I was on wegovy for 9 months with about 6 week break when there was shortage of doses and I had COVID. Now I have hit my goal of 35lb loss. I lost weight very slow 3 to 5 lbs month. I stayed on . 25 2 months then . 5 and 1. I never got off 1. I had nausea which is why I stayed low dose. I started taking my shots every 2 weeks instead of every week for last 2 months and I don't take anymore. My cravings for sugar haven't returned and I don't binge eat anymore. I continue to lose inches because of lifestyle changes I made the last 9 months. I quit processed foods, fast foods and alcohol. They are only occasional instead of staple things in my diet. My A1C is out of prediabetic, my cholesterol is down to 175 from 215. My blood pressure meds had to be cut in half because I had too low BP. I still have hypoglycemic episodes occasionally but giving up alcohol helped that. You have to make lifestyle changes and stick to them. Thank you so much for helping me with my wegovy journey
I’m starting Wegovy this week ! I’ve gained so much weight in the past few years because of menopause. It was very hard to lose it on my own. I needed a little help. Wish me luck 🍀
I am starting Wegovy this week too, for the first time. Also in menopause... Good luck to everyone. Ceda, you are the best. I really appreciate everything you've shared with us.
Love your input in all your videos. I will be taking my 4th shot tomorrow of the 0.25. I have been extremely nauseous. I bought some ginger chews which seem to help. I have noticed that after taking the shot, I’m extremely tired. It last for about a day. But have been managing. I have lost 6 lbs so far. Hopefully symptoms get better.
I agree with you, concerning Any meds that you take first of all, you have to know your own body, and how your body reacts to things, and if you’ve been off for a little while you start back with a lower dose because your body can go into shock And you will get sick, and you really have to communicate with your doctor make him or her listen 👂🏿 and you also have to remember that you are paying them you don’t allow them just to tell you anything, a lot of people make these mistakes they forget that the doctors work for them, You don’t work for them , they work for you, your insurance is paying them to take care of you and you don’t just let them say anything to you. Of course you have to be polite treat someone the way you want them to treat them but you have to remember your doctors work for you it’s OK to speak up, and you don’t just listen to everything they say , I don’t treat them like they’re gods ! they’re people just like you ! And believe me, some of the doctors, do not like when people treat them like gods, and of course, some do some have a problem with being godlike, because they see so many people when they do surgeries get better, and when the surgery can hold your heart in the hand at that moment, they are in control of your life because you put your trust in them to do a surgery and because of that some have a sense of empowerment and that’s why some of them at God like, but they’re not gods there people just like you and I ! and some people think they can never make a mistake !! you must know your own body stay in tune with your own body you must know your body pay attention to your body. If something is not right, make them listen, you should never allow them to just give you anything and say anything, it’s OK for you to speak up. Don’t be intimidated and afraid of them , remember, this is your body. This is your money that you given them for your body, we know they’re a doctors, but they’re practicing medicine, and I appreciate doctors don’t give me wrong, but you must also be an advocate for yourself, be polite of them, because they’re a human too, but you have to remember at all times you are in control. This is your body and you are paying them to help you take care of yourself, but a lot of times they have so many patients that sometimes they forget that you are human too, so make them listen to you if something is not right in your body and you sensing something is wrong make them listen don’t let them just tell you anything or push any pills down your throat, you are paying them to take care of you, so, therefore, at that moment you are the boss, do not be intimidated to talk to them! And do not feel intimidated to say no I don’t think that is right for my body. I think that is too strong 💪🏾 Can you lower the dose and give me lower milligrams? It’s OK to say that remember you are in control this is your body you are paying them. They are not paying you to come and they’re not the boss of your body. You are of course we talk to them with respect the same way they should talk to you too and make them talk to you with respect do not let them talk down to you if you don’t understand something, make them explain it in Laymans terms but whatever you do remember do not allow them to intimidate you and stop just going in there thinking they can just say anything to you and I’m serious about this! I’ve had to stand up to many of doctors and tell them wait a minute explain it correctly and explain it in Laymans terms so I can understand couldn’t you talk above someone’s head and you know they don’t understand what you’re saying that’s inconsiderate and rude and it’s as ignorance on their part, and I have no problem, telling them that, so therefore, my doctor Have nothing but respect for me and I have respect for her because I’ll tell her in a minute break it down to me better than that and get off your high horse because no one‘s going to talk down to me that happened with me once with one doctor and yes, I did put him in his place , but they do that because people allow them to their afraid of their own doctor, and that is ridiculous. They’re working for you , and, like I said, of course, we talk to them with respect the same way they should talk to us make them respect you ! Sorry for the small book 📖 lol 😂 , but when I hear something like that, a doctor overdose a patient and didn’t consider or take the time to think before they gave her medication, and if the milligrams for too strong for her body it just pisses me off ! Bless her heart, she didn’t understand you make them listen to you and tell them no if you have to it’s OK to do that ! 😍👩🏾🦲🥰
Your video is so helpful I just watched a couple of them. I’m starting the same injection that you’re on today and I’m very excited so that’s why I’m following you. Good luck on your journey. God bless you beautiful woman.
