Crisco was invented in about 1901 by German scientist for use as submarine grease, after the wars proctor and gamble bought it out and then paid the American heart association over 1 million dollars to come out with advertising saying that it was heart healthy and that the animal lard that your grandmother used was dangerous for you , when in fact after the wide spread use of crisco is when heart disease skyrocketed.

For extra crispy breading, dredge the cutlets in cornstarch first, then flour and egg-buttermilk wash and flour again.

Before this video, I bought a package of those beef steaks. Fried them up and they were tuff as shoe leather. Since they were already flat, I didn't flatten anymore. Do you have any suggestions as to how to make them more tender/

Pounding the meat has nothing to do with the flour sticking to it. It makes the meat tender and splits any fibres in he meat.
