Encountered this enchanting video by chance, to discover I’m seeing the very place my ancestors come from. My parents first met in Hambach. Like Nini, I live in another country, have done so all my life, and returning to this beautiful place is sublime. I adore it and miss it deeply. This film made a grown man cry, because it captured so beautifully the essence of this place
Great video.I visited Germany in 1994 and 1995 ,as a young medical student from London and I was really impressed by the discipline,cleanliness and the friendliness of the German people.The German countryside is really picturesque and absolutely breathtaking.Germans are very good at managing their resources and the world has a lot to learn from Germany.
There are not only old buildings in Germany, but also quite a troubled past. And the current warmongering shows that not much has changed. By the way, Japan is similar in this regard.

As a German this is nothing to me... like, i wouldn't even get out of a car for it. Just regular boring Germany. Japan however looks amazing anywhere anytime... so i guess its just the crave for the unknown.

Small German towns are literal gems - clean, inviting and peaceful. But in my opinion the true star of this video was the forest. Used to go to the mountains a lot when I was younger and I'd always stumble upon a salamander on rainy days or sometimes woodpeckers. Also the smell of mushrooms after rain is so calming.