Just finished my first injection i lost about 7 lbs and i finally got a natural cycle due to my pcos its be absent. combining it with keto helped with the loss also.
Hi!! Came across your video while trying to remember how to give myself the injection. As a diabetic that is already taken insulin daily… it was so helpful. Thank you for sharing your tips… it means the world for us #Baddies ❤
Hi you look great! I lost my weight slow as well, it was like 1 to 2lbs a wk and so far I've lost a total of 45lbs! I'm on the maintenance dose and one symptom I noticed is headache for about a day or two after the shot.
I am so grateful to have found your recent video since I am starting with semiglutide. It has given me valuable info so I wont freak out if it happens like hair loss and fatigue. Besides the great info I just wanted to say you look absolutely fabulous, your make up is beautiful and your eyes amazing, they just pop!!!! Best of luck! Yes its long term and should help me with insulin resistance and cravings.
If you're only going to food prep one thing, "salad in a jar" is the one! There are tons of recipes out there. My suggestion is to find a salad combination you like and prepare several based on recipes out there, BUT don't add protein to the jars, add the protein at the time you eat it. That way you can add whatever you're in the mood for and have on hand.
I'm really happy that I found your channel. You do a great job. A friend just told me about Wegovy and I'd like to try it. I'm 71, 5 ft. tall and weigh 156. Losing weight has been impossible. I'm active and really eat well but have a sugar addiction so I do think this could help me. I'm going to make an apt. to talk to my PA and see what she says. The one thing that scares me is I have a sensitive stomach and the thought of nausea really scares me. Because of that, what dose should I start on and how often do you all suggest I stay before I increase? I'm trying to get as much information before I talk to her. Oh, I'm on Medicare so I know it won't be covered. I'm traveling to Mexico in a week and know I can buy it there if I need to. I'm sure the cost will be less. I appreciate any information!
Hi! I'm glad I found your channel! My doctor just told me today she's putting in a prior-auth for me to start wegovy soon... and the only thing that slightly worried me is my depression. Hearing that you had struggled with depression prior to starting leads me to believe that the fatigue is likely from increased depression? One of the reasons I can't take birth control is the hormones mess me up, and I noticed in the info on the wegovy site it says this medication works by altering something with hormones. At least seeing your videos have me prepared for what could realistically happen. Thank you for sharing your experience!
I just wanted to mention that way before Wegovy etc, IF a person lost allot of weight quickly they could definitely get the more hollow looking face.etc. Especially if you were a bit older. But it had to do with the quick weight loss NOT the wieght loss product! It sounds ridiculous to me to hear some entities blaming Semaglutide for this effect. IT's always been an affect of quick weight loss as long as I can remember and I'm a grandmother. But it doesn't happen to everyone.
I heard in another video that saggy face and butt is from 1. Fast weight loss, but also 2. Not eating enough protein. INCREASE Protein foods, perhaps add a protein powder/ smoothy.
I also started Wegovy for the first time. I wanted my doctor to start me on a higher dose but she informed me that my body could reject the medicine. I'm on my 3rd week. I have had a slight headache and constipation.
