How to Claim Your Spotify for Artist Profile Through RouteNote

Log in to your RouteNote account, head to "Artist Services" in the top bar, then "Spotify for Artists":

I am very confused. I want to claim my artist profile but I don't have one. And on spotify for artists, it won't let me make one, it makes me search for an artist that exists, and says that my music has to be live to claim my own profile. But I can't upload my music since you have to choose an artist to upload to and I don't have one. What am I supposed to do?

Artist pages are automatically created by stores once your release has been distributed. You can then claim and customise these pages.

@@thesurajguptha since routenote won't answer with the exact solution, I figured it out. When you're choosing from the artists when you put in the artist name under details, there is an option to create new. That's literally it. Then, after your music is released, you can claim your profile. Hope this helped.

Hey, I used another publishing service but decided to use routenote. When I go to claim my artist profile since I already have released music it doesn't show up. I have claimed the artist account on spotify for artists and is it the reason?

It's now possible to select your existing Spotify artist page, or a new Spotify artist page, when creating your release. You can enter your Spotify URI or URL to select your page, or simply start typing your artist name and a list of Spotify profiles will appear. You should be able to select your desired page (or click 'None of these artists' for a new page) from the drop-down menu when typing your artist name.
Email support@routenote.com with your UPC and they can help you change this.

Hi, I'm trying to claim my spotify artist profile, but anytime I do what You said in this video, after typing artist name I can't do anything, because there is no blue button which allows me to accept artist name and go next. Once your release has been approved, it will be sent to your selected stores. These stores will then automatically create artist pages for you, under your artist name. You can then claim and customize these pages.
When I'm trying to claim my Spotify account is asking me for the password and the username to login and I don't know the password and username. Should I use my route note user name?
It may mean the Spotify artist page has already been claimed. Please reach out to support@routenote.com with your UPC and a link to the page you are trying to claim.
My upload isn’t showing up i released it back in February 3 2023 can you make a video how to fix it

Please contact our support team (support@routenote.com) with your UPC and the store you are having trouble finding your release on and we will check up on this for you.
You can also get some of your store links from us by heading over to the Artist Services tab of your account. There is a drop-down menu which allows you to hover over Marketing and select URL Requests. This will take you to the Pre-save URL Request form.
We will source the relevant links for you as soon as they're made available by the stores.
Please be aware releases need to be approved before you complete this form.

Yes, in order for stores to create artist pages for you, you will need to have at least on release approved and distributed.
Once a release has been approved, it will be sent to your selected stores. Those stores will then automatically create artist pages for you. You can then claim and customize these artist pages.

You don't need an artist page to create a release!
When typing in your artist name click 'None of these artists' for a new page. Once your release has been approved and distributed, your selected stores will create new artist pages for you under your artist name. You can then claim and customise these pages!

Yes, you will need to wait until your release has been approved and distributed to Spotify before trying to claim your artist page.

Whenever I try to claim my spotify artist profile, it always says something went wrong. My music uploaded fine i just can’t access my artist profile and it’s very frustrating.

The earnings for streams vary depending on what territory the release is streamed from, the store's payout for streams at that time and many other factors.

@@routenote the same song i've distributed through another distribution before, then i got 6000$ from a 6 million streams on resso, and 100$ from 100k streams on spare music distribution,
but the same release when it comes to ur distribution i got 19$ from 3 million streams on resso & and same goes to spotify
its not the problem about what territory my songs getting streamed, n india also there are high ads rate for streaming spotify & resso
please dont say like territory & 30 seconds streaming excuses,
let me talk to the CEO or pay my royalty properly
i know people make mistakes, i completely accept that, but why are you keep pretending that you did'nt do anything to my royalties i.ve old you 1000 times but still u are paying 8$, 20$ in each months from 200K streams on spotify & above 100K streams on resso
