Thanks for sharing!! I wish I found your page sooner! I started Wegovy in November and just took my last.1 MG dose on Friday. I've lost 41 lbs so far. I have a Dr's appt next week and hopefully he'll prescribe the 1.7 and 2.4 doses. We're the same age (you look great sis) and the same height and I'm also peri menopausal.....I had horrible side effects (nausea, headache,insomnia, hot flashes, upset stomach, constipation, diarrhea) Whew!!! I was out here like a whole pepto bismal commercial!!😩😂. Thankfully they've reduced greatly and all I have are slight headaches and constipation.... Good luck on your journey sis!! You got this!

I started taking a vitamin D and omega 3 supplement in December and my hot flashes have completely stopped!! Weird right? Did you start to see more weight loss when you started the 1.0? I’m on my second 1.0 and I’m starting to see more moving. We got this sis💪🏾
Congratulations! I hope I can get down 40 pounds too. I am pre-diabetic now. My labs and liver tests were bad. I'm just trying to get healthy and keep living! Lost 7 pounds in 2 weeks.
I just started 0.25mg, first full week, going into second week. I don't feel like anything has changed. Is that normal? Appetite same. Maybe the side effects of headache and hot flashes.
For me the weight really started falling off on the 1.7 & 2.4 doses. The lower doses are to prepare your body for the transformation - lol!
I had slight nausea for which my doctor prescribed upon my request BEFORE I started the doses; however, I found that I only experienced nausea when I hadn’t eaten. I often have to force myself to eat and even then I typically can’t finish. Salt takes on a different meaning as now most foods seem to taste too salty! I also drink a lot of water!
I take my doses on Saturday and to date I’ve lost 47 pounds since August 2021. Good luck to all!

This makes perfect sense. Congratulation on your weight loss!! Thank you for sharing your updates and stats. This makes me feel very hopeful. I’m also noticing more loss since I’ve started the 1.7. Also, the salt is no joke. My body will really try to hold on to it now that I’m not eating as much. I have to do better with drinking water. Thanks again!

Thanks for sharing! I'm premenopausal and never had weight lose problems like this until now. I started Saxenda for months prior to starting Wegovy a week ago. I lost 20lbs on Saxenda and was at the highest dose. I was tired of taking a shot everyday, so sore around the stomach. My doctor put me on the 1.7 dose since I can tolerate well. It was a win to take a shot once a week. I love it! No appetite and way better all around, no symptoms but constipation so I got a prescription for that. I'm down to 174lbs. I got 24lbs more to go. We can do this!
That’s great to hear that you’ve been symptom free. I’ve been frustrated as well believing I just couldn’t lose weight because of the peri menopause. I’m very motivated finally seeing the scale move. We got this!
Hi there 😊 I also took saxenda and didn't have any success with it even on the highest dose, good to hear you lost weight from it. I am on wegovy now and it seems to be working so far. I hope it continues to work. Best wishes on your weight loss journey it can be hard but we got this 🎉

@@robyn3538hi there. I am suffering from similar things had a hysterectomy and have insulin resistance and low thyroid. I was never obese until I got older and start having these problems it does make it harder to lose weight regardless of how much you workout and diet. Hopefully these wegovy injections can help you.
I am 5'7.5 and 256 lbs. I am 44 and perimenopausal. I have a similar build to you, as I carry my weight evenly so people always think I weigh less than I do. I just went to the doctor and I am waiting for insurance approval of wegovy. So happy I found your channel. This is my 9th week on Wegovy. I just started 1mg on Sunday. I started at .25mg for 4 weeks, moved to .50mg for 4 weeks and now on 1mg. A disclosure for those interested in Wegovy is that not everyone has side effects on Wegovy. I am one of those folks who has not had any side effects. I have only lost 6 pounds in 9 weeks on the loading doses while my body is getting use to Wegovy before the true dosage of 2.4mg. I think those who have side effects are the ones who are losing a lot of weight during the loading dosages of Wegovy (.25, .50. 1, 1.7) I am looking forward to reaching my weight loss goal on Wegovy. I wish you much success on your weight loss journey.

I have not had any side effects either. I am definitely not hungry. I get full quickly.
I am moving to 0.50 mg next Thursday. My scale isn’t really moving but I’m definitely losing inches. I walk 2-2.5 miles per day since starting Wegovy 3 weeks ago. I’m hoping to see the scale move when I start the 0.50 dose.