I have a consult with my doctor on Monday to start. I have been stuck at my weight since having my 3rd child 2.5 years ago. I know being in my 30s is a big part of it. I love your videos and you provide so much information. I just hope I don't have any issues with my insurance. They did mention I need a prior auth. Blessings on your journey! I will be following!
I’m on Anthem Blue Cross, and my doctor has had me on phentermine because it’s cheap, but I know I’ve got a ways to go, and I have serious eating issues. Did a blood test and turns out I’m perfectly fine just morbidly obese. Does anyone know how I can go about getting my insurance to approve Wegovy? Or is my situation a lost cause.
Wegovy is covered with prior authorization for Anthem. Do a Google search for: Prior Authorization Wegovy Anthem "your state". If you have a copay, the manufacturer also provides a coupon to reduce it to $0 (so I save $60/mth for 12 months). My doctor submitted the pa to Anthem today, and they approved it within 2 minutes.
Bahaha!!! Sorry… but literally the first few seconds of your video I literally busted out laughing! I watch those “meal prep” videos too… but don’t do it! Lol… ok sorry about that… now back to your video 😉 ADD ON: ok I watched the rest THANK YOU for sharing your info! Very helpful and you make it fun. So about food prepping… I get it. It makes sense in theory. But I have the kind of personality I may or may not even want to eat what I prepped. I change my mind often. And when my gf’s at work would ask in the mornings “where do you wanna go to lunch later”… my reply is usually I have no clue till it’s time. So what f I don’t know day of what I wanna eat… how would I know DAYS of? 🤷♀️ But hey! Cool for the ones it works for! ❤️
Oh wow! I can understand that. That’s the reason I had to stop drinking the protein shakes. They were causing crazy acne. Ive never taken the b12 injections only the supplements and luckily I’ve not had any issues especially being acne prone.
Hey! New sub after the first video of yours I happened across while looking for info about Wegovy. I've watched quite a few older, as well as more recent visits since that one. You look beautiful, btw. 😊 Question for ya- Are the contacts you're wearing some of the ones by 4Kyra? If not, or if so, I'm curious what they're called? They're gorgeous and compliment you in many ways. Thank you in advance! 🤞🏻 I'll be able to try Wegovy myself at some point. I guess I have another question: Who may be the best to see in regard to prescribing the medication (if I'm a good candidate)? I'm curious if a specialist of some sort is best, PC Doc, someone who works more with women's bodies in particular, a nutritionist, or weight management center? I don't know where to start, and I'm pretty sure my doc would be too lazy to go to bat for me with the insurance and I also imagine him being the "just exercise and eat right" type 🙄
Hi everyone I just found out that as of January 1st 2023 wegovy is no longer covered under my insurance so they said I could switch to Saxenda. Is anyone familiar with that shot? And have you had success with it?
I tried Saxenda for about 2 months and it didn't work for me BUT everyone is different. I joined multiple Facebook groups and it seemed like it was working for the majority of people there. So since it didn't work me, I'm going to try Wegovy.
It’s no problem at all! We’re here to learn and help each other😃. The doses are set to introduce your body slowly to the medications to help prevent crazy side effect. You may or may not see the appetite suppressant effect until you’ve had a couple of injections.
Any tips for Wegovy affecting sleep? I've had the worst sleep since Tuesday(the day I took it)It was my first dose. I can fall asleep but I'm waking up every 1-3 hrs. It's ridiculously affecting my mood.
I originally tried to get it from Walgreens who said it was on back order, then went over to CVS in Target where they were able to fill it. You can call around to different pharmacies and check.
I just restarted Wegovy on Saturday after regaining about 15 pounds in 6 months. It’s been terribly hard to keep my weight off. I noticed so far that I am just super thirsty . We will see how it goes. Any advise is greatly appreciated!
Thank you ceda for sharing your new journey. I've been watching your videos for a while. I've been on my wegovy journey since April 2022 and in December my insurance stopped covering it. So my doctor tried to appeal it and they still denied it. I was taking a half dose of 1.7mg because I was having severe side effects of nausea and fatigue. Also i had to jump from .5 to 1.7mg because they were out of the 1mg and my body couldn't handle the high dosage. Ihanger lost 45lbs since starting though the side effects have been killer. Just curious, I'm going to go back to your older videos and check but in a future video would you share again what vitamins you are taking now besides the 1 a day? BTW my doctor suggested I get a b12 shot as he had another patient on wegovy and was having great results by getting weekly b12 shots so I'm gonna try that too. Good luck on your new journey keep up the excellent work!
