary, so thank you for sharing your travels! I'd have to say, I've never seen Chinese scenes presented with a backdrop of jazz music, but then again it makes so much sense: the easy, meandering tune of the sax, the improvisation, nicely portrays the relaxed but stimulating sights and sounds, actually surprises, that unfold around you. Thank you again for going off the beate path for us, and I hope to see more videos of these beautiful little hamlets when things get better in China. Please keep safe!
@@Nicofilms You're welcome and I appreciate your taking the time to share all your wonderful travels and the amazing places you've been. Can't wait to see more!!

Yunnan is one of my favorite provinces in China, full of wonderful sightseeing, different cultures n living styles, and cheap hhhh. Thanks for your video taking me go back to this fantastic place again.
Great places to visit! I've travelled to Yun Nan twice and my favorites were Erhai lake and Shangri-La City. Also while in Yunnan I suggest going tp the mountains. Yunnan has "snow mountains" that are so high that they even had snow when I went in the summer. I've never experienced higher altitude or fresher air in my life, even breathing was difficult up there.
I am shockingly amazed and surprised watching your videos,it's so many beautiful place that I never heard before.Hope to visit there some day. Thanks for sharing.Love From Malaysia.
'liked'. Thank you for the video. Thank you for telling us about the smaller stone forest (50 yuan for 2). Didnt quite catch the name. The scenery is quite amazing. I am happily surprised to see clean towns. You mentioned doing the Leaping Tiger hike over a few days. You mean there are hotels along the way, or do you have to camp in tents? Thank you.
It is called Naigu it's a bit harder to get to but totally worth it. Yes if you do the hike there are guesthouses along the way which you can stay in overnight. I'm going to do an in-depth video about Tiger Leaping Gorge in the next few weeks so that will help answer some of your questions and you'll be able to see what they look like :)
We just arrived in Dali, on 6th December 2023 and went to look for the Cafe 88, for a cheese sandwich and found it after walking up and down many streets, but now it's just a bar, with no bread on the menu. Interesting streets though, but couldn't find a decent coffe and cake place as yet-not wanting to go to Starbucks. All the flower cake shops seem to have the same produce-must be a big factory somewhere to supply all these shops. Update-we went to the wrong place, the Bakery 88, is in Renmin Lu, or maybe Foreigner St? will check later.
Oh no that's such a shame, I have another video just about the Stone forest up you can watch it and pretend you have been! Hopefully you will get another chance soon when this is all over, Yunnan was such a wonderful place!
I am from Yunnan. Like all the other provinces in China it worth you to spend more time to explore. Starting from Kunming city there are 4 different directions to visit with different landscape and culture. Have you visited the Shangri-la since you have already reached to Tiger Leaping Gorge.
@@annnfaith3592 No need to worry about the safety issue. And people are friendly for sure. Thanks for the video 😍 Which month of the year did you visit Yunnan province? And which month you'd recommend in order not to catch it on rainy and smoggy seasone?
We visited in May, I think Yunnan is pretty nice all year round. Kunming is known as the spring city so its quite mild. But it usually rains for us whenever we go anywhere so maybe don't trust my opinion haha 😂