How are you doing now? I just took my 3rd shot and barely down 3 pounds. I have recently had my Tom and some work stress so I’m hoping this changes soon. After watching so many people on this, it seems that more black people lose weight slower at each stage. Results vary but it’s an observation I have noticed over my research.
Thank you for doing this! I just took my 2nd injection and I agree with everything you said. I am pre-diabetic and have elevated blood pressure. I am 55, 279 pds and in full menopause. I am in the process of divorce, moving to another state and emotional eating was RIDICULOUS!! I have high hopes for this product. I had the "ghost" headache with my first injection, also a feeling of fullness. 2nd injection, I haven't had any noticeable issues, I make sure I'm eating a small but balanced meal and drink lots of water (I have a water reminder) I haven't weighed myself yet but I was able to put on a pair of high waisted leggings that hurt my tummy months ago, now there is no discomfort at all!

I’ve just turned 24 last week but over the past two years I’ve gained about 80 pounds. I have now reached my highest weight of 241.5 lbs. it’s been a rollercoaster of failed diets and lost motivation. I spoke to my doctor about it and she recommended Wegovy for weight loss management. Thank you for sharing. I’m going to say yes to her recommendation and try this out!

I'm on wegovy. Lost 20 lbs without even trying. Now plateau has hit. Although I've been lazy all around (got covid then the flu and wegovy made me feel sicker). Anyway came here to see your journey but stopped the video to tell you - you're so beautiful!
How long did it take you to lose the 20 lbs if you don’t mind me asking?
@@kimberlythomas3123 5 months. August 10 to January 18. Now I'm still at plateau. But it's very hard for me to count calories which always works for me. I have 2 little ones and a busy job schedule.

Ty for sharing. This is my first week. The second night after injecting myself the side effects was abdominal pain, broke out in a sweat, faint, nausea, tired, I thought I was going to die. I’m afraid of the second dose. But I must say, it curved my craving instantly. I’m praying for the best.
How has it been going in the 2 months since you posted? If you still have nausea, ask your dr for an RX to Zofran....
I just picked my Wegovy up today from the pharmacy. I am 5’0 tall and weigh 261. I’m pre diabetic and I have heart issues and I’m to the point I will eventually need knee replacement surgery also. I’m hoping that my journey will be successful and I can loose the weight. My goal is to loose 75-80 pounds. Thank you for sharing your weight loss journey and for your encouragement! ❤️

Hey Lisa I too am 5ft 1 and about 240. This is far too much weight for our frame! I have Kaiser and they would not cover it but did prescribe it. It was $1600 dollars😮 I foud a coupon that made it $800 but that is still not manageable for me. I pray these insurance companies work this out. I will take my first dose this week. Wishing us both well! I'm following Cedas journey and she is so motivating! ❤
I have been on Ozempic, a lower dose of Wegovy (Semaglutide) and lost 37 lb. It has been fantastic about 20% of my body weight in approximately 8 months. I hope it works for everybody! I felt exactly like you did. I had just gradually gained weight and could not lose it. But now I could not be happier 50 years old and my ideal weight. Please feel free to ask me any questions. I had some pretty significant stomach upset in the beginning but stuck through it and I'm so glad I did. Good luck everyone.

I just injected my third dose Saturday. I have slight nausea if I don’t eat. My doctor told me to eat eat small portions throughout the day. I have lost 4 lbs in two weeks. I’m 55. Let’s do this!!
That’s great! That’s great advise. I think I’ve been going too long between meals, that’s when I start to notice some nausea as well.
I'm starting at the end of the month my birthday. I'll be 55 yrs old too and I gotta say I'm very nervous about this!!👀👀 The side effects is what might throw me. Lordyyyyyyy!!
I was concerned about that as well. My understanding is that’s why the dose is so low to start with in order to prepare your body for the bigger doses. Slow and gradual.
We sound very similar- age and height and starting weight. I’m a tad older, weigh 255 and am taller. My blood panel showed pre-diabetic too. I’ll be starting w Wegovy soon after my follow- up dr appt. Thank you for sharing all of this! It is very helpful! I don’t really trust “FDA Approval” but I’m to the point I’m willing to risk it bc I cannot lose weight- and I work out consistently weekly!
We are in the same boat. I am 54. Been on it two weeks. Already down 9 pounds. Clothes loose. Have a sonogram scheduled for my liver. Doc wants to make sure it is Ok. Pre-diabetic too.

