Hey man, quick question. Have you considered building the platforms similar to a bullet? With the glue head in the front, and a collapsible umbrella style metal mesh behind it? Can be launched with a compressed air charge, potentially part of the bullet, and should be able to glue, stick, and swing in 1 round as long as the glue dries quickly enough. Look into it? I don't have the resources to do it myself. Thanks and good luck.
@@kilovwdude6457 he got got the resources. Also sounds dangerous. What if the glue doesn’t dry fast enough. A hot glue on rounds sounds interesting though
Make the web anchor collapse into the CO2 cartridge and then when its fired the outward pressure of the co2 would cause it to "Blossom" open like a flower, or a net, or a hollow point round. If the anchor is metal and inside the co2 cartridge, then the glue could be pre placed/heated in the center. Not sure if that's the best description of the idea. But I'm sure by now, you've come up with an idea way better.
Andrew: i spent so much time developing my webshooters. Tom: you still use your selfmades? I have some made by tony stark. Tobey: you guys use webshooters?
You should look into the spring loaded arrow heads that open upon impact like the old reaper heads it could help with launching the plates later on. This is super cool btw.
I dont think that would work on bricks, bud. Even if the arrow could penetrate at the speed it would shoot, the plates on the sides of the head would need to be extremely powerful in order to force outwards through the stone. Although it would be an amazing idea.
I would imagine a more malleable mesh for the anchor at the end of the rope for fitting it into the tubing. Finding something that could be strong enough and malleable is gonna prove pretty difficult though. GL! Hope to see the progress. Maybe something like a origami chain mail solution? Also have you considered using like a neutral temperature adhesive and coating the mesh on the end of the rope in it?

It has always been my dream to not only build web shooters like you, but to be able to use them in the real world. How far the engineering world has come is truly incredible, and I can't believe we have come this close to being able to swing like the iconic comic book character that spiderman will always be
Have you tried experimenting with 2-part epoxies? For example, if it says 2 drops of hardener and you put in a bunch, epoxy can get *really* hot and set in seconds. Switch the cartridge for two compartments of carefully-selected sizes, and a mixing nozzle. The nozzle may quickly clog, but disposable one-off cartridges or easily replaceable nozzles could sort that.
i would suggest using small, but very sturdy hinges on the mesh plate. fold the plate inwards so when the cartridge propels the mesh and glue, it also opens up, thus sticking to the wall with the glue. just an idea
definitely worth taking another step, man. spiderman is my favorite superhero and it pleases me so much to see such talented people trying to get close to the tech that he uses on a regular basis. maybe someday, the stepping stones you're creating is what might make the actual webbing tech come to reality.
like it's a childhood dream to swing like spiderman so beeing able to create something like that, i would be in paradise!! Good work and it's really insane man!!

Totally agree.... there's so much talent out here especially our kids.....so yes web shooter challenge .... let's have fun changing the work bringing fiction to real life
You could make your anchor like a flower, with the “bud” at the front of the projectile and the petals hinged and tucked back like a slimmer shuttlecock, then you could load that in your hot glue chamber (with the glue already heated and coating the mesh) so when the projectile is fired and the bud contacts a surface, the petals would fling forward and expand outwards into your current shape. Your rope could be a slimmer wire, maybe a few platted lengths of deep sea fishing wire (rated for massive fish or possibly medium sized adults haha), set up on a spool on your belt and fed up a thin but rigid pipe to your wrist. That would be what I’d try next if I was in your shoes. I’m not a maker, just thought I’d add a different perspective
This is so amazing! I do have a suggestion on how you might be able to use one wrist for your glue cartridges and another wrist for your rope and anchor. In order to swing multiple times you would have to have a rotate-able wrist piece for multiple different anchors and ropes which would automatically rotate after the previous shot was fired and released. This would allow you to shoot the glue with one hand and the rope with the other and hold onto the rope while you swing to shoot the glue for the next rope to attach to. In order for you to be able to swing using both hands you would have to have the anchor and rope mounts on both wrists and glue mounts on both wrists which may prove problematic 😬☹️ I hope this helps out in any way!

