My mom had the crafting gene. I remember her painting Santa in his sleigh with the reindeer on a huge window in our living room when I was about 4 or 5. She crocheted, knitted, sewed, cooked, baked, wood crafted with my dad ( who could do anything), quilted! I have two sisters who say I’m the only one who got that gene lol. I love crafting, especially since I lost my dad last Oct, it helps heal the wound just a bit Day by Day. Thank you for sharing your story of your mom and your daughter and their beautiful talents!
Kelly, you are truly amazing. Thank you for helping those of us who have trouble painting, and for sharing the story of your mom. Sounds like she was a very special lady.
I am now 70 and when I was probably 7 years old my mom painted my profile onto a china plate. It is one of the special moments I have had with my mom. I remember it so plainly. I would love to have that plate in my possession now. The farmhouse is empty of humans at this point and my mom is 95. She has no idea where this item would be and the house is falling down around it. 😭. Thank you for allowing me to share.
Watching and watching and watching and going back in time to give you thumbs up on older videos and hopes this keeps you good to go during your struggle with ray praying for him daily
You are so right to be a proud daughter and mom! Those pictures are beautiful. I really like the way your Santa turned. You know Kelly, you are artistic, just in a different way. I have loved all the projects I've seen and am still trying to pay catch up on the ones before I subscribed to your channel. You were also one of the ones that made me realize what style for my home I love. Thank you so much! Joy
Kelly, I'm sort of the same as you. I've always said that I'm not an artist I'm a crafter. I've always liked to do crafts and I'm now a 74 yr. old crafter and I love watching RUclips videos and yours are some of my favorites. This did turn out stinkin cute!
I love this video! I, too, have a creative mind, but I don’t have the ability to draw or paint. I so appreciate that you shared what your mother taught you..that there is a solution! I like it when you share about you mother. I am amazed by her talent, and Kayla’s talent and absolutely love the pictures they did. How wonderful that you have the gift of encouraging your daughter, the same way your mother encouraged you. Special women raising other special women, with strength and integrity. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing your story about your mom and your daughter. Your daughter's drawing is amazing!!! When I was about nine years old I was in the hospital and had to undergo open heart surgery and my dad and I used to color and draw together and he would teach me tricks fire drawing just like your mom did. ❤
I’m with you Kelly! I have no natural artistic painting talent. And there’s nothing wrong with that. I find ways around it as you do. You are so creative and I love your creations!! 😘
Very cute. Never short change yourself, you are very artistic. Your specialty may be a different medium but that does not mean that you are any less artistic than any painter or drawer. Your Santa is adorable.
So inspiring. Thanks Kelly! Love you dearly! Loving all the new videos! Thanks for coming back to us! I hope life is being kind to you sweetie! God bless!
Hi Kelly! Just because drawing is difficult for you don’t think for a minute that you’re not artistic! Your crafts are amazing! You’re simply talented in a different media. I’m one of the people who didn’t know what to do with the wood cut-outs. This tutorial is really helpful! 💗
Kelly you are EXTREMELY artistically talented! I’m always amazed with what you come up with in each of your videos. I’m so sorry for your loss of your Mother & Sister 😞. Your daughter is a gifted artist just like you and your Mother. TYFS
