BTW-I sold my '19 Challenger Scat Pak after I bought the BRZ. Ive owned lots of American sports cars but this BRZ is the funnest to just drive around. Glad I bought it.

I swapped accord hybrid mirrors onto my accord. The hybrids came with sequential turn signals, and I ran it under my doorjambs with the rest of the wires and I spliced into the rear turn signal wires. It wasn’t too bad and took me about an hour per side
Awesome product, wish the tint wasn't as blue, or if they had an unstinted version. My eyesight isn't the best because of brain damage and it's kind of of hard for me to make out cars in blue tinted sidemirrors. Hopefully these are better in person.
Thanks foe the video man. Question for you: with the wide angle mirrors, how do you gauge if it’s safe to make a lane change based on where the other car is in the mirror? People say if a car is on the top half of the mirror then you should be fine to change…is this true with the wide mirrors?
I have a '14 and almost hit someone today trying to do a right lane change into the center lane. The problem is that little window is so small, and you can't see the ground through it, so it's very difficult to tell if a car is next to you or if he's two lanes over and behind. It's a consequence of sitting so low - it makes it harder to park accurately too cause you can't see the ground within 8 or 10 feet in the front or right side.
I’ve been looking for blue tint for the mirrors since other cars keep blinding me and I got a rearview mirror with blue tint. I’ve notice the blind spot issue cause I keep trying to adjust my left mirror almost everyday while I’m ok with my right. Did you get the one with the defrosters? I can just pop out the mirror and not mess with the wiring?
Don't the new BRZ/GR86 have blind-spot detection? It's that orange light on the side mirrors that blinks when there is a car, or is that only on the automatic?
@@B_levan do you guys at least have the beeping for the rear camera when your about to approach something? I was backing up in a gas station when someone on a bicycle was zipping past in between me and the pump. The car started alerting me

agree - I have my mirrors set so that when a car is no longer in my rearview it is in my sideview on whichever side is applicable. I think a lot of people feel like they need to see the side of their car and have the sideview mirrors angled too far in. I've been able to do this with every car I've owned from pickup trucks down to my GR86.
Actually, no I just checked. Even with the right mirror set as far right as possible, it is still impossible to see what is behind the rear right C-pillar without changing the right side mirror to a wide angle.
Lol I’m sorry but the blind spots aren’t bad XD there are so many vehicles that have way way worse blind spots almost every car with 4 doors is worse lol. But you can fix your blind spots with a 5$ round mirror set that sticks to your side mirrors. Just saying lol
It's bad enough that I almost got into 2 accidents on the same day trying to do a right lane change in traffic, even with proper lane changing technique and the mirrors set correctly. Granted, the cars were in the exact wrong spot (and possibly had just made a left lane change into the lane to my right), but the problem is there is no way to see what's behind the C-pillar.

I appreciate it! That's a crazy jump in performance but as someone who came from a Type R, I couldn't agree more that this is a great drivers car!

This is where the blind spot monitor come in handy. I though the BSM was standard across all model. Bcoz nowadays it was standard on most new car.

I did not get the one with defrosters, but yes buying them without any of the special feature, you can just pop them out and pop in the new ones!

Yes it’s a blind spot detector It’s only in the top trim models for both twins . It’s for manual and automatic top trims .
Normally a bsm is indicated on the mirror itself, the ones for the brz/gr86 on on the sides of the housings themselves
I believe that's all the higher trims, us base models were left to be blind haha

I have it set for 6,300 which is my ideal time to shift before going over and hitting that redline throttle cut off which will slow you down

You'd have to lean way forward and look through the triangle window, but then the passenger headrest gets in the way. It's a true blind spot.
