The falsetto at the end was Bang Chan he is the leader of the group and also Australian he hand-picked each of the members to join the group wich is rare in K-pop.

Thank you for reacting to Stray Kids they're an 8-member boy group who self-produce their music. Felix is the member with the Blue hair and is Australian. They're known for their experimental hype beats but have a wide range of genres within their discography. When you down the rabbit hole you will realize all members can rap and sing. I discovered SKZ back in 2020 with God's Menu and never looked back! Looking forward to going down the rabbit hole with you. Highly recommend Maniac, Venom, S-Class, Freeze and many more.

Charmer,Venom and Freeze are 3 of my favorites from them but I have never been disappointed in any of their songs and that's a surprise to me.

With the recent comeback, I always think 'Cover Me' would be the best one that showcases their vocals along with 'Leave' which is R&B... The thing with Stray Kids is that all 8 can rap, sing and dance without one falling behind. Anyway, thanks for the reaction... really enjoyed it

Love seeing someone new find Stray Kids! If you are curious about the meaning of this MV, which aligns so beautifully with the lyrics, the giant monsters are the personification of emotions like stage fright and anxiety for the younger boys. Each scene represents a different emotion based off the Chinese symbol in each scene - Happy (bank scene), Angry (pirate scenes), Sad (domino scene) and finally Pleasure (Mad Max scene). These characters dissolve over the MV leaving the last as the main emotion, Pleasure, which is the ultimate emotion. The choreo ends with skz giving the "I love you" hand sign to the kids like saying I love you to their past selves. The last scene, the monsters are gone and the kids experience the euphoria of completing their performance with the adoration of the audience.
For move vocally driven tracks, and they have quite a few despite the group being known for their high energy "noise music". Someone has already recommended the series of First Take videos. They also have Winter Falls for Christmas (might get you in the mood) or for an unusual Christmas track, try Christmas Evel. One of my all time faves is Neverending Story which was for an K-Drama OST. Lonely Street is also quite moving with beautiful vocals. My most recent fave is Cover Me from the current album but no MV, just lyric videos.
They are a self-produced group and have many behind the scenes videos that explain the creation process when they drop new albums. Their most recent is Rock Star, of which La La La La is the title track. Their June album was 5 Star of which S-Class was the title track and been doing really well on Billboard. They won the VMA for best kpop this year. Enjoy your journey.

Listen to the song "Cover me". This is a song from the latest album. She's all vocal. I can also recommend “Taste”, "Red light" for vocal songs. Western sounding songs are (in my opinion) "Drive"', "Double knot", "Easy". Pop-rock and rock - "The sound", "Time Out", "Social Path" and "LALALALA (rock.ver.)"

also! if you want more of their singing i think the best recommendations would be their First Take videos! In case you don't know about The First Take it's a yt channel who invite artists to sing one of their songs live in one take!
I would specifically recommend these 4 songs on the first take :
- Scars (japanese release, also has a music video i would recommed watching ! the mv doesn't haves subtitles but the first take video does have them!
(all first take videos have subs and all skz's japanese videos don't have any just so yk)
- Slump (another japanese release, this was actually used as the ending of an anime called tower of god)
- Lost Me (another japanese b side, my personal favorite along with scars)
- Mixtape OH (korean & has an mv but the mv is linked to a storyline so i would suggest only listening to the first take video if you want to dive later into their storylines etc)

The member with the blue hair (in this video - because they are ALWAYS changing their hair color) is Felix. He is 23 years old and is known and loved for his deep voice. He also was competitive in taekwondo and won multiple awards/medals before becoming a member of Stray Kids. He recently signed as the House Ambassador for Louis Vuitton. I love watching people experience SKZ for the first time
Thank you for reacting to Stray Kids, an extremely talented group who produces their own songs (not common in Kpop), with amazing dancers, singers, rappers, and some of the best MVs in the industry. They have a huge discography showcasing their abilities, so I guarantee you will find the vocals you want. Since they produce their own songs, they experiment a lot and find inspirations in all genres. They are very creative and great in combining several genres in one song seamlessly. They also write meaningful lyrics (you can turn on the English subs, or you can find translations online). They have dance practices you can watch, reality shows, behind the scenes, and more (lots of content online). To top it all the 8 members have a great work ethic and personalities (which is partially why they are so successful). It’s impossible not to like this group. I recommend, S-Class, Megaverse, and for vocals Cover me (just because these are some of their latest releases, but all of their songs are great). Looking forward to more Stray Kids’ reactions.

