My mom had the crafting gene. I remember her painting Santa in his sleigh with the reindeer on a huge window in our living room when I was about 4 or 5. She crocheted, knitted, sewed, cooked, baked, wood crafted with my dad ( who could do anything), quilted! I have two sisters who say I’m the only one who got that gene lol. I love crafting, especially since I lost my dad last Oct, it helps heal the wound just a bit Day by Day. Thank you for sharing your story of your mom and your daughter and their beautiful talents!
I am now 70 and when I was probably 7 years old my mom painted my profile onto a china plate. It is one of the special moments I have had with my mom. I remember it so plainly. I would love to have that plate in my possession now. The farmhouse is empty of humans at this point and my mom is 95. She has no idea where this item would be and the house is falling down around it. 😭. Thank you for allowing me to share.
Kelly, you are truly amazing. Thank you for helping those of us who have trouble painting, and for sharing the story of your mom. Sounds like she was a very special lady.
Very cute. Never short change yourself, you are very artistic. Your specialty may be a different medium but that does not mean that you are any less artistic than any painter or drawer. Your Santa is adorable.
Thank you for sharing your story about your mom and your daughter. Your daughter's drawing is amazing!!! When I was about nine years old I was in the hospital and had to undergo open heart surgery and my dad and I used to color and draw together and he would teach me tricks fire drawing just like your mom did. ❤
Love the Santa; but WOW on the recreation of Grandmothers drawing! She's amazing!!! Great job! Thank you for sharing this special family heirloom with us! Stay safe and well and GOD bless you all. :)
Watching and watching and watching and going back in time to give you thumbs up on older videos and hopes this keeps you good to go during your struggle with ray praying for him daily
Adding a bit of glitter to the white puffy paint would give Santa the little bit of sparkle that the kids would love!! I love this idea. You are so creative, I just love all your videos!! They're "just so stinkin cute". ❤️
Kelly, I'm sort of the same as you. I've always said that I'm not an artist I'm a crafter. I've always liked to do crafts and I'm now a 74 yr. old crafter and I love watching RUclips videos and yours are some of my favorites. This did turn out stinkin cute!
Love the pictures your mom and Kayla drew. Very nice and what a keepsake those will be to pass on to her children years to come. Great job on the Santa. Makes me want to buy some now.
You are so right to be a proud daughter and mom! Those pictures are beautiful. I really like the way your Santa turned. You know Kelly, you are artistic, just in a different way. I have loved all the projects I've seen and am still trying to pay catch up on the ones before I subscribed to your channel. You were also one of the ones that made me realize what style for my home I love. Thank you so much! Joy
😱 WOW! How amazing! Talk about faking it til you make it! You truly are an artist in many ways. Don't ever think otherwise. Looking forward to seeing what you are going to do with the snowman & gingerbread.
I would have never thought to use puffy paint. I want to make one and give it to my granddaughter. I hope my dollar tree has the Santa and Gingerbread man.
Kelly this was such a great tutorial for us amateurs. Your Santa is adorable and I love the story of your mom and daughters artistic talent. You are so creatively talented too and I appreciate all your DIYs
I’m with you Kelly! I have no natural artistic painting talent. And there’s nothing wrong with that. I find ways around it as you do. You are so creative and I love your creations!! 😘

Kelly you are EXTREMELY artistically talented! I’m always amazed with what you come up with in each of your videos. I’m so sorry for your loss of your Mother & Sister 😞. Your daughter is a gifted artist just like you and your Mother. TYFS
Hi Kelly! Just because drawing is difficult for you don’t think for a minute that you’re not artistic! Your crafts are amazing! You’re simply talented in a different media. I’m one of the people who didn’t know what to do with the wood cut-outs. This tutorial is really helpful! 💗
Love this Santa! Thanks for making it easy for those of us who don't have much artistic talent, but still want to craft. So sad that at your young age, you have lost a sister. Blessings to you. I also love the little red truck tissue box - Very creative! Please reconsider calling everything "so stinkin' cute" - it's getting old very fast. Thanks for the tips!

I love this video! I, too, have a creative mind, but I don’t have the ability to draw or paint. I so appreciate that you shared what your mother taught you..that there is a solution! I like it when you share about you mother. I am amazed by her talent, and Kayla’s talent and absolutely love the pictures they did. How wonderful that you have the gift of encouraging your daughter, the same way your mother encouraged you. Special women raising other special women, with strength and integrity. Thank you for sharing.
You did a great job on the 🎅 Santa! You came up with ideas, I wouldn't have thought about. I love that you used different types of paint, because of the textures and dimensions it gives. Plus the fabric gave it a wonderful look. And you added the features to his face, which gave him more character. I'm really glad you shared this, because it gives people like me ideas, and it opens my mind to possibilities. Also, the clown drawings your mother and daughter did, are truly amazing. They are both extremely artistic. As for me, I can't draw, period. I envy those two.
I love the drawing that you had from your mother and how special is it to have your daughter recreate it!! Just a treasure!! Lots of love and thank s for sharing with me.
You make it feel like Christmas.

I saw these at DT but didn’t buy because like you said, I didn’t know what to do with them. Now I do, thanks to you!
Wow, Very talented mom and her granddaughter. I think I can do your Santa.
My mom had the crafting gene. I remember her painting Santa in his sleigh with the reindeer on a huge window in our living room when I was about 4 or 5.
