I actually legitimately like the show so far. Laurence Fishburne, Ed O'Neill, Jackie Rivers, and Cleopatra Coleman all crush their roles as Doc Rivers, Donald Sterling, Shelly Sterling, and V Staviano respectively. I thought the show itself is pretty engaging, and does a good job just really showing how trashy Sterling and the Clippers organization were at that time and before then. Not sure what Lucy's seeing when she says that Donald Sterling is likeable in the show; the show is going out of its way to show how terrible and ignorant he is. All that being said, I do agree that the cast playing the NBA players is fucking laughable. It doesn't make me want to turn the show off, but it does make for some unintentional comedy lol.
This is 100 percent accurate I'm loving it shame on the clippers for having that great team seriously

It's kind of hard in Hollywood to cast Giants that play in the NBA and the actors don't have to actually look like the people they're playing...it's called acting. Laurence Fishburne, Ed O'Neill and J. Alphonse are some of the finest actors working today.

This might be the dumbest critique of a show I have ever seen. The actors don't look and sound exactly like the people they're playing. Who the hell cares. I like Dan but some of these other people are painful to listen to.
It's definitely not enough to make me not watch... But the actors they got to play the real-life players is pretty laughable lol. That being said, it's still a pretty engaging dramatization so far.

The vast majority of viewers wouldn’t be able to pick Doc Rivers, Donald Sterling or Chris Paul, out of a line up. Does Lucy think Adrian Brody looked like Pat Riley, in that Lakers series? Last time I checked, they don’t give awards for looking like the character you’re playing.
Adrian Brody kinda of did lol he even had that old 70s basketball walk and body.
The vast majority of viewers could pick them out of line ups. That Lakers series was set 40+ years ago. Not less than ten.

4:10 -- JJ Redick looks a LOT more like Shaun White these days than even slightly close to Redick. And, the odd thing is that NONE of them can play basketball, not even slightly. They're looking straight down trying to dribble, almost with two hands, it's so bad. Winning Time (the Lakers show) found guys who looked like the guys AND could play.

the only accurate thing she said is that it’s like pam and tommy. The rest of her take is awful. It’s a pretty entertaining show that makes both Donald and V Stiviano look bad. It called clipped bc some young mix lady had donald clipped by the balls for his money and led to both his and her downfall. The clippers team were just a biproduct of this toxic ownership and staff.