This song is about the battle of emotions of anger & anxiety( inner demons ) vs joy/pleasure within the mind but they kind of use it in the context of battling stage fright of their younger selves in the marching band. Ultimately joy/pleasure wins.

Blue haired guy was Felix headband guy I'm assuming you're talking about Hyunjin? Both Felix and Hyunjin wore a black headband although it was for brief moments in the video. I'm surprised you even caught the headbands cuz I didn't catch it, I only saw Felix's headband cuz...well...cuz he has blue freaking hair and it stands out like a shiny star. xD I hope you definitely check out waaay more from them because I promise you, they will not disappoint. They have every kind of music you could possibly want to listen to they created a music genre of their own called "mala taste" where it's so strong that even if you don't like it you will still come back for more or may eventually start liking it. Others can probably describe it way better than I can. I've been a fan since before debut but somehow I missed this detail at some point and I need to do some more digging to fully understand it. xD

Always wonderful to see people finding our boys for the first time! If you’re looking for more vocal songs of theirs “Cover Me” and “Leave” are both really great from their newest album (the same one this song is from) and since the holiday season is rolling around their songs “Winter Falls” and “24 to 25” are also great to listen to. I’ve seen a few comments mention those and I definitely agree they’re excellent for their vocals!
Felix (blue hair boy) actually has such a wonderful range and I recommend listening to his solo song “Deep End” to get a chance to hear the diversity in his voice! He’s the one that got me into them originally but I’ve stayed for all of them cause they’re so talented and sweet!

