I'm in Guilin now. Guilin is my best after Xi'an. I'm lucky, I visited every area you mention except moon hill, not bad. The longji rice terrace is my utmost best, the nice vegetation on the mountain is amazing, then Li river omg 😍I'll be returning to school soon. Guilin was worth it ☺️
It's just so beautiful isn't it? We really loved Longji the views were just breathtaking. This area was one of the most stunning places I've ever seen I really want to go back again. I'm pleased you had a good time!
Hey, Nico! Thanks for the video! I came back from Yangshuo a couple of weeks ago. I also stayed in the Sudder Street Guesthouse and even enjoyed the pool! The only thing you missed watching is the sunset on Xianggong Mountain in Xingping which was amazing! You get there at 4-5 am in the morning and wait till the sun rises! it was the most beautiful sunrise in my life! If you ever have a chance to go there and experience this - I highly recommend!
That's awesome! It's such a nice hostel. Thanks for the tip! You were obviously luckier than us as it rained the whole time so we weren't able to climb many of the mountains or see any sun haha. Hopefully, if we go back we will be luckier with the weather!

Brings back memories from my trip in 2019. I wish we spent more time in Guilin and Yangshuo but we did see a lot of would you did here. And I did the money comparison while rafting. The Longji Rice Terraces are a must and we also did a boat ride to the Sun and Moon pagodas. Xijie Pedestrian Street (West Street) is very touristy but we enjoyed it. Kind of like Gatlinburg. Of course my videos don't compare but traveling with friends and family is a different experience.
Thanks for this introduction to Guangxi. And highly recommend hipster style, crystal Qinghai Lake in Ningxia. It is very unique and different, compare with all the other places you have been to.
I recently went to Qinzhou which is a pretty small-sized city. Not Guilin or Yangshuo. But still amazed by Guangxi! Great food and amazing people. Will try Guilin next time!

Shanhu Lake was like some other parks in China I visited, lit up with colored lights and full of people. And your bus ride was like the one we took to go up to visit the Longji Rice Terraces. How did you do the aerial shots? Love your video. My videos don't compare!
I was there 10 years ago, the same rainy days. I hate travelling in rains, because usually the mountains will be shrouded by heavy cloud. Like you, I enjoy the bike riding very much there.
Really lovely to see you visited my home city! The place my family used to live during my childhood was right at the foot of Laoren Hill, so I often went hiking with my parents there (I was too young and short to climb those huge rocks by myself so my parents had to lift me onto it:D). Really miss my home in the UK now!!
@@Nicofilms I am in Cambridge right now. A beautiful small city with amazing buildings! If you are going to revisit Guilin after the pandemic, you can try Ba Jiao Zhai in Ziyuan County. China has a diverse landscape, there are plenty of places worth a visit ( I haven't visited many of them though, but they are on my to-do list for sure). Have you thought about travelling to the western part of China? I went to Qinghai and Gansu once, and the scenery was super impressive to me.

I was in Yangshuo this August for a couple of days but it was so hot we ended up not doing much, the heat was unbearable! Such a bummer. We also stayed at Sudder Street but I did not like it at all :/

I live in Toronto. Guilin is hometown. And I speak English with British accent and I feel you are from North England becuase of your pronounciation of "but".
@@Nicofilms My ex is an English and I travelled to the UK many times, so I know British English very well. I went to Guilin last summer, it was very hot. Have you ever tried Guilin rice noodle?
@@Nicofilms nvm You're suggested to take a crash course on Chinese Pinyin. Not so difficult for English speakers if you forget about the tones lol and it would definitely help when you need to ask for directions from a local human next time :-)

This summer I traveled to Yangshuo, The local people remind us be careful the snake when climbing the wild mountain in this season.
Oh really? I didn't see any snakes there but I saw two in Yunnan when we did a hike.

@@Nicofilms 不潮湿就不会有漓江烟雨的说法了。。中国的城市脱离了有饮食看起来都有点苍白，桂林的干锅和汤锅不错。鸭脚煲也不错，大概老外可能不吃鸭脚之类的部位吧