Found the video about vitamins. It's at the end of "what I wish I knew before starting wegovy" if anyone wants to reference that. It's very helpful. Thank you, Ceda.
@Renée Brandenburg doctor said once a month for me because I take 5000mcg sublingual tablets once per day Otherwise if you don't take the tablets the b12 shot should be weekly and most insurances cover it for health reasons especially if you are on wegovy or a weight loss medicine.
I lost so much of my hair . I'm ready to go to the barber and completely shave it all. Do you know when this will stop or should stop taking this injection wegovy
@martinemeleance1609 Yes I think you should stop it for awhile to confirm that it is thr shot that is causing the hair loss just incase there's a chance that its something else that could be the cause.
I’ve been on it for 2 months and just noticed this week that my hair is coming out ALOT! I’m due to take my shot tonight but wasn’t sure if I should or if the Wegovy was the actual cause since I’m also taking estradiol as well for peri menopause. It could also be a reaction from taking them both together. So I’m stopping both tonight to see if these meds together is causing the hair loss. I too take a multivitamin and biotin daily, even before starting on Wegovy and I’m experiencing hair loss, so that’s not working. I’m not taking another shot until I figure out if it is the cause. Besides, I haven’t lost not 1 pound since I’ve been on Wegovy, which sucks! 😢

I have just started the highest dose of Wegovy 2.4 and I am experiencing migraines. I always deal with migraines, but I am usually able to manage them. Since my dosage has been raised they have been occurring way more than usual. Is this a normal side effect? Thank you so much for your videos!!
Hi there.., I’m one week in and I suffer from migraines. On Ubrelvy but I have taken Aleve when I feel a headache come on… but she is right… drink electrolytes.8!drink Alkaline water… and it’s been helping!
I originally tried to get it from Walgreens who said it was on back order, then went over to CVS in Target where they were able to fill it. You can call around to different pharmacies and check.
I was in the same situation. Insurance changed in December couldn't get Wagovy any longer as it's not covered. But my insurance does cover Saxenda so I just started that 4 weeks ago. Scale hasn't changed yet but slow and steady wins the race... right?! LOL
I lost 20 lbs in the 9 weeks I’m at the halfway mark of what is suggested. But the last two weeks I haven’t lost anything. Is that normal part of the process ?
If you’re not eating a lot of protein (.75g to 1g per pound of body weight) while on it than you’re likely losing a good amount of muscle with the fat. Less muscle means slower to lose weight amongst other issues. If you’re not already add in some weight lifting 3 times per week and get lots of protein. You will be amazed at how much better you lose and later how much better you keep it off.
@@LooksByCeda woah that’s amazing; that gives me hope. I just received mines a few days ago but Was hesitant to take it after doing more research .. I’m afraid for when I get off this medication in the future that I will gain the weight back & plus . They say happens to almost everyone that stops
Hello, I went and picked up my second month supply of Wegovy and it was another 0.25 package. Should I take the 0.25 or request the 0.50? I haven't been able to talk to the doctor or pharmacy. Any ideas would be appreciated. Do you think it would delay the weight loss? Thanks.
I definitely think you should let your doctor know that you need to move up. I saw that CVS was prepared to fill the same dose again and reached out to my doctor who sent over a change. Good luck to you. Also, if you have access to MyChart you can send your doctor a message or let the nurse know.
@@LooksByCeda Thank you. Yes, it is CVS and I already picked up the medicine but didn't notice the 0.25 until I was back home. I did contact my doctor and them are going to call the pharmacy. I will let you know how things turn out in case someone else has this issue.
Chris if you are seeking results and need help it doesn't hurt to try. I have been on it now for 11 month and have lost 96 lbs. My side effects wasn't severe nor unbearable. Once your body has gotten use to the med you will be okay. If not, do not continue seek other alternatives. I did stay cold a lot while on the 2.4mg dose
this my 2nd week. My side effects been rough. But that’s cuz I’m not eating as much as I’m supposed to. I was diagnosed with mild PCOS and that’s why my dr recommended wegovy. Since weight gain will make the PCOS worst. And can lead to diabetes. I was also recommended by my doctor to take prenatal vitamins for my low iron. And that dose help with hair grow. So something I’ll be trying.

