    Thanks a bunch for this video. I just spent the last 8 hours doing this alone (without proper tools for the belt sadly and other assistance where 2 people would help). Without this video I wouldn't have been able to finish it. Thanks a bunch, now hopefully when I get some sunshine I can see if I did it successfully.

    I torqued my water pump bolts 89 as instructed but a head broke off why is this?

      in or ft?

    • @jgireby
      @jgireby 6 лет назад

      Kriss Villalobos Are you sure you used inch pounds and not foot pounds. If you used foot pounds it would have broken the head off of the bolt.

  • @kennydavis2276

    "Replace the belt and torque the pulley bolts".LOL. Easier said than done. The belt will not hold the pulley while torquing.

      Did you figure anything out? I've been pulling the tensioner all the way up to get the belt on 😱

  • @hugh3rdof5
    @hugh3rdof5 9 лет назад +2

    At about min 3:40, we're told "you need to check the tensioner, to make sure it's within specs." Ok, so how does one do that? Less than helpful to put a boilerplate instruction in there without explaining or demonstrating...

    IT SURE WOULD BE NICE TO TELL US WHAT SIZE BOLT HOLDS THE BELT SHIELD!

    • @angleturner
      @angleturner 6 лет назад +1

      And it would be nice if you weren't so dumb (as to not be easily enough able to figure that out for yourself,... you have no selection of wrenches or sockets ?) and so rude as well TO BE YELLING IN ALL CAPS. The video was extemely well thought out, produced, filmed, narrated, and helpful. (except to rude dummies)

    You're using the wrong coolant in that GM vehicle! You are supposed to use DEX COOL in GM vehicle

    • @kubotaman1985
      @kubotaman1985 8 лет назад

      Yes you do have to use dex cool in GM vehicles! it clearly says "Use Dex Cool" under the hood of GM vehicles. By the way have fun with your sensors failing prematurely

    • @kubotaman1985
      @kubotaman1985 8 лет назад

      Kyle Skinner it clearly says under the hood "use Dex Cool

      there's no reason why you need to use Dex cool in any gm vehicle. Any regular green antifreeze is fine. I've got an older version of this same 3.1 V6 in my camaro that was made a few years before Dex cool and it just says "engine coolant" on the tank.

    • @kubotaman1985
      @kubotaman1985 7 лет назад

      Yes there is! It clearly says under the hood of GM vehicles "use Dexcool"
