I’m ready for season three. The painting is beautiful. Angelina, poured her heart out during the concert last weekend. Our six family members that joined my wife and me, were 6 months, 14, and four in their early to mid thirties. The ones enough to speak were impressed and spoke a lot about her performance, the next day. ❤

I was expecting a bit of a letdown after the Portsmouth concert… it was such a high point of 2023. The anticipation of the concert created such a sense of electricity through the summer months and it made for an unforgettable summer. Now, to enter into what for me is a wonderful part of the year with a new season of “Wrapped in a Warm Blanket” makes the inevitable fading of the concert more easy to bear. Thank you Pontus. And thank you Alan. I look forward to seeing what’s in store for season three of WIAWB.
Imagine never having had Angelina in our lives. Unthinkable, yes, but what actually brought her magical musicality to us? She reveals this in her own words when she makes the astounding statement that if not for Billie Holiday, there would be no Angelina that we have come to know and appreciate today. Isn't it amazing that no other person is held by her in the same regard as Billie, for she has heard all the greatest singers who have ever lived? Yes, a poor, uneducated Black female who was self taught and struggled through a life of despair that was fueled by her mother being a 13 year old prostitute when she was conceived, and a father who was not a constant in her life. Still, she found it within herself to be the most inventive singer of all time and truly revolutionized the long standing genre of jazz, becoming acclaimed as the most improvisational singer of all time while becoming Angelina's true musical mentor. Doesn't it make a world of sense for Angelina to honor Billie on next April 7th, which was Billie's birthday? What would be involved in such an undertaking to truly pay tribute to a singer who Angelina says she owes everything musically to? My suggestion is that Angelina would appear in an intimate jazz club in Harlem, New York City, and void of large crowds, present 'A Night Of Billie And Angelina' that would take form with her sitting on a high stool while Billie's musical videos would play on a large screen behind her. Then, with a minimal amount of musical accompaniment, Angelina would perform the same songs 'live'. This would be an epic event that when released for viewing/listening by the masses in the world, give an extensive look into the jazz ability of the original 'Queen Of Jazz' and the current 'Queen Of Jazz', in essence 'side by side'.
I tried sending the suggestion to an email address that was supposed to be connected to Angelina but never heard back. Hopefully, someone can get it to the attention of the powers that be at Republic Records.
I'm dumbfounded. Such an imaginative concept that I can easily visualize. And, What if it could be a live stream free to all? The word would have to get out well in advance! 😇🌺

I WOULD OF GIVEN ANYTHING IF SHE WOULD HAD THE BAND SHE HAD IN NORWAY, THEN I COULD OF HEARD HER SING..! THE BAND IN NEW HAMSHIRE WAS TERRIBLE..!! THEY DROUNDED HER OUT HALF THE TIME. I SPENT A LOT OF MONEY GETTING THERE WITH MY DAUGHTER AN I HAD TO TELL HER THAT ANGELINA IS REALLY BETTER THAN SHE WAS TONIGHT. SO SAD..!