Protein deficiency is the reason for the hair loss... so try your best to get as much protein in possible.
Came here to say this
When you are on this medication/dieting or whatever we need to prioritize our protein intake.
I’m getting ready to start my 3rd week and I’ve lost around 4 to 5 lbs! Thanks for sharing your journey!
You’re so welcome. Thanks for watching. That’s great progress!
Which dosage?
I am starting Wegovy this week too, for the first time. Also in menopause... Good luck to everyone. Ceda, you are the best. I really appreciate everything you've shared with us.

If i had a necklace, I'd be doin' this...😂🙌😂🙌
When you stopped did you gain the weight back? Please do another update on your current weight loss.
Thankfully I did not gain any weight back during the time I was off of Wegovy. Since I’ve restarted, the weight is coming off again.
Hi there… I have anthem and they just approved me last week… try calling them again or have Dr submit a medically needed.
Check your formulary. Anthem dropped Wegovy for a while and then added out if the blue. I just happened to check and it was there.
@@LooksByCeda I checked on my insurance app. Still not covered. But I am on Ozempic with prior authorization
Bahaha!!! Sorry… but literally the first few seconds of your video I literally busted out laughing! I watch those “meal prep” videos too… but don’t do it! Lol… ok sorry about that… now back to your video 😉
ADD ON: ok I watched the rest THANK YOU for sharing your info!
Ikr! It’s relaxing to watch but to put it into practice is another thing all together lol!

Good afternoon! My insurance will not approve wegovy or ozempic, even with a PA from my doctor. Any suggestions?
Canadian Pharmacy
DAM GIRL YOU LOOK AWESOME.
Thank you!
I just had my first dosage delivered. I will do my first injection on tonight. Yeahhhh me!!
How are you feeling Marsha?
Girl, the B12 injections made me break out BAD!! My dr took me off of the B12 and the acne cleared up in a week
Question for ya- Are the contacts you're wearing some of the ones by 4Kyra?
Hello Melinda how are you doing today?
I tried Saxenda for about 2 months and it didn't work for me BUT everyone is different. I joined multiple Facebook groups and it seemed like it was working for the majority of people there.
So since it didn't work me, I'm going to try Wegovy.
sorry for bothering you....i took my 1st shot yesterday..approx how long does it take to kick in...still pretty hungry...thx for your help
It’s no problem at all! We’re here to learn and help each other😃. The doses are set to introduce your body slowly to the medications to help prevent crazy side effect. You may or may not see the appetite suppressant effect until you’ve had a couple of injections.
@@LooksByCeda thanks so much.....andy from new york
Any tips for Wegovy affecting sleep? I've had the worst sleep since Tuesday(the day I took it)It was my first dose. I can fall asleep but I'm waking up every 1-3 hrs. It's ridiculously affecting my mood.
Melatonin
Hey Ceda
Love your look sis.
My doctor prescribed, but it’s back ordered for months now. How/where did you get your Wegovy?
I originally tried to get it from Walgreens who said it was on back order, then went over to CVS in Target where they were able to fill it. You can call around to different pharmacies and check.
Hey Ceda
You came through AGAIN!!! CVS filled it. Walgreens never could find it. SMH 🤦♀️ it’s been months
Aye!!!! That’s great🎉 I’m so happy for you☺️
started today. looking forward to the journey
How are you doing?
Love your videos, I"m waiting on my insurance to approve, its covered but they need the PA from the Dr. always something, lol
Did you gain/lose while you were off Wegovy?
Wow I throw up as well after 3 days ..I took 6 injection so far I started with 05 now I'm on 2.4 ima have to look but yeah...
Awesome!
How often do you have to get the b12 shot?
Hi Renee! I just take a b12 tablet of 3000mg everyday.
@Renée Brandenburg doctor said once a month for me because I take 5000mcg sublingual tablets once per day
Otherwise if you don't take the tablets the b12 shot should be weekly and most insurances cover it for health reasons especially if you are on wegovy or a weight loss medicine.