Omg! I was so tired too. Thank God I had the week off from work. I actually thought it was because of my increased blood pressure medication. Bad labs. Horrible. So bad that the Dr. ordered a sonogram of my liver. I am on week 3 on Wednesday, down 7 pounds. My appetite is decresased drastically. Went out to dinner and nothing really tasted good so I didn't eat much. My Dr. said I need to walk 1 hour a day. I started at 20 minutes working up to 3x a day. I feel alot better. I'm 54 at 256 and 5 foot 4.
Sounds like you are heading in the right direction. The fatigue can be brutal! You got this!
I’m exhausted too this my second week how long does the being tired and weak last ?
So glad I found this video!! I just completed my first month and I can really feel and tell the difference. I did get really sick after my first injection but that was the only time. Now I just experience heartburn and the constipation. It is very expensive luckily my insurance is covering it at 100% after obtaining authorization

Thank you for sharing your journey. I just took my first injection today. I hardly felt it, I was like did it go in lol. We'll see if I get the side effects. I rarely get nauseous so I hope I don't with this. Im at the largest I've ever been, 260 at 5'2. My problem has always been overeating so really hoping this will help cut my appetite.
I believe you’ll definitely see the reduction in your appetite. It’s pretty amazing how our brain works with this medication. Good luck on your journey. Looking forward to hearing about your progress.

@@vivs2167 I went to an Endocrinologist but there is a shortage on Wegovy right now so you might not get to try it for awhile. I hope you can try it!
@@kaira504 sorry! I never got a notification about your comment. Yes I have had success! Been on it since Jan 5 and lost 35lbs. Slow but I will take it! I have hashimotos and PCOS. Side effects have been minimal with the worst of them being in the first few months. There's a shortage on wegovy but hope you are able to get it once that improves. I had it prescribed by my endocrinologist

If you are answering all the questions and concerns I have. The recent video when you said you lost 22lbs…I was so excited for you and me:-).
For anyone who is having issues with peri menopause and menopause symptoms please consider hormone replacement therapy I never really experienced any of the symptoms of menopause because I got on HRT right away. It was the best decision I ever made. Also my friend went on wegovy for weight Loss and she’s very happy.
I am so happy to see all of us unite in our weight loss on these types of drugs. I was on mounjaro until the insurance and drug companies decided I couldn’t have it unless I was diabetic or wanted to pay $1167 a month for it. It helped me lose 60lbs over the course of 5 months. I was finally approved for Saxenda which is a precursor to Wecovy. As I was starting my loading doses I was not as successful as I was on Mounjaro but now I am starting to see results again. I know the struggle of menopause and losing weight so I am sending out positive vibes to all on this journey!! We are strong! We are powerful! We are WOMEN! Hugs and much love to you all ❤
I definitely have a little more energy than what I have had, other than sleeping the day away on my injection day.
My first week I lost 5lbs and I felt like crying cause I feel like it wasn't good enough that I could have done better.
I am prediabetic as well along with insulin resistant.
I'm trying to drink water throughout the day but I find myself hardly drinking for most of the day, I have to try to force myself to drink water. I feel when it's cold months I don't get real thirsty as I do during the hot months.
The fatigue Is definitely no joke, I will say that.
Comfort eating was always my thing 😮 Now I cook and cook at home and haven't ordered food for me. The thing I am obsessed with an eat everyday is Avacados. I have to find food that will work for me and create a healthy meal menu and I think that would help me a little more, along with light exercises. Your videos are definitely helpful and I'm so happy I found them 💜
You can do it niece, you’ve been dealing with a lot and it’s stressful but God will give you what you need to carry on🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾love you

I have all of the three dosage such as yourself the 0.25, 0.5, 1.0. oh so excited and anxious I literally started up on receiving a package today at 6:15 on Thursday. Prefer to start tomorrow morning but once again couldn't wait. So based off of taking the shot approximately 3 hours ago I am so sleepy. Hi Kenneth! That was my experience as well when I first started! I was so excited, I took it as soon as it arrived. I got incredibly sleepy. I now take the weekly dose in the evening before bed.
So I just did my first injection yesterday. You were right about the sleepiness. Besides that so far so good. Now let me bone watch your other videos. Thank you for this!

Waiting on my insurance to approve. I have anthem too. But my endocrinologist wants me to start this to lose weight to hopefully help my high blood pressure and cholesterol. Thank you so much for making this video.

