Some people actually say this game is sus because the character is all male
Like man this game is literally made for female audiences. Girls like handsome and pretty boys, we also need a fanservice and a place to satisfy our desire of a 2d boyfriends.
Just like you boys like pretty girls, you already have way more than enough games to play. Why bother with the one and only otome RPG we have?
There are some people who said that this game is disgusting and gay, then leave a vomit reaction and say "too much dude, whoever play this is a gay" while they also play a waifu only game that has 90% of lesbian fanarts like wtf
Weebs never want to respect girls even though they have the same taste of harem just with different gender. They want all girls to be lesbians so he can stare at them and f them somehow lol
Tales of Food is an otome game, but with rpg mechanic on it. Something you don't see often. Most otome only focus on story and character route while this one has a whole combat and even pvp. I like this game, maybe even will consider as my main game. Just because I love the characters and I like the graphic. If you like husbando but bored with otome story game, this game is definitely for you!
I’m a gay boy so it’s even harder for me lol… don’t get me wrong I like the waifu ones but I don’t get excited about it the way the straight dudes do… I just think of myself as their gay best friend lol. But then it sucks cause it’s all these girl characters falling for the commander/master or whatever which is always implied to be male and kills it for me lol and then with the few husbando games the main protagonist is a girl which also ruins it for me since I can’t see myself in it since the player is always presented as female… So I’m loving this game cause it lets you chose a male or female character and the husbandos actually refer to the player as the male avatar I chose, which finally makes me feel included haha ♥️ but yes I hope more more people enjoy this game too! Because I’m loving it!🤗
uhh just a minor correction, Tale of Food isn't an otome game, there's no romance in the game from what I've seen. It's more a joseimuke rather than otome. But yeah we definitely need more husbando collectors that isn't all romance or rhythm games so I'm definitely happy we got this one! *praying helios rising heroes and yumekuro gets an eng ver next*

you successfully said all the things i have in my head, not to mention they already have a well made waifus game (all female or 95% of the characters are female) such as honkai impact, ggz, pgr, azur lane, even genshin.. like bro y'all had a whole feast while we here are starving.

The sad thing about the global edition is that English speakers can't enjoy the beautiful voices reading their storylines to you. Hopefully yall will get that audio update soon!

I Like the mechanics,and finally something different than a lot of games with only girls or like 4 boys and 50 girls for example,and the style of the game is beautiful ^^
I think this game is really interesting, if you notice there are not even a single RPG game that has all boys and if they do they're an idle game
Tales of Food is different, it has a combat and battle system as it's a classic turn base RPG but the characters are all handsome guys! I'm sold to it!
I always love collecting husbando and play RPG. However those RPGs are never have enough husbando for me, they mostly are underrated and ignored character. There are a genre called otome where it's basically a dating game but player is a female MC having a harem and date some guys, but this kind of game is just a visual novel, they only provide story and a route of each male leads.
While Tales of Food is different, it has both handsome man and RPG mechanic. Which I think is really interesting considering we don't see much otome with combat system
This is a really good game for anyone who are into husbandos and love to collect them. And yes this game is definitely made for girls. I'm glad that this kind of game exist :3
Then you don't know Tears of Themis, Mr Love Queen's Choice and Wannabe Challenge, all the 3 are otomes with a sort of turn-based combat and different settings (first law firm and crimes, 2nd tv producer and superpowers, 3rd modeling and magic creatures). Obey Me isn't romantic, but it's also full male, with devils being your friends and a real time tapping gameplay. Also, there's Nu:carnival, an NSFW yaoi turn-based RPG that caters more to women... And there's Twisted Wonderland, with turn-based battles and some rhythm levels as well... Helios Rising Heroes is another RPG, I think the English support has ended but there's a good community still playing the JP version and translating it. There's GYEE, super greedy but well done queer RPG (I think they added a couple of women lately, but it was full men). Not to mention the several rhythm games because they aren't exactly RPG.
The Tale of Food is a really great game imo, but definitely not even close to be the first one in the genre. And it's definitely not an otome, it's more of a joseimuke. That being said, I really wish there were more options.
@@DiegoPrs uhh Helios Rising Heroes never got an english localization yet lol but the game does have an english UI and an active english community so playing the game isn't that hard despite the language barrier imo

Actually there is something I’d like to bring up that you missed, that being the character designs, they do grow along with your character as you ascend them, Hu geng for instance gets wings, and along with all the other souls they transform over time as you ascend
I found out about this game through an ad and thought 'eh why not?'. The story has hooked me honestly and I fell in love with the characters only to have them taken from me almost immediately DX But I'm loving the game so far, and like others say, it is giving me Food Fantasy vibes, which I played before, and now kinda wanna get back into (if I can remember my log in) ^_^' I am liking the game so far though.

i'm still playing this game on the taiwan version but it is overall very good but I'm very happy that thety opened a global server but i think i'm gonna play both, I worked to like level 59n on the taiwan version fro like a couple years

Not a bad game surprisingly. Nothing exceptional about it either, but it isn’t bad at all. Fairly fun actually. Maybe a 6 or 7/10.
As a player who play this game, it's a really good game. Plus the language issue has been fixed as now we can change voice language. I recommend the Chinese voice. It's sooooo good!

I would say Food Fantasy is pretty fair in terms of fan service, but this game is truly unique as there aren’t that many anime RPGs that are husbando oriented.

you can set your character as male or female, the food souls will address your pronouns using the gender you choose and some dialog is also different depending on it, it caters mostly to female but male players can also have fun with it, me and several of my friends are playing it
