The bushcraft camping style was a strong inspiration to me. Like you, I want to enjoy camping in its natural state. Thank you for sharing the wonderful video. I am a camper camping in Korea. I will stop by your channel often.😊😊😊
@@thesportsguy3609 a shelter is from all sides plus top and bottom. You are building in a gully under rainy conditions. It's obvious this is a creekbed or runoff stream that has filled before. Are you comfortable with waking up to a drowned fire and soaked bedding? I won't be taking any advice from anyone that doesn't even go by camping basics let alone survival. You'll do good to survive anything if those logs give way or the rain gets hard enough to flood already saturated ground. Hope you're the only one using this silly scenario. I'm an old woman and I know better than to rely on the location you chose. You shouldn't even camp in a low lying area or between two hills that serve as a runoff. You've done both. Watch your video and see how many mistakes you are passing on to viewers that don't know better.🤔
Mi piacerebbe stare in questa bella foresta al fresco e non qui in città dove fa caldissimo e ci sono 40 gradi. Ciao, un saluto dall' Italia. Bellissimo video
@@CampingSurvivalBtgCS01 It is a refuge for camping even in a misty rain....safe, it is not. When the rain comes down the slope, it can quickly fill the gully you're sleeping in instead of going around you, you are plugging the natural escape of the rain water. Water takes the path of least resistance...down the slope into the steambed or natural gully it's formed over time to quickly move down the bottom of the gully. I know people that died crossing a low lying area on a flat road when it wasn't even raining. The rainstorm was 50 miles away, but in seconds it came a wall of water that killed one of them trapping him in the car with the force of the water. Please make your shelter in a safe location, following safety protocol...Look up for widow makers. Don't camp on a game trail, in a wash or gully where rain will collect.Look for a flat, dry area. A shelter of sticks, leaves, moss etc. Is better than nothing but will leak once the rain seeps through. Better at keeping snow out if temps don't melt it through the leaves etc.as temps rise. Most of these shelters need some sort of trash bag, poncho or tarp to really keep you dry, thus warm. This is not an example of safe camping for survival or just enjoyment. Location is everything when you are camping. You may get away with this a couple of times and think it is a good setup because the sides of the slope afforded quick building with some found debris between the two slopes...not so if you wake up with water swirling around you, frightened out of sleep, you are not thinking clearly.🥺🥱🙄
All my survival manuals say don't camp in a hollow or cupped out spot that could fill with water while you sleep. What is this person doing??? A dip under some logs is where he chooses to make camp...and it's raining.😮
Okay so, I’m not crazy and not the only one asking this. I’m not even a survivalist, have background or instruction in survival, and I can see that’s a recipe for disaster. Yet, I see so many of these “survival” or bushcraft shelters built in hollows, washes, or trenches. I just do not understand.
That would have to be the most uncomfortable bed to sleep on, especially when you have that nice sandy soil to dig up and fluff up and lay your foam bedding on top, you could have a nice soft bed.
First step, place can on leg Second step, place sharp object on unstable can Third step, drive sharp object into can on leg with fist, watch can shift and drive sharp object into leg and bleed out before you can make it to help WTF?
Is this survival or how to build a log cabin. This is supposed to be survival bushcraft...He has fancy saw and custom made cup, but no food. He picks two berries and is back to sawing 6 inch trees. The supposed survival shelter even has a solid log floor...get real...😂
Question. Why dig up a hole to survive in when it rains. Isn'n your cozy shelter gonna turn into a pool of death. Aren't your chances better above the ground?

Your shelter was so nice, you are awesome 👍👏💯
Thank you 🤗
❤❤❤
Thank you person who said this, keep spreading that positivity
Ahh perfect, this widow maker will be a perfect structural part of my shelter 😂
😊 it barely hardly rains here
Seems like the people in North Carolina could use bushcraft homes right now so they don't freeze to death this winter.... your thoughts?
Solid shelter with a great roof. Excellent video! 👍

What happens first rain storm?
very slow...too much deliberate motions.

Hope it doesn’t rain. I would think rain runoff would pool there.
I was wandering that too. Isn't that gonna fill up
❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Can someone tell me what the noise is at 12:41-12:45? It sounds like a spaceship. 😂
👍👍👍👍
❤❤❤
So, how long did it actually take you to "build" this shelter?
Why no squirell
Bros thoughts on the first cut ; well 100,000,000 more to go
Hello Max how are you?
Thank you, I'm fine.
❤❤❤❤
Where is your dog at Max

❤❤❤❤
Agreed! It looks like a dry creek bed -- what is he thinking!
I learned that (not the hard way) when I was a kid, camping for my first time. 😅😂
The land looks to be flat and can easily have water drain to other outlets plus the tall tress give natural cover

A noite pode aparecer animais selvagens. Era prá ter providenciado uma porta 😮

U expect a good comfy bed? This for survival not luxury😂
Body heat will turn soil into mud eventually, better being up off the ground too for better insulation
😂😂
First step, place can on leg
Second step, place sharp object on unstable can
Third step, drive sharp object into can on leg with fist, watch can shift and drive sharp object into leg and bleed out before you can make it to help
WTF?
I'm pretty sure you can't just walk into a random forest in the US and do this. Must be in some other country.
I mean you can, I might be looked down on though 😂
Again, is this simple survival to keep alive or is it entertainment to tickle the ears of RUclipsrs.😮

He's made a perfect creekbed for a storm to fill up and run into while he sleeps. Ever hear of runoff??
Why do u cut off the bark ? Just wondering
❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤
what’s up with you tall ass guys building such short shelters? I’m 5 foot three and still build my shelters at least 6 feet tall. 🤣
Worst location for a camp/shelter
No weather sad video