I started Wegovy last week and my first week - I was tired, nauseous and bloated. I am already bloated daily, but to top it off I gained 3.8lbs. OMG depressing, but 2nd week - double OMG - the bloat, indigestion, etc - nausea was SO BAD. on Tuesday - I burped so bad - 8am to 9pm - if burps had a weight I would have lost 3lbs. I never have indigestion, but that was pretty horrible and I am happy to admit - 10 days in - I lost those 3.8lbs that I gained the 1st week and lost another lb as of this morning. We will see how it goes - I will be posting about my journey as well. Subscribe to see my results. I am 5'2 184lbs (183 this morning) and 32 BMI.

Im pretty much the exact height and weight as you when you started.
@@lizbelli8287 my symptoms didn’t and they got worse. I was projectile vomiting and life was very hard for me on wegovy, I’m on ozempic, now and yes it is semiglutide based- but less semiglutide per injection than wegovy.
@@KellyLynnTGS wow thats awful! I guess you really never know how the symptoms will be until you try it. I hope you have success with Ozempic! I am do tired of being this weight. I would be even be happy to get to 150lbs but I think with our height 135/140 is considered healthy.
I started Wegovy 2 weeks ago, so far so good, only side effect is mild constipation. I'll keep you posted ☺️

Thank you so much for sharing this. I met with my family doctor yesterday and I was shocked to see that I have gained 10 pounds - I never want to weigh myself! I’m 5’9” and at 301 pounds. I’m on many medications for migraines, Chiari issues, and depression. I am an active person and regularly workout!
I had a total hysterectomy 8 years ago and I’m 43 years old.
My provider prescribed me this medication and I am going to begin taking it this Friday. Fingers crossed!

I have peri menopause and the hot flashes are ridiculous and my husband really catches the back lashes of my attitude plus I’m 195lbs and 5’0 never been this big and my bones really feeling it. I’m eating things I’ve never eaten before like pork sooo much. I really don’t like it anymore it makes me sick thinking about it😂 I need to get to the gym and relieve this stress I’m helping taking care of my father he’s doing beautiful now thank Granny od, now I must take care of myself I also take the shot for asthma(dupixent), it helps a lot I’m thankful for it.

This was great! Thank you! I am on the path to bariatric surgery, but my Nutritionist referred me to the Medical Weight Loss team to see if there was something they can do. My surgeon wants me to lose a little weight before my surgery. They gave me a sample of the Ozempic to see if that would help. I'm very hopeful! I've never tried medications for weight loss before, so this is exciting. Like you, I'm of a certain age (I'm a few years older than you, but still in the same bracket) and it seems like over the last couple of years I just can't get the scale to budge - no matter what I do. I've had the workup and though I'm of age, I'm not in menopause. My thyroid is fine. There doesn't seem to be any medical explanation for why I can't lose the weight. I'm super-excited to see if this medication will help!

As you started to lose weight, where did it fall from first? I am hoping that my stomach will reduce, my upper belly is my biggest problem ughhh. Fortunately I am tall and can carry a bit of weight but (5’9” currently 221) if my stomach reduces giving me more of a waist that would be great. But I haven’t really heard people talk about where they notice the weight falling from. If you have a video discussing this or just have some guidance re your experience that would be great

Thank you for making this video! The before photos have helped and your story is very similar to mine. I'm just a few years younger (41). But I have prediabetes, perimenopause and tye weight has gradually increased. My Dr recommended wegovy and I wanted to hear others and their journey. I am feeling a little better about getting on it! I also weight train and workout all the time. So with my diet, exercise and help with Wegovy, I'm hoping this will help with my weight-loss journey!! Blessings to you!!

Everything you said about yourself is me. I'm 47, 234 lbs and perimenopausal. And I try to eat not totally right but better. I have these cravings that I never seemed to have before and I can seem to lose 10lbs. But then I plateau. I'm going to talk to my doctor about this next week. I hope it helps. I'm not looking for miracle weight loss I wanna be under 200 again. I can feel the weight in my joints now and I don't like it. Thank for the insight.
Hi Marsha! Our stories are soooo similar. It’s really frustrating to have our bodies working against us! I’ve been doing a lot of research in perimenopause and realized that water retention is a huge factor in our plateaus. I’m really thinking about doing a series on this on the channel for us.

Thank you so much for watching! I’ve discovered that those symptoms that you mentioned were symptoms of my blood sugar dropping too low. I’ve started eating something sweet like an apple or a peanut butter snack to bring it up and it goes away.