A breakdown of the MV for you. I think the giant figures represent Fear & stage fright. (They also seem to be based on Japanese spirits of drowned sailors called Umibozu) They dissipate when the words of the emotions in the children's heads disappear. I believe the floating characters are the words Joy, Anger, Sorrow, and Happiness/pleasure. (This is what I have been told. It seems to be a mix of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, and I can read none of those.) There are four factions for four groups of the members. Since the four factions represented emotions, the locations were different. Anger was at the bottom of the ocean. It's a dense emotion that we try to smother & it thrives under pressure.The members who represent this emotion are pirates. Joy was a bank. It's an emotion that we store & take out for special things. The members that represent this emotion are in denim, but surrounded by clowns who look like the ones from the Dark Knight. Sorrow was a stark place of floating ash and monuments that were like graves. The members who represent this emotion are in pale & washed out colors mixed with white. Happiness/Pleasure was in a fort of musical instruments. It's an emotion that's loud & messy. We hear it before we see it. The members who represent this emotion look a lot like people from Mad Max mixed with military.
Now. Anger attacked Joy first. They bypassed Sorrow altogether. (You can see this in the map they showed.) But it didn't turn out. Anger was defeated & captured. That was the first word to dissipate. The next to fall was Joy. Happiness/Pleasure snuck in disguised as clowns & planted a bomb. (We saw I.N talking on a communicator & one of the clowns also had one. He later takes off the mask as he leaves revealing it's Han, yet you can also see pirate Han still tied on the floor behind him.) The bomb went off. Since the bus was in both Joy & Sorrows' realms (Back half in Joy, front in Sorrow. We can't have one of those emotions without having felt the other.) we see the explosion as the camera pans to Sorrow, and the word for Joy dissipates as well. Sorrow falls & we see that Happiness/Pleasure is all that remains. They have gathered parts of the other emotions & folded them into their own. Happiness/Pleasure is very nuanced. It can contain elements of the other emotions and still be the same.
Also. I think Lee Know said (In the video with them reacting to the music video) that the children are them when they were young. And over the years these emotions that they felt at varying times have been "defeated" and all that's left is pleasure in their music. The sequence of emotions & dissipation of said emotions seems to mirror their own journey. When they first started, everything was pretty evenly balanced. They hit a few hard times & anger kinda made an appearance, but then they started enjoying things more....Then Woojin left & sorrow took hold for a while. But they came out of that better balanced, and now are taking pleasure in their work once again. Currently they take pleasure in their work, it's tempered with the other emotions, but the dominating drive they have is happiness & pleasure. The lyrics of the song are about locking away your stress & meeting the world with fun & music.
The bus is an interesting thing. As well as being between the the factions of Joy & Sorrow (The back part was fully in Joy's section....But the front was in Sadness. Almost as if it had crashed into it.) , it's actually a call back to their beginning. And it's not the one from District 9, it's the one from Grow Up that was heading to District 9. I do think the District number being 325 is significant. Since that is the debut date, it has now become the beginning district. It WAS district 9 for the 9 of them, but that has changed over the years. And it is no longer just them. They invited ALL of us in in Back Door. At the beginning, it was small & sheltered. They were very careful of their district. But as they grew in confidence, they threw the notice out to everyone who wants to enter...All we have to do is knock.
And Felix didn't swear. Felix is saying the Korean word for Shh. I believe it's Swit? So it's a work around on the no swearing rule. Stray Kids love homophones. I mean, look at the title for the album & this song. It means happiness/pleasure in Chinese. But it sounds like the English word "rock". So the album is Rock Star, and it's all about emotions. Every song on this album is designed to touch our emotions in different ways.
I’m not ready friend for the album, I don’t know if I’ll survive 😅😭❤️but I’ll definitely be giving it a listen. I would recommend Cover me, Gone Away or Leave if you want to hear some vocals but if you want some noisy songs then i would say Side Effects, Venom, Topline, Get Lit, Gods Menu and if you want see some really great dance moves then Domino dance practice, Megaverse dance practice and Easy dance practice. I would really recommend reacting to their Kingdom stages too, because in those videos they mainly sing/rap live so you really see the talent there. Also im really looking forward on your journey with Stray Kids!

You talked about wanting to understarnd the meaning behind the song, i would recommend you to watch the LALALALA M/V [Stray Kids:Docuseries] here they talk about the meaning of the video and the thought process of making the music video, they also have videos for the behind the scenes of the MV, recording seasons and dance practices, from learning the choreo and the one with the full choreography.
For more vocal songs, i would recomend the live stage for "LEAVE", is one of the songs for their least album. CHILL, Lonely St., Secret Secret, Levanter are really good as well.
For more par heavy songs, TOPLINE, Maniac, Thunderous, S-Class, Venom. Honestly all of their songs are amazing 😅😅😅

@@chaandgabe IMO, one of their best live performances (they are all amazing!!!) is MEGAVERSE, this comeback. Honestly it's so powerful and left a lasting impression on me. And I've been to their concerts!! I would LOVE to see SKZ perform MEGAVERSE on their next tour.

Thank you for another Stray Kids reaction! I know this was your very first reaction but I saw your God’s Menu first. And definitely do the dance practices and the lyrics! And when you have a chance watch on of the many guides out there on RUclips so you get to know the boys. So a few things I love about them is 1 they are “all rounders” which means they can all sing, dance and rap; 2 the energy they bring to their music; 3 they do a lot of word play in their lyrics, I am learning Korean so I can appreciate this aspect of their music even more and 4 their love of music and performing.

