WHO AM I?
Hello friends, my name is Femke! I am a nineteen year old reader from Belgium who really loves to talk about books. My first language is Dutch, but I highly prefer to read english literature. I am a second year university student in Antwerp and study English, theatre, film and literature. My goal for this channel is to create a safe space for all kinds of readers to talk about what we love most! So I hope you will enjoy my bookish rambles (preferably with a cup of tea and some cozy candles in the background).

Your goals are awesome! Not focused on reading a certain amount of books, but to enjoy the pleasure of reading ☺️ Happy 2024 🎉
Thank you! Happy 2024 to you as well :)

Hello I'm very new to this bookish youtube world and very late to the reading seriously game. I am sad to say it has taken me 60years to read my first classic and how proud am I. I have lots to catch up on : ))
You should be proud! Classics can be so daunting, but they are so worth it. Welcome to the community :))
Hi, I am a big fan of classic dystopian. I would recommend We by Yevgeny Zamyatin, which actually inspired Orwells 1984, another recommendation. Also please please read One by David Karp, its is truly incredible, a very underrated classic. Thank you for your lovely videos ❤
1984 and One were actually already on my list, but I will have to add We. Would you recommend I read it before or after 1984? Thank you so much for your recommendation 🫶🏼
I actually read 1984 first but I would say read We first, just so you can experience the source of inspiration. Perhaps read them all in chronological order, I would do that I if I could go back in time. I look forward to your videos on dystopian classics ☺️
Thank you for this advice! I am so excited to read these and share my opinions :)
