Thanks for uploading these videos from the 90s! These really give me a lot of nostalgia, I was a kid at the time and living in a town without an active rail line but I was obsessed with the orange and grey V/Line trains so whenever we passed through a town with a station I'd check out whatever was sitting around idle. I've since focused that obsession into modelling '92 V/Line trains on a rural town layout which your videos have shown me a bunch of small details that I wouldn't have thought about adding otherwise.
Your editing style, music choice, and including other aspects (people waiting, workers, signals, shots from nearby towns) are all top notch. They really add up to some fantastic videos.

The "BL" class had the guts thrashed out of them on interstate working, I wonder what speed they were doing from 5.17 onwards? Enjoyed the Comeng and Hitachi sets, they still reigned supreme back then and served Melbourne well, great people scenes on the platform too. Great closing scenes of the old trams, gone now but not forgotten Ted. Great work, thank you and all the best for 2024!😉👌

Thanks Dave, and thanks for taking the time to make all the comments you have over the past 18 months or so, esp noting some of the smaller detail in some of the videos.
That speed- not too sure. The S class field shunting is a clue. I vaguely recall their first field shunt being 50kmh, but could be wrong. I agree re the Hitachis and Comenges, they certainly did serve Melb well, esp the Hitachis. The Comenges had a few issues along the way, esp with the crazy cam shaft control arrangement on them. And the disc braked units were quite problematic in their earlier years. And yeah, Ive always liked to include people in my shots, esp workers. Got plenty more videos from around the country still to come. And best wishes for 2024 to yourself as well :-)

Very enjoyable. I concur with all the other comments so far. I'm searching to find which version of "In The Air Tonight" this is??

Cheers Dan, and that track is a cover by State Azure, vocals by Syberlilly. "In the Air Tonight is one of my top 10 favourite tracks, so it will likely appear from time to time in differing versions in future videos. That particular cover is so damned nice :-)

Semi-vintage Victorian trains and trams with Pink Floyd soundtrack and personal touches, I like it. ☑