"This character is so inspiring, and your hand is so talented. I will definitely make a video of the process of making a cement works on my channel.
"..
That is awesome! It would be so cool to see someone swinging around like Spider-Man!!
This is so inspiring! Cool seeing this become a reality!
Make sure to "stick" with it!
you really just pulled a spiderman type of joke there
Rlly bruh
im literally building a real life webshooter on my channel just posted the first episode proving it works
haha, thanks for the likes.
:/
I love this. Plz go to the next level
Hell yes! I thought this project was gonna stay on the sticky side exclusively for the next couple years but you've done it already! I'm proud of you bro!
It has always been my dream to not only build web shooters like you, but to be able to use them in the real world. How far the engineering world has come is truly incredible, and I can't believe we have come this close to being able to swing like the iconic comic book character that spiderman will always be
have you considered converting a 3d pen into a webshooter? apart from the usualstuff , you could even create objects like the 1960's animated show
Have you tried experimenting with 2-part epoxies? For example, if it says 2 drops of hardener and you put in a bunch, epoxy can get *really* hot and set in seconds. Switch the cartridge for two compartments of carefully-selected sizes, and a mixing nozzle. The nozzle may quickly clog, but disposable one-off cartridges or easily replaceable nozzles could sort that.
Absolutely loved the thought you put in. Great job!
Cool, Joel!
This guys will make the dreams come true ❤️❤️❤️
i would suggest using small, but very sturdy hinges on the mesh plate. fold the plate inwards so when the cartridge propels the mesh and glue, it also opens up, thus sticking to the wall with the glue. just an idea
You do some amazing projects! Congrats on this one!
definitely worth taking another step, man. spiderman is my favorite superhero and it pleases me so much to see such talented people trying to get close to the tech that he uses on a regular basis.
maybe someday, the stepping stones you're creating is what might make the actual webbing tech come to reality.

It REALLY IS WORTH IT!! GOOD LUCK!
You and JT are the future. I can just imagine replacing cars with web shooters to get around. Thank-you!
imagine if that actually were to happen, all the buildings would get so dirty lol

Don’t worry. The webs dissolve in about an hour so it’ll be fine.
ruclips.net/video/JfbyiPaurlM/видео.html 🕷️💜
@@multiverse_media2023 but still, if there's like thousands of people swinging around then it will pile up more than dissolve
You did it! Wow! Great work! Love your channel man!
Thanks B.Y.!
It's truly amazing the time we live in to be able to share ideas with those around the world to improve our projects
like it's a childhood dream to swing like spiderman so beeing able to create something like that, i would be in paradise!! Good work and it's really insane man!!
I love how you are getting extremely close to the real thing,I just wonder what people in the future could do.
Spiderman might exist in the future wow
Excited to see where this project goes!
Yh 3rd time will be the whole suit lol 😂
Damn, I wish you luck with this huge endeavor you stuck yourself into!
I'm looking forward to seeing where this will go!
Great job, best webshootsr on RUclips ,im totally feelin it bro. Good work .
Domino Effect Meme: the smallest domino reads "YT user @Fk_F comments on a Michael Reeves video" and the largest domino reads "The realization of Spider-Man's technology IRL"
I love it, yet I can't help but notice - each time Joel tests the web shooter you can see him make the noise the web would make 😂
Might be old Karate breathing habits lol
I'd love so much for this to become a big world event, the Web-Shooter challenge, a bunch of designing channels getting on the "let's make the spider-man web-shooter a thing and all collaborate in our own way" train to the point of having Sony/Marvel eventually officially getting involved!
One can only dream
Totally agree.... there's so much talent out here especially our kids.....so yes web shooter challenge .... let's have fun changing the work bringing fiction to real life
If Joel and Built IRL had like an actual budget they wouldn't be making web shooters but the whole Iron Spider suit
How did you learn to be such a good inventor??? This is *amazing!*
Can't wait to see where this goes, Spiderman was a large part of my childhood, so being able to swing like him would be a drama come true
That would be the most bad ass duo ever, two big heads coming together for something so Amazing, Spectacular.
2080: Everyone is spiderman because of Joel's idea. ;)

This is amazing I love the way you combine so many technologys in this web shooter design
Thanks man!
@@JoelCreates man can you make a second web shoter just like that one please that you can swing on please😢
But then wouldn’t have to hit the same exact spot twice if he’s shooting the glue and the anchor separately
That was epic, great work... The first person of the double swing looked awesome
i would love to see how far you guys can go, please continue to amaze us! 🕷️🤟🕸️