In the realm of K-Pop fans I’m pretty new to boy groups, I discovered Stray Kids because I was watching a BlackPink MV and RUclips suggested God’s Menu by a group called Stray Kids and I decided why not… and as they say the rest is history. A lot of K-Pop groups like Stray Kids have their lore which is their storyline that runs through their MV, PVs and B sides and once you start down that rabbit hole there is no return… then you will be like me trying to learn Korean so you can have a deeper appreciation of their music and lyrics.

just some basic important info about the group : skz are an 8 members group, they used to be 9 so when you'll watch their 2017-2019 title tracks those wtill have the former member (woojin). the last title track he appears in is Double Knot, after that starting from Levanter it's the 8 members
(ps i won't go into details about the whole woojin issue but the most important thing to know about it is that they left on bad terms meaning skz don't want to be associated with woojin at all anymore)
very important to know : skz actually write 100% of the lyrics of their songs and produce 99% of them (sometimes along along other producers from the company especially for title tracks but most of the time they produce & arrange on their own)
they're composed of 3 official subunits :
1st subunit is called :
- 3racha :
bang chan (leader, lead vocal, rapper)
changbin (main rapper)
jisung (main rapper, lead vocal)
this unit is actually the one in charge of writing & producing skz's whole discography! you will always find "3racha" somewhere in the credits multiple times, the other members occasionally also participate in writing lyrics/producing in a few selected songs. 3racha is actually a pre-debut rap unit who released a few mixtapes of just the 3 of them before they debuted as skz. they mostly just rap in those mixtapes so you'll see the sound is quite different from skz's current sound, however there are some old 3racha songs that they actually adapted later on as ot8 songs (most of them are compiled in the Yellow Wood album)
2nd subunit is called :
- Danceracha :
Leeknow (dance leader, main dancer, vocal)
Hyunjin (main dancer, rapper)
Felix (lead dancer, rapper) (+ the one with the deep voice)
they're in charge of the dance and occasionnally participate in making some of the choreos, some of them (especially Hyunjin) also have videos of solo choreographed songs you can find on the stray kids channel under the name of "skz-player"
(ps : skz sometimes randomly releases solo/unit projets they label either as "skz-player" when there is a video to watch or "skz-record" when it's only a song. these projets (going from new songs to self-choreographed dances to covers) have nothing to do with their comebacks/albums, they're mostly just little treats for the fans)
3rd subunit :
- Vocalracha :
Seungmin (main vocal)
Jeongin (main vocal)
pretty self explenatory as well : they're in charge of the vocals and they also have a bunch of skz-records projects reaily worth checking out~
ps : they don't have "official" positions anymore but i wrote down the positions we see from them the most bc i think for new stays it helps better to get to know what each members excels at the most
this is kinda the basics but i highly suggest you to watch/react to the skz guide 2023 made by TeaNoSuga (she makes a new one every year with up to date info and you get to know more about the members!)

For a more recent song with more singing, try Social Path, which was a collaboration with the Japanese singer Lisa. I'd second the recommendation for Winter Falls. It's one of my favorites. One of the songs that they wrote specifically for their fanbase (Stays), is Youtiful off the album right before this one. (Chan has said that he wrote it as a way to respond to how many fans have told the group that without the group, the fans might not be around any more, and also how much support the fans show towards the members. Fans always tell the members how wonderful they are, how they are wonderful EXACTLY AS THEY ARE, and Chan wanted to return the sentiment. That song is in English and does have an animation music video.) For the Kingdom Legendary Wars, that someone else suggested, I second that suggestion as well, though if you want to just dip a toe in and watch one of the videos... watch the video of their cover of "I'll Be Your Man". There's some complicated backstory both for the storyline of the song and for what was going on at the time, but the performance itself is just jaw-dropping. For an introduction to the members, watch the song Fam. It's got video from concerts, but not an official MV that I am aware of. But they will walk you through all the members, their names, and a key characteristic or two. :D
Enjoy the rabbit hole that is Stray Kids! (If you haven't encountered them yet, I'd suggest that you also check out ATEEZ. They just dropped their newest song, "Crazy Form" on Dec 1st. They were also on Kingdom Legendary Wars, and they are really good friends with Stray Kids. Some other favorite songs from ATEEZ: Wonderland, Guerilla and Halazia (in that order), Fireworks, Deja Vu, The Real, and Bouncy...)
