Have been listening to this piece off and on for 10 years. Shimmering harmonic brilliance. Thank you buddy for showing what's possible on a 12-string.

All those dismissive of the 12 string guitar, and there are plenty, get wise to stuff like this. If this guitar was coffee, it would be the strong, rich blend you'd drink to wake you up.

i picked up a 12 string guitar for the first time today and i fell in love instantly. the sound just has so much more dimension than a six string. one of the most beautiful instruments in the world hands down.

When I listen to this, it sounds like a whole band is playing. Yet there is only guitar being played. Awesome.

This video convinces me I need a 12-string acoustic,
Sounds like the parallel strings were tuned pretty close to each other so you get less of a chorus effect - more a piano style tuning if you will. It would be interesting to hear the same instrument with a bit more difference in the tuning.
I think you also need a wider space between courses to get that rich 12 string sound.