We decided this one would be a good choice for me. I'm really nervous about needles. Thanks for showing what the pen looks like. It helps get rid of some of my fears. @@ChiChi-vl1sx hi! Yes I ordered several times successfully from Canada. It cost about $300 a month. I took it for 5 months and lost 35 lbs.
I've been taking Ozempic for the past 8 months, I wanted to move up doses to 1.0 but my insurance only covered higher doses of wegovy, which it's usually the opposite lol. They're the exact same medication like you said, yes, but it's interesting. I'm starting at 1.0 the other day for my insulin resistance, not weight loss specifically. Love watching these videos, very informative!! Though, it works with insulin output and conversion as well, not just those other two, that's why it works soooo well for insulin resistance and pcos, which I've had sinse I was 9, I'm 29 now.

Thanks. At first I was scared due to the complaints of gastrointestinal side effects but hey we got tot do what we got to do. You said the same things I did. I never had a weight problem until perimenopause. Waiting on my prescription and taking notes for a better weight loss journey. My goal is to get to my recommended BMI of 145 lbs, get off pills for diabetes, and autopap cpap. I don’t even remember being that size but here goes.

I've been looking for more personal experience videos such as yours! I Want to lose about 20-30 lbs so, my Dr prescribed Ozempic for me. I'm 5'7" and fluctuate around 165-175lbs but my goal weight is 140-145 lbs. I don't have a lot of weight to lose compared to others, however I'm a paraplegic who uses a wheelchair so keeping my weight down to trasfer & maneuver myself around is important. My insurance denied coverage so as a self-pay patient, I'm doing as much research as possible before I bite the bullet. Thank you so much for this video!

I’m 50, menopause, 5’7” , 247 nothing has worked. I am at the gym 5 days a week and totally squishy with pre diabetic. Took first shot today. Nausea hit hard.

yes I did. I had no appetite and dry mouth and a killer migraine for about three days.
I took my second on Wednesday and had no real problems just a few body aches and joint pain but I have lots of energy.
That’s great! I remember taking Tylenol before the injection to ward off any incoming headaches. I’m so happy you’re on your way!

Thanks for this video! My doctor started me on Metformin a month ago and I have lost weight but he suggested Wegovy at my follow up visit yesterday. The thought of needles turns me off but I am looking at all options so I can be healthy.

Was really happy with my doctor though. I’m short 5 2… 230. And on the line to pre diabetes. So I wanna kick it. Also a lot of familial history of diabetes.

Okay. I have dieted my entire adult life. But, for the past 20 years, I have been 'scolded' by doctors who told me about my 'drinking'. But, I do not drink. On a blood test I discovered why a Doctor stopped therapy with a drug for my dry skin. My liver values were very high, as if I had been drinking a ton of Vodka every day for weeks! All I had been doing was 'fasting and exercise', and no, I never lost any weight.
Sadly the liver value thing is something called 'Gilbert's Syndrome' nothing you can do, no cure, it just 'happens' oh yes its hereditary...
Then I keyed in Weight loss and liver values. Guess what? Direct correlation between Lp(a), heart disease AND weight GAIN! Also, some patients actually go into something called 'Insulin Resistance' and or Diabetes type II. So, I guess Wegovy would work for me.
Ok I’m definitely scheduling my appointment tomorrow lol and hopefully my insurance covers it!

Peri menopause! Try post Menopause. But I’m not going to take meds away from Diabetics. Nope. I have to exercise and eat well. Try that- it works. I’m 65. You have no idea what the long term effects are. They warn of thyroid tumors and pancreatic problems. Good luck.
Thank you for your comment. I would like to point out that this medication is not intended for diabetics that would be the brand name Ozempic which is specifically formulated for diabetics. This is formulated specifically for weight loss. You are correct, as with any drug there are some potential dangers to be aware of.
I just took my first dose yesterday. I’m 27, 5’6.5” and 212lbs and climbing. Feeling nauseous 24 hrs post (.25) shot. Have a bad headache and cotton mouth like no other. I also smoke the mary j which could explain the weight gain and the cotton mouth.
Did you feel fatigued as well? I just started getting a bit of dry mouth.

Hi Natalie! Thank you! The side effects seem to be hit and miss for a lot of people. Some are fortunate not to have any. Although, I had side effect they were manageable and not enough to keep me from taking the dose. I found out it was just approved in Canada, but it is not yet for sale, I'm hoping that changes very soon. It truly is a journey with highs and lows. There is also Trulicity which has great results as well, I'm not certain if you have to be diabetic to take it but I don't think so. Hope this helps!

It could take a minute depending on how your body prefers to lose weight. I tend to lose inches first and the weight comes off slow!!! Ugh
