A good break from the bench always makes returning that much sweeter! Winter will be here before we know it. Enjoy all the time you can outside with family while it's still warm.
Glad that you spend time with your wife and daughter. They grow up fast. My parents used to say that and now I am saying it. I have two daughters who are young adults now.
Great video tinman I definitely learned a little more the timing is something that confuses me about porting but I am starting to understand it better your channel is the best for learning this stuff thank you for making these videos
Cool content. Always enjoy going over the numbers. Would be nice to see this build start to finish. With the set up, mock up to grind. For me I have never ported a cylinder... yet.. soon maybe. On the family note, my son and his girlfriend stopped by tonight to drop off their dog. They are going elk hunting for a week. His recoil rope broke at the knot and he wasn't sure how to fix it. Took the recoil off and fixed it up, a little rewind and back together. Fired it up and tuned it for him. 10 minutes later all done. Time with your kid(s) is never wasted time, at any age. TC Mahalo Tinman 🤙🤙🤙
hey TinMan glad to see you tinkering in the shop and oh i got a fast update my friend who hooked me up with the job said to me when everything settles down give him a message and we will go from there so fingers crossed it's sooner than later.
GODBLESS the tinman family ,your right my friend you spend all the time with your family ,we aint going anywhere ,you get them to the lake as much as you can winter aint far away ,and remember you swim out and float and recharge as you said a while ago ,i can see you just chilling there ,peace an love stu.
That’s been my summer as well my son turns 1 next week and my wife and I have just tried to enjoy this because he’s just growing up too fast and he’s out first too. Excited for the 460 build this was my first bigger bar saw and it’s definitely become on of my favorites. Have a great day tinman
Young ones grow fast, you may think this is overstating things however later in life you will look back saying where did all the time go while walking your daughter down the aisle. Time does go by that fast, so sneak moments when you can Tinman as the memories will last a lifetime. Cheers.
If you polish the crown of the piston….would it lessen the chances of carbon buildup? Scotchbrite or sandpaper if any tool marks followed up with fine scotchbrite and then buff with brown compound on a cotton sewed wheel should look like a mirror. Ten minutes. Worth it?
I have a question. I ported my 365sp, I really widened and lowered the intake. Maybe a little to much, and I widened and raised the exhaust. I also opened up the lower transfers but didn’t touch the uppers. The saw runs like it has boost lag at low rpm’s. It will hesitate for a split second then rev up super fast to the limiter. Is this due to the intake being to large?

Nice close up video of the technical settings. Nice to see just how close those settings have to be. 👍

How's the Tinman family

I cant hurt to to do that.
Did you ever rescue that HD frame from the old barn or shed?
Not yet
No one on their death bed will ever say “I wish I would have spent more time on RUclips than with my family.”

Typically yes an over intaked saw will stumble off idle
I noticed you attached the timing wheel on the clutch side. Is there a reason for that?
Sometimes it's easier on that side. Depends on the saw