I lost so much of my hair . I'm ready to go to the barber and completely shave it all. Do you know when this will stop or should stop taking this injection wegovy
Have you tried taking multivitamins and a biotin gummy?
Yes
@@tc2002ableyes it's not working

Good evening one question while on it did you your hair fall
Hi there! No, I didn’t experience any fallout.
What vitamins are you taking?
Can you do a video on how to maintain after wegovy? Love your videos
Ok gurl I see you you look real good ❤
Thank you!
I have just started the highest dose of Wegovy 2.4 and I am experiencing migraines. I always deal with migraines, but I am usually able to manage them. Since my dosage has been raised they have been occurring way more than usual. Is this a normal side effect? Thank you so much for your videos!!
I would suggest having your Dr drop down the the last dose where you were able to manage. I’ve seen that help people.
I have read that upping your magnesium intake can help with migraines.
@@LooksByCeda thank you!! I'll try that
@@LeslieDick1 thank you!!
Ppl with headaches, did you take any ibuprofen, aspirin, Tylenol or nothing?
Hi there.., I’m one week in and I suffer from migraines. On Ubrelvy but I have taken Aleve when I feel a headache come on… but she is right… drink electrolytes.8!drink Alkaline water… and it’s been helping!
With the shortage my pharmacy cannot get Wegovy. What do you do?
I originally tried to get it from Walgreens who said it was on back order, then went over to CVS in Target where they were able to fill it. You can call around to different pharmacies and check.
Like you my insurance stopped covering Wegovy and I have gained about 8-10 pounds back.
Oh no! It was extremely disheartening when I found out. I’m so fortunate that they upgraded the formulary on my plan and I e been able to restart.
I was in the same situation. Insurance changed in December couldn't get Wagovy any longer as it's not covered. But my insurance does cover Saxenda so I just started that 4 weeks ago. Scale hasn't changed yet but slow and steady wins the race... right?! LOL
Is saxenda the same like wegovy ?
I’m not sure about Saxenda. I don’t have any experience with it.
What vitamins are you taking to combat side effects of this drug?
Vitamin B12 and electrolytes have helped tremendously!
Did you drink wine or champagne while in Wegovy
Yes, I have had both with no problems. I will say that I don’t have a urge to drink any alcohol. I’ve had it as part of a celebration.
I know when I gain weight, it shows up in my face.
I just started mines on Fridays
That’s great! How are you feeling?
Any side affects?
How did you do when you weren’t on it. Did you gain a lot of weight back quickly?
Thankfully I didn’t gain any weight back but I also didn’t lose any more weight.
I noticed some hair loss too..:(
Me too 😢
Nausea, Nausea!!! We forgot to talk about the nausea!
Omg! You’re so right! It’s crazy. Even eating the wrong thing can bring it on!
@@LooksByCeda Thank you, I know we can do it!
How can you get rid of bloating?
GasX or something similar helps!
Kinda random thought here……you have beautiful teeth!
Hello Shannon how are you doing today?
I lost 20 lbs in the 9 weeks I’m at the halfway mark of what is suggested. But the last two weeks I haven’t lost anything. Is that normal part of the process ?
I would suggest doing keto or maybe a liquid diet to reset you system.
I predict a “whoosh” in the next week and a half. 😉
Fingers crossed!
Did you gain any weight while you was off the medication?
Luckily I did not! I was off of it for 8 months
@@LooksByCeda woah that’s amazing; that gives me hope. I just received mines a few days ago but Was hesitant to take it after doing more research .. I’m afraid for when I get off this medication in the future that I will gain the weight back & plus . They say happens to almost everyone that stops
I love your videos
Your the best godbless
May I ask does the injection hurt, lol
No, it doesn’t hurt at all. Just a small pinch. I find that injecting in a less muscled area feels better.
@@LooksByCeda thank you

🤎❤️🖤
Should I start?? I am so torn! I need to lose a lot! But I don’t want to vomit and I don’t like needles!!! 🫣😟🥺
I wonder if it would be okay to be on herbal life also. What are your thoughts?
